The purpose of this study is to investigate the change of gaze and the change of the proof learning achievement after learning the analytic method for proof to mathematical gifted students using eye tracking technique. In order to complete the purpose of this study, a mixed method research was used, that is a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods. Quantitative analysis was conducted based on the data obtained through the eye tracker, and qualitative analysis was also done using post interview data to make up for the quantitative analysis. The subjects of this study were 8 mathematical gifted 3rd grade middle school students in the gifted education center. The conclusions of this study are as follows. First, the learning of analysis leads to a change of gaze in the proof learning of students. The students, after learning the analysis, moved their gaze from the bottom to the top when solving the proof problem, and the occupancy rate of the gaze to the bottom of the proof was higher than the higher part. Second, the change of gaze caused by the learning of the analysis have a correlation with the achievement of the proof learning and it can be seen that the method learning improves the achievement of the proof learning of the students.

One of the traffic problems has been caused by the illegal parking because of the lack of parking space. Especially, the illegal occupancy of the road near an intersection makes an serious reduction of road capacity. The current illegal parking and stop-prohibited areas have been designated for less than 5 meters from the edge or the corner of the 4-leg intersection. However, in reality, the cars parked at the place over 5 meters have had a significant impact on the intersection traffic. In addition, many variables such as intersection type, size, and service levels should be considered as factors which influence on the traffic condition at the intersection. It was assumed that through and right-turn traffic rate have a significant impact on the 4-leg intersection with the illegal parking or stop near it. This study tried to verify the impact through the simulation implementation with MOE and LOS. It shows a guideline to designate the parking or stop-prohibited area near the 4-leg intersection under various traffic conditions.
Purpose: To analyze relation between age or parameters measured before operation and cartilage erosion of the first metatarsal head measured during operation. Materials and Methods: The study was targeted at 56 patients and 79 feet, who underwent Scarf osteotomy or Scarf and Akin osteotomy from November 2009 through November 2010, and whose cartilage lesion of the first metatarsal head referred to the cartilage grade III or IV of the International Cartilage Repair Society. The measurement parameters were age, hallux valgus angle, intermetatarsal angle (1~2), tibial sesamoid position, proximal articular set angle and distal articular set angle. The cartilage erosion of the first metatarsal head was measured by one surgeon using cellophane. Occupancy rate and frequent involved sites of the cartilage erosion were recorded using Auto$CAD^{(R)}$ and adobe Illustrator CS4 program. SPSS correlation test and T-test were used for statistical analysis of the parameters and the cartilage erosion. Results: The cartilage erosion was incurred frequently in the sagittal groove and the site where subluxation or dislocation of the tibial sesamoild bone occurred but frequent involved sites had no statistical significance with cartilage erosion. The age showed a statistical significance with the cartilage erosion in the correlation test (p=0.003). Especially, the group of over 51 year old patients was turned out to have association with the cartilage erosion, compared to the group of below 51 (p=0.007). But, hallux valgus angle, intermetatarsal angle (1~2), tibial sesamoid position, proximal articular set angle and distal articular set angle were no statistical significance with the cartilage erosion. Conclusion: We found the more the age of patients increased (especially above 51), the more cartilage erosion increased. And it is thought that we pay attention to reduce tibial sesamoid bone.
A median is a safety feature most commonly used to separate opposing traffic on a divided highway. In designing highways, the selection and installation of a median can be a critical part from a safety viewpoint because road crossing accidents are definitely more serious than other accidents. In regard to the important function of the median. the proper countermeasure ought to have been provided and thorough study should have been carried out. In this paper, traffic accident data are analyzed to examine the accident reduction effect of the median, which are gathered from all over 4-lane national roads in Korea. The traffic accident data were categorized into two groups by the existence of a median. For more effective analysis, the data have been classified by accident type, severity. and occurrence time. To compare the effectiveness of median installation, not only the accident frequency but also the accident severity, EPDO. and the occupancy rate of specific accidents have been used as a mode of effectiveness. The analysis of the effectiveness of medians shows that both the accident frequency and the accident severity could decrease by providing a median. Also the section where a median was supplied showed the improvement of overall safety through fewer serious and fatal crashes as well as fewer head-on crashes. Therefore, conclusions can be drawn from results of this study that the median installation is an important means to increase the safety of over 4-lane national roads. This study is expected to provide the reasonability of the median installation by identifying the reduction of traffic accident after the median installation and to play a major role in selecting sections where the median is to be offered.
This study was designed to find out the factors which influence on the financial performance of the hospital. Out of 32 provincial hospitals which were established by the government, 10 hospitals were selected as sample hospitals. Ten hospitals were divided into two groups(5 hospitals each), one of which was profit-making and the other loss-making. The criteria in selecting profit or loss-making hospitals was net profit to total revenue. The major finding of the study was as follows; 1. Whether or not a hospital had specialized in certain departments was proved to be the major factor influencing on the financial performance. Three out of five profit-making hospitals could harvest following results by operating specific departments. (1) Man powers needed for the operation of specific departments were 14.6 persons per 100 bed, which was only 1/7 of the general hospital. (2) The number of doctors has not increased in proportion to the increase of the number of beds. (3) Ratio of total revenue to MD.'s payroll expenses of the profit-making hospitals was 75.0% higher than the loss-making hospitals. (4) The average length of stay of specific department was very long(388.1 days). However, the specific departments were found to have contributed much to the financial performance because the occupancy rate of such departments was very high(94.5%). 2. The headcount per 100 bed of the profit-making hospitals was 23.9 persons(24.0%) less than the loss-making hospitals and the ratio of payroll expenses to total revenue 15.1% less. 3. Averagel revenue per specialist of the profit-making hospitals was 100 million(25.1%) more than loss-making hospitals and the ratio of total revenue to MD's payroll expenses of profit-making hospital was 75.0% higher. 4. Profit-making hospitals have introduced new systems or renovation in 36 fields, such as incentive payment system, utilization of contracted man powers, change of the payroll structure of the nurses, specialization in certain departments, etc; however, loss-making hospitals introduced only 25 new systems or renovations. These kind of renovation could not be achieved without the cooperation of the labor union and the strong will of the top management. Therefore, it could be said that the labor union of the profit-making hospitals seems to have been very cooperative compared with that of loss-making hospitals.
To investigate the spatial distribution and daily calling pattern of the Gold-spotted pond frog, Rana chosenica, in Chungju city and Chungwon gun, Chungbuk province, Korea, we divided the study area into 226 plots with a $2{\times}2km^2$ plot on the map, of which we assigned 32 plots for monitoring populations. Call monitoring on whether the species are present or not were conducted for 5 minutes in between sunset and the midnight from at the end of May to July in 2006. Gold-spotted pond frogs were detected at least once four out of 32 plots. Using program Presence, we obtained site occupancy rate as 0.170 which was quite low compared with other species, while detection probability was 0.66 that propose at least three times to visit the monitoring site to confirm the absence of the frogs. The frogs were actively calling from 21:00 to 02:00, and the number of calling male was significantly and highly correlated with water temperature and humidity. This study shows the present status of the Gold-spotted pond frogs in Chungju city and Chungwon gun and we suggests various effective monitoring methods based on the this study.

As of June 2008, the government's expansion policy for the long-term care service infrastructure has achieved an outstanding 96.4% occupancy rate of facilities across the country. Despite such achievement, practical issues including the physical lack of facilities, disproportional regional spread and decline in government accountability have raised concerns about the effectiveness of the policy's implementation. This study was aimed at defining the implementation procedure of expansion policy for long-term care service infrastructure, analyzing variables that affect it, examining the problems revealed in implementation procedure, and suggesting improved plan on that policy. Research methods were to review literatures on infrastructure expansion policy, to conduct case studies on K province, C city and 4(2 corporations and 2 privately owned) facilities in C city for studying practical implementation procedure on a local government level, and to use Alexander(1985)'s framework for analyzing variables of policy implementation. As a result of this study, policy variables including the clarity and adequacy of policy goal, nature of service providers, task and responsibility between government authorities, and implementation variables such as propensity toward budget allocation, financial restraint, swift utilization of budgets and the streamlining of involved procedures and inter-agency relations stood out as the main factors affecting policy implementation. In adddition, this study suggested several improvement measures such as accounting facilities need based on real local demand and supporting to private participation and so on.
Although inconspicuous marsh birds are an indicator of marsh health, there is little understanding of their status and population trends due to their behavioral characteristics and lack of reliable survey methods in Korea. We applied the Standardized North American Marsh Bird Monitoring Protocols(SNAMBMP) already validated in North America for effective survey of the marsh birds. We selected 29 sites with emergent marshes, rice fields and riparian forests in Seocheon-gun, Buyeo-gun and Gunsan-si. We conducted the survey with a combination of passive 5 minute point-count and vocal survey method (30 seconds call-broadcasting+30 seconds silence) that was targeted eight species 2~7 times/site from March to July 2017. Four species, Brown-cheeked Rail(Rallus indicus), Ruddy-breasted Crake (Porzana fusca), Watercock (Gallicrex cinerea) and Greater Painted-snipe (Rostatula benghalensis), were detected at one site respectively (naïve occupancy rate=0.035). Vocal survey method with conspecific call-broadcasting provided better on Brown-cheeked Rail and Watercock than the others. We suggest a combination of passive point-count and vocal survey method like SNAMBMP to monitor inconspicuous marsh birds at nationwide scale and collection of sound files through recording of the entire process during the survey.

Objective: This study examined whether emergency department (ED) crowding influences the timing of the initial assessment and treatment in severe trauma patients, as well as their mortality rates. Methods: This retrospective, observational study was conducted between January 2015 and October 2016, and included adult severe trauma patients who presented to the ED. The emergency department occupancy rate (EDOR) was used to measure ED crowding. The patients were divided into four groups using the EDOR quartile. The timeliness of the initial assessment and treatment in the four groups as well as the mortality rates were compared. Results: This study investigated 307 patients. The timing of the first computed tomography (CT) and laboratory test order, CT and laboratory test result acquisition, first transfusion, and patient transfer from the ED to the operating room were similar in the four groups. Multivariable logistic regression analysis did not show a significant difference in mortality between the groups. Conclusion: ED crowding was not associated with delays in the initial assessment and treatment of severe trauma patients, or in their mortality rates.
This work aims to : establish a model of the container physical distribution system of Pusan port comprising 4 sub-systems of a navigational system, on-dock cargo handling/transfer/storage system, off-dock CY system and an in-land transport system : examine the system regarding the cargo handling capability of the port and analyse the cost of the physical distribution system. The overall findings are as follows : Firstly in the navigational system, average tonnage of the ships visiting the Busan container terminal was 33,055 GRT in 1990. The distribution of the arrival intervals of the ships' arriving at BCTOC was exponential distribution of $Y=e^{-x/5.52}$ with 95% confidence, whereas that of the ships service time was Erlangian distribution(K=4) with 95% confidence, Ships' arrival and service pattern at the terminal, therefore, was Poisson Input Erlangian Service, and ships' average waiting times was 28.55 hours In this case 8berths were required for the arriving ships to wait less than one hour. Secondly an annual container through put that can be handled by the 9cranes at the terminal was found to be 683,000 TEU in case ships waiting time is one hour and 806,000 TEU in case ships waiting is 2 hours in-port transfer capability was 913,000 TEU when berth occupancy rate(9) was 0.5. This means that there was heavy congestion in the port when considering the fact that a total amount of 1,300,000 TEU was handled in the terminal in 1990. Thirdly when the cost of port congestion was not considered optimum cargo volume to be handled by a ship at a time was 235.7 VAN. When the ships' waiting time was set at 1 hour, optimum annual cargo handling capacity at the terminal was calculated to be 386,070 VAN(609,990 TEU), whereas when the ships' waiting time was set at 2 hours, it was calculated to be 467,738 VAN(739,027 TEU). Fourthly, when the cost of port congestion was considered optimum cargo volume to be handled by a ship at a time was 314.5 VAN. When the ships' waiting time was set at I hour optimum annual cargo handling capacity at the terminal was calculated to be 388.416(613.697 TEU), whereas when the ships' waiting time was set 2 hours, it was calculated to be 462,381 VAN(730,562 TEU).
