This paper develops a finite element model for frontal crash analysis of a large-sized truck. It is composed of 220 parts, 70,041 nodes and 69,073 elements. This paper explains only major parts' models in detail such as frame, cab, floor, and bumper which affect on crash analysis a lot. In order to prevent penetration not only at a part itself but also between parts, all contact areas are defined using type-36, self-impact type. The developed model's reliability is validated by comparing simulation and crash test results. The results used for model validation are vehicle pulses at B-pillar, and frame and deformation of frame and cab. The frontal crash simulation is performed with the same conditions as crash test. And, it is performed using PAM-CRASH installed in super-computer SP2. The developed model whose reliability is verified may be used as a base to develop a finite element model for occupant behavior and injury coefficient analysis.

This study concerns the role of costume in Shakespearean tragedy from the viewpoint of the role theory. The term "role" has been used to represent the behavior expected of the occupant of a given position or status. A specific role can not be successfully performed without the aid of the Costumes. Costumes are adopted in relation with a specific role. The role of social status and position reflects sex, age, occupation, class, economic position of the characters. In his works, the crown and the mace represented not only the throne but also a previllege and supreme position. The sitution role of costume could be widely used for visualizing the psychological situation and external environments of the characters on the stage. The disguise role hided one's status, thereby makes possible acting others position. And the disguise role can bring about the change of status, age, sex, occupation, and atmosphere. The costume could be used as a voucher of love. The costume performed the role of the physical and psychic protection, and provided its wearer with consolation and peaceful mind. The costume reflected the custom of a society through its wearing condition and wearing configuration. The results obtained from this study can provide useful cues for understanding the role action in the social structure. This kind of understanding reveals the costume phenomena in real life, allows one to perform roles properly and efficiently, and opens our insight on the overall aspects of the costume culture.

The typical examples in which the costume help to make access to a specific role and can be effectively exploited for the performance of the role are manifested in the history plays of Shakespeare. Thus, our goal in this study is to analyze the role of costume which appears in Shakespeare\`s history plays from the viewpoint of the role theory. An Apartment Veranda is a transitive space which is being used for many different purpose. A Rear Veranda which is connected to the kitchen is an important space for the housekeeping work and it should be planned carefully to reflect the rational and functional designs. Therefore the objective of this research is to suggest a systematic basis for the practical space planning of the Rear veranda that meets the varied needs of consumers by examining its usage pattern through the analysis of the apartment occupant's behavior pattern stored item the degree of satisfaction and consumer requirements. The research was conducted mainly on apartments built after 1990. The following are the conclusions from the research : 1. Most of the research respondents were aware of the absolute need for the Rear veranda. But they expressed dissatisfaction with the space usage. This indicates that the Rear Veranda planning does not reflect the functionality of the space and concentrates on the idea of providing consumers a service space based on the size of the apartment instead. 2. Although the Rear veranda is used as the multipurpose housework space it is mainly used as the laundry and storage space. This shows a big deviation from the concept of the utility space. Because the behavior pattern associated with the Rear Veranda is largely influenced by the traditional life pattern the development of the Rear Veranda as an exclusive space for the housekeeping work. 3. According to a high frequency of the storage of the laundry related item in the Rear Veranda indicated by the research the Rear veranda is used as the laundry room as well as a auxiliary storage space by most people. The installation of gas range is expected to increase due to the expansion of the usage function of the Rear Veranda space. The installation of a specialized refrigerator to store the traditional food is demanded. 4. Consumers need more efficient and functional storage device because the temporary shelves are often being used as the storage device. The perception of the storage device is assumed to have been influence by the traditional life style.

본 연구는 공간의 형태와 출입문의 개폐방향, 유도등 픽토그램의 형상에 따라 재실자(피실험자)들의 경로선택에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보기 위한 것으로 컴퓨터 가상현실을 활용한 시뮬레이션 실험을 통해 수행하였다. T형 복도와 +형 복도를 대상으로 하여 시나리오별로 피난구유도등, 복도통로유도등을 배치하고 이를 컴퓨터 그래픽화하여 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 피난구유도등 픽토그램의 2가지 방향(좌, 우)에 대한 인간 행동의 반응(응답)과 출입구의 열리는 방향에 따른 영향 등을 분석하였다. 또한 통로유도등의 존재 유무에 따른 의사결정의 변화 등을 확인하였다. 실험결과, 방향선택 응답률을 살펴보면 첫째, T자형 복도에서 출입문에 유도등이 없을 경우, 출입문이 열리는 방향에 의해 영향을 받음을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 출입문 상단에 유도등이 있을 경우에는 유도등 픽토그램의 방향과 일치하는 방향의 응답률이 높게 나타나 유도등의 픽토그램의 방향이 재실자의 피난경로선택에 영향을 미침을 확인하였다.

본 연구에서는 한국도로공사 도로교통기술원에서 수행한 충격흡수시설의 충돌시험 결과 데이터를 분석하여 충격흡수시설 설계법 개발을 위한 유용한 결과를 얻고자 하였다. 분석에 사용된 CC1등급 충격흡수시설 10회, CC2등급 충격흡수시설 24회 총34회의 충돌시험 결과데이터들을 이용하여 국내 지침에 따라 탑승자 충돌속도(THIV)와 탑승자 가속도(PHD)를 계산하였고 총34회의 충돌시험데이터에서 Y축 가속도와 Yaw 각속도를 무시하고 X축 가속도 충돌시험데이터만을 이용해 탑승자 충돌속도(THIV)와 탑승자 가속도(PHD)를 계산하였다. 비교분석 결과 충격흡수시설의 탑승자 안전도가 오차율 2% 미만으로 나타나 X축 가속도 충돌시험데이터만을 이용한 탑승자 안전도 계산의 유효성이 증명되었다. 충돌시험 데이터 중 X축 가속도를 적분하여 얻은 흡수에너지와 초기 충돌차량의 충돌에너지를 비교분석한 결과, 거의 정확히 일치하여 X축 가속도만을 사용한 충격흡수시설의 충돌거동 분석이 가능하였다. 본 논문에서는 충격흡수시설의 실물차량 충돌시험데이터를 이용해 탑승자의 안전도 및 충돌거동을 분석함으로써 일차원을 적용한 충격흡수시설의 설계법 개발의 근간을 마련하였다.

Current [Guideline for Installation and Management of Sidewalks and Safety Facilities on Roads] suggests that the types of curbs should be Barrier curb ($85^{\circ}$). Although Barrier curbs ($90^{\circ}$) were not specified in the guideline. The curbs installed on the roads currently are Barrier curbs ($90^{\circ}$) which are not specified in the installation standard. Therefore, it is critical to prepare for the installation standard of curbs by researching types of curbs and driving safety. This research have assessed the driving safety throughout Full Scale Crash Test according to type of curbs (Barrier curbs ($85^{\circ}$) and Barrier curbs ($90^{\circ}$)). Barrier curbs ($90^{\circ}$) showed higher figure in Theoretical head Impact Velocity, Post-impact Head Deceleration, Vehicle Damage when Crash, Passenger's Wounds Severity, and every other items than Barrier curbs ($85^{\circ}$). Barrier curbs ($85^{\circ}$) were found to have better Occupant Safety Index. Analysis of Behavior Using Full-Scale Crash Test showed difference depending on the Impact Condition between Barrier curbs ($85^{\circ}$) and Barrier curbs ($90^{\circ}$). Generally, Barrier curbs ($85^{\circ}$) were superior than Barrier curbs ($90^{\circ}$) in terms of protecting the passengers and vehicle damages. When an impact angle increases, Acceleration of Vehicle, Variations of Speed, and Contact Relationship between Wheels and Curbs, two types of curb showed similarity. However, if an impact of an angle decreases, Barrier Curbs ($85^{\circ}$) showed excellence in Driving Safety such as Acceleration of Vehicle, Variations of Speed, and Contact Relationship between Wheels and Curbs.

Objective: The objective of this study was to define the Dynamic Sitting (DS) through trend analysis and research on the Dynamic Chair (DC) and applied technologies. Background: The effects of changing posture on the human body have been studied to find out healthy sitting postures. It is believed that changing posture is effective in reducing disc pressure on spinal cord and preventing back pain and musculoskeletal disease. But, the definition of DS and trends of DC have not been researched yet. Therefore, trend analysis of DC and its applied technologies are required to define dynamic sitting posture. Method: We researched the type of occupant postures from previous studies. And then, sitting behaviors were classified into three types; (1) sitting and standing, (2) working and studying, (3) taking a rest. Results: Variety shapes of DC and applied technologies were found out. From the result, the trend of DC and applied technology were summarized from three perspectives. ; (1) changing the chair functions according to user's intention, (2) conversion of dynamic chair technologies to office chair mechanism, (3) enables the user to change their sitting posture without operating control device. Conclusion: From this study, we defined dynamic sitting posture and analyzed the trend of DC and its applied technologies. This result might be used to develop an office chair for healthy sitting. But further investigation is required to figure out the technologies and functions for development of healthy chair. Application: The results of the publishing trend analysis might help to determine design concept of office chair.

고령자 가구의 급격한 증가는 전 세계적 추세이며 의료비 등 사회적 비용 또한 급격히 증가할 것으로 예상된다. 치매와 같은 노인성 기능 질환의 경우 고령자의 일상생활 활동 (ADL) 패턴을 상시적으로 모니터링하고 평소와 다르거나 비정상적인 패턴이 발생하는 경우 이를 치매 조기진단의 근거로 활용할 수 있다. 그러나 사생활 침해의 우려가 큰 기존의 직접적 센싱 방식과 달리 간접적 센싱 방식 (Non-intrusive approach)을 활용하여 재실자의 최소한의 정보 (Coarse-grained data)만을 수집하고, 이를 통해 활동 정보를 추출하는 연구는 거의 이루어지지 않았다. 또한 추출된 활동 및 활동패턴을 이해하기 위해 활동의 맥락적 정보를 시각화하는 방법 또한 추가적인 연구가 필요하다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 재실자의 정보 중 시 공간 데이터 로그만을 활용하여 재실자의 수행 활동을 추출하고 컨텍스트화 된 행동 정보를 공간-활동 지도 (Space-Activity Map)로 시각화한다. 본 연구는 재실자의 일상생활 활동 패턴을 추출하는 데 기반이 되는 연구로서, 향후 고령자를 위한 상시적인 건강 모니터링 기술의 도입에 기여할 수 있다.
