Transient Stability Analysis Based on OOP (객체지향기반 과도 안정도 해석)

  • This paper presents the new method of power system transient stability simulation, which combines the desirable features of both the time domain technique based on OOP(Object-oriented Programming) and the direct method of transient stability analysis using detailed generator model. OOP is an alternative to overcome the problems associated with the development, maintenance and update of large software by electrical utilities. Several papers have already evaluated this approach for power system applications in areas such as load flow, security assessment and graphical interface. This paper applied the object-oriented approach to the problem of power system dynamics simulation. The modeling method is that each block of dynamic system block diagram is implemented as an object and connected each other. In the transient energy method, the detailed synchronous generator model is so-called two-axis model. For the excitation model, IEEE type1 model is used. The developed mothed was successfully applied to New England Test System.

  • This study presents an application of object-oriented methodology for structural design process. A prototype of integrated structural design system is developed by introducing a structural analysis object model(SAOM) and structural design object model (SDOM). This SAOM module, which models structural member, performs structural analysis using FEM approach and the SDOM module checks structural members based on Korea steel design standard. The abstraction, encapsulation and reusability properties of the proposed models are in establishing the integrated structural design system.

  • In this paper, we propose Class Diagram With Constraints (CDWC) as an object oriented modeling technique which makes validation possible in software development. CDWC is a simple and basic model for the object oriented analysis, and has a reasonable strictness for software developers. CDWC consists of class diagrams and constraints (invariant and pre/post conditions), using UML and a subset of OCL.. We introduce a method of validation of CDWC using the verification technique of algebraic formal specification language CafeOBJ.

  • Database management systems are now used in almost every organization to maintain and utilize important collections of information. Relational DBMSs have a firm theoretical base. However, it lacks important features needed for representing certain critical aspects of an entity. One alternatives to remedy this problem is to adopt the object-oriented approach to the data model development process. In this paper, we tried to show the advantages of object-oriented data model design process for the development of extended relational database schema needed for the integrated plant information system at H.   • Hazard and operability (HAZOP) analysis is one of the safety analysis method that is used in the chemical complex, because it can systematically identify causes and consequences of all the deviation that could occur. Since this method needs to hire specialized experts, it is costly and time-consuming. Therefore HAZOP Expert System has been developed to automate this analysis. This approach introduced object-oriented method and knowledge representation which is hierarchical tree of units to supply flexibility in the system, functional semantic network, propagation equation and rule-chaining method to set up the expert system for automating HAZOP analysis.

  • Object-oriented porgramming is a major trend in computer software because it increases the flexibility of large scale software system. In this paper the advantages of the new software approach for optimal design of induction motor are demonstrated with an implementation of the motor design and characteristics analysis functions. And evolution strategy is used in optimization process.

  • This study reviews the concept of Integrated Logistic Support(ILS), ILS standards, ILS elements, and the processes of developing ILS elements and Logistics Support Analysis(LSA). It also examines the potentials of applying ILS development process to building CALS systems in commercial sectors in order to accomplish business process innovation and achieve life-cycle cost savings in product and equipment management. In order to utilize the ILS approach for commercial industries, we need customizing the process of Logistics Support Analysis defined in MIL-STD-1388-lA. The success of ILS implementation depends on the determination of the range of ILS elements in relation with the application environment, and the appropriate development of those elements. During the development process, in order to analyze and design logistics flow processes and supporting activities, we suggest the object-oriented logistics process modeling approach with basic concepts and constructs embedded in objects. Several diagrams including Class Diagram, Class-Instance Diagram, and Integrated Instance Diagram, are provided. Simple Steps to follow are suggested for the analysis and design of inter-organizational logistics flow and support processes. The outcomes of the study are expected to contribute to stimulating the utilization of ILS concepts and development process during building commercial CALS systems.

  • A new methodology for representing the interaction between machines and the interlock signals required in FMCs has been developed. Object-Oriented Philosophies (OOPs) lend themselves to the development of such a scheme. A methodology developed here regards the tasks to be performed by the cell or any of its constituent machines for being primal. Sensory signals indicating the changes of state pf machines are used to trigger or initiate tasks. A task may be simple and require a relatively short time to execute, or may be complex and lengthy. This methodology may be depicated by a set of diagrams called Task Initiation Diagram (TID) and their accompanying rules.
