어업관리 옵서버 제도의 효과에 대한 생물경제학적 분석 (Bioeconomic Analysis of Effectiveness of the Observe Program in Fisheries Management)

  • The observer program is being utilized In various fishing areas and fisheries internationally and nationally due to the its expected effectiveness in fisheries management and the collection of bioeconomic data necessary in fisheries management policy. The timely gathered data by observers play substantially a major role in decision-making fisheries policy such as the change in management measures, the application of season closure and area closure and etc. The expected effectiveness of the observer program In fisheries management, generally mentioned, is that it would lead to the increase in stock size from which the level of harvest would consequently increases. This study is aimed to analyze this tentatively expected effectiveness of the observer program in fisheries management. The changes in stock size and the level of harvest over time are analyzed under the observer program assuming the fishermen bear the cost of the observer program by investigating the change in fisherman's fishing activity under the observer program and by combining this changed activity with the biological model. The level of fishing efforts of fishermen was decreased from the results of the increase in fishing cost caused by the observer cost and the decrease in catchable stock size restricted by observers. This reduced level of fishing efforts enables stock size to increase over time and therefore, the expected level of harvest increases as time goes on. Another benefit under the observer program is to reduce management costs from the fact that fishermen are responsible for the cost of the observer program and the avoidance cost of fisherman responding to the fisheries regulation could be eliminated from the surveillance of observer. Therefore, it may possible to accomplish the cost-efficient fisheries management policy.

관찰 예능의 장르화 과정과 스토리텔링 연구 -관찰자의 역할을 중심으로 (A Study on the Formative Process of Genre and Storytelling in Observation Entertainment Programs - Focusing on the Role of Observer)

  • 최근 5년 사이 한국 방송의 관찰 예능 편중 현상이 심화되었다. 그에 따라 한국 관찰 예능 특유의 소재인 '가족', 그리고 엿보기, 관음증과 같은 키워드들이 주목받기도 했다. 본 논문은 그러한 사회학적 접근이 아닌 장르와 스토리텔링이라는 문화콘텐츠, 서사학적 관점을 바탕으로 관찰 예능을 분석한다. 관찰 예능의 텍스트 내적 성질 파악을 통해 방송콘텐츠로써 관찰 예능이 지닌 가치를 탐색할 수 있다고 판단했기 때문이다. 한국 관찰 예능의 원류는 리얼 버라이어티로부터 시작한다. 리얼 버라이어티의 '사실성' 논쟁을 거치며, 그 대안적 형태로서 관찰 예능이 등장했다. 화면의 객관성을 최대한 보장하는 다큐멘터리적 양식의 이입, 다수의 출연자를 개별적으로 분리한 옴니버스식 구성, '일상'을 주 공간으로 선정해 시청자의 공감을 끌어내는 전략 등은 관찰 예능에 일관된 패턴을 만들며 하나의 장르화를 이끌었다. 특히 '관찰자'는 관찰 예능의 장르화에 있어 핵심적 요소로 기여했다. 관찰자의 성격화에 따라 프로그램의 주제가 결정되었고, 그에 따른 개별 텍스트 포맷의 변별성이 만들어진다. 관찰자는 관찰 대상을 지켜보는 '관찰자'로서 시청자의 시점을 결정하는 역할을 하고, 동시에 '서술자'로서 프로그램의 서사를 구축하는 역할을 수행한다. 관찰 예능의 스토리텔링에 있어서 가장 영향력 있는 존재이자 요소로 기능하는 것이다. 관찰 예능에서 '관찰'은 하나의 형식일 뿐이다. 이 동일 형식 안에서 서사성을 만들고 텍스트별 변별성을 만들어 내는 프로그램 요소는 관찰자이다. 또한 그동안 관찰 예능과 같은 리얼리티 쇼의 주된 명제는 관음의 문제였는데, 관찰자에 의해 걸러진 서술과 전달은 리얼리티 쇼의 선정성 문제, 관음의 문제도 상당 부분 완화시킨다. 이처럼 관찰자를 통해 분석되는 관찰 예능은 TV 속 '리얼리티'의 문화적 의미, 현대 한국 TV 예능 장르의 스토리텔링 전략을 이해하고 예측할 수 있게 한다는 점에서 의의를 찾을 수 있다.

Improvement on Sensorless Vector Control Performance of PMSM with Sliding Mode Observer

  • This paper proposes improvement on sensorless vector control performance of a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) with sliding mode observer. An adaptive observer gain and second order cascade low-pass filter (LPF) were used to improve the estimation accuracy of the rotor position and speed. The adaptive observer gain was applied to suppress the chattering intensity and obtained by using the Lyapunov's stability criterion. The second order cascade LPF was designed for the system to escalate the filtering performance of the back-emf estimation. Furthermore, genetic algorithm was used to optimize the system PI controller's performance. Simulation results showed the effectiveness of the suggested improvement strategy. Moreover, the strategy was useful for the sensorless vector control of PMSM to operate on the low-speed area.

원양어업 옵서버 프로그램 운영현황과 개선방안 (Study on the status and improvement of national observer programs for Korean distant water fisheries)

  • After the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) and the United Nations Fish Stocks Agreement (UNFSA) came into effect, international cooperation through Regional Fisheries Management Organizations (RFMOs) was required, and each RFMO established and adopted the Conservation and Management Measure (CMM) for the regional Observer Programs to collect data on fishing activities and biological information and to monitor compliance with its CMMs. The observer coverage required by RFMO is set differently for each organization, ranging from 5% to 100%. In addition, tuna-RFMOs recommend increasing observer coverage in longline fisheries by at least 20% for reliable quantitative analysis of not only target species but also bycatch species and ecologically related species such as sharks, seabirds, sea turtles, and marine mammals. Therefore, in this study, we discussed ways to improve the national observer programs of Korean distant water fisheries that should be addressed in the future to respond to the RFMO trends.

이식형 포트 삽입 학령전기 아동의 주사공포감소를 위한 프로그램 개발 및 효과 (Development and Effects of Fear-Reduction Program for Malignant Disease Children with Inserting Implanted Port)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a play education program to reduce children's fear of needle insertion to the implanted port, and to assess the effect of this program. Method: The play education program was composed of play education before needle insertion, encouragement during needle insertion, and a present to reward then after needle insertion. Measurement instruments were the Procedure Behavior Check List(PBCL) and Faces Rating Scale(FRS). Results: The first hypothesis, "the PBCL point of children with malignant disease would decrease after play education program", was rejected(before insertion : Z=-0.189, p= .850, during insertion : Z=-0.350. p= .727, after insertion : Z=-0.590, p= .555). The second hypothesis, "the FRS point of children with malignant disease would decrease after play education program education", was rejected(observer 1 : Z=-0.245, p= .806, observer 2 : Z=-0.912, p= .362, self-report : Z=-0.181, p= .856). The third hypothesis, "the Time of needle insertion would decrease after play education program", was rejected(Z=-0.464, p= .642). Conclusion: The effect on fear-reduction of play education program for children with malignant disease inserted implanted port was not significant but continuous education is needed for parents and children.

Effects of 1 year of training on the performance of ultrasonographic image interpretation: A preliminary evaluation using images of Sjogren syndrome patients

  • Purpose: This study investigated the effects of 1 year of training on imaging diagnosis, using static ultrasonography (US) salivary gland images of Sjögren syndrome patients. Materials and Methods: This study involved 3 inexperienced radiologists with different levels of experience, who received training 1 or 2 days a week under the supervision of experienced radiologists. The training program included collecting patient histories and performing physical and imaging examinations for various maxillofacial diseases. The 3 radiologists (observers A, B, and C) evaluated 400 static US images of salivary glands twice at a 1-year interval. To compare their performance, 2 experienced radiologists evaluated the same images. Diagnostic performance was compared between the 2 evaluations using the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC). Results: Observer A, who was participating in the training program for the second year, exhibited no significant difference in AUC between the first and second evaluations, with results consistently comparable to those of experienced radiologists. After 1 year of training, observer B showed significantly higher AUCs than before training. The diagnostic performance of observer B reached the level of experienced radiologists for parotid gland assessment, but differed for submandibular gland assessment. For observer C, who did not complete the training, there was no significant difference in the AUC between the first and second evaluations, both of which showed significant differences from those of the experienced radiologists. Conclusion: These preliminary results suggest that the training program effectively helped inexperienced radiologists reach the level of experienced radiologists for US examinations.

  • A Microprocessor Based Digital Control System is inherently contained a control lag for processing the control program and a data detection time lag. This two types of time lag may cause the system to become unstable. In this paper proposed predictive state observer is used to solve the two time lag problems. I-P control algorithm is used to attain deadbeat response by adjusting the observer gain to overcome the parameter variation or with disturbance. The speed response shows good performance through computer simulation.

  • In this paper design of speed observer and controller for AC servo system by rapid design system(RG-01D) using DSP of Realgain company is introduced. 'AC Servo-Designer' system, including CEMTool /SIMTool S/W, RG-DSPIO board, AC servo driver and AVTOTool program, is used in this research. Because 'AC Servo-Designer' system can use SIMTool blocks to design and implement various controller in short time, speed observer and controller for AC servo system is easily designed and implemented according to control objectives.

  • 본 논문에서는 리얼게인사의 DSP를 사용하는 고속설계시스템에 의한 AC 서보 시스템의 속도관측기 및 속도제어기의 설계에 대하여 소개한다. CEMTool/SIMTool 소프트웨어 프로그램과 RG-DSPIO 제어보드, AC 서보 드라이버와 AUTOTool 프로그램으로 구성되어 있는 "AC Servo-Designer" 시스템이 본 연구에서 사용되었다. "AC Servo-Designer" 시스템은 SIMTool 블록들을 사용함으로써 짧은 시간동안에 다양한 형태의 제어기를 설계 및 구현할 수 있도록 해 주는 장점이 있기 때문에 AC 서보 시스템의 속도 관측기 및 속도제어기를 제어 목적에 따라서 쉽게 설계하고 구현할 수 있다.
