  • HLA (High Level Architecture) is the object, time, and interface standard that proposed for distribution simulation in the US Department of Defense. The HLA is defined by three components: Rules, the HLA Interface Specification, and the Object Model Template (OMT). The RTI (Run-Time Infrastructure) software implements the interface specification. It provides services to simulation applications. To test whether a RTI software is suitable for the standard and all service was implemented is performed through two phases of processes proposed by DMSO. In this paper, we implement Level One Test Procedures of DMSO and apply to NetCust's RTI software. The experimental results are discussed.

  • The HLA is defined by three components: (1) Rules, (2) the HLA Interface Specification, and (3) the Object Model Template(OMT). The RTI(Run-Time Infrastructure) software implements the interface specification. It provides services in a manner that is comparable to the way a distributed operating system provides services to applications. A way to test whether is suitable for a standard, and all service was implemented is tested through two phases of processes to verify the RTI which proposed in DMSO. In this paper, we discuss Level One Test Procedures and a method. Confirms whether RTI was implemented in Interface Specification according to Level One Test Procedures appropriately through a test. Develops Test Suite for every each step to test whether a correct command and the expected results are occur.

  • Programmers can be got the test-related information for implementation without interference of source code complexity by use of the formal specification. Especially the external inputs and system responses can be represented precisely by formal specification in testing phase of web-based software systems. This paper suggests a method of extracting test cases by use of formal specification. Object-Z formal specification represents various test-related information for complex functions of web-based applications. State Transition Models could be built from the formal specification so that test scenarios were extracted from STDs from the highest level to detail levels. The target system for verification of this method is a web-based banking system which is necessary to be secured and critical on errors. This method would be an important factor in automatizing test procedure for web-based application software systems combining the user-base test technique.

  • In this paper, we propose a method to search the evidence such as a knife found in the crime scene based on GHT from an image database Such objects like knives are simitar in shape. The proposed method utilizes the small shape differences among objects as much as possible to distinguish an object from similar shaped objects. It consists of the GHT based candidate generation and top-down candidate verification. For the fast generation of the candidate 1ist, the GHT operation is performed un the down sampled edge list. The test results show that it can retrieve the correct object even with a pan of object in reasonable time.

  • This paper describes the development of the intelligent gripper with two 3-axis force sensor that can measure forces Fx, Fy, Fz simultaneously, for stably grasping an unknown object. In order to grasp an unknown object using an intelligent gripper softly, it should measure the force in the gripping direction and the force in the gravity direction, and perform the force control using the measured farces. Thus, the intelligent gripper should be composed of 3-axis force sensor that can measure forces Fx, Fy, Fz at the same time. In this paper, the intelligent gripper with two 3-axis force sensor was manufactured and its characteristic test was carried out. The fabricated gripper could grasp an unknown object stably. Also, the sensing element of 3-axis force sensor was modeled and designed with five parallel-plate beams, and 3-axis force sensor for the intelligent gripper was fabricated. The characteristic test of the made sensor was carried out.

  • The paper presents the EBORD (Extended Benchmark for Object-Relational Databases) benchmark, which is an extension of the BORD benchmark for object-relational databases. The EBORD benchmark is developed to evaluate the database common functions that should be supported in modern database systems. Besides the 36 test queries already defined in the BORD benchmark, totally 22 test queries in five categories are newly defined in order to measure the index-relevant performance issues and database import capabilities. The EBORD benchmark also features scalability, use of a synthesized database, and a query-oriented evaluation. In order to show the feasibility of the proposed benchmark, we implement it with two commercial database systems. The experimental results and analyses are also reported.

  • PURPOSES : This study has been performed with the objective to determine threshold zone luminance of adaptation luminance by target safety level in a vehicular traffic tunnel with design speed set at 100km/h. METHODS : The study made a miniature capable of portraying changes in luminance distribution within $2{\times}10^{\circ}$ conical field of view of the driver approaching to the tunnel for the test. Test conditions were set based on justifications for CIE 88-1990's threshold zone luminance used as a reference by domestic tunnel light standards (KS C 3703 : 2010). Luminance contrast of object background and object is 23%, object presentation duration is 0.5 seconds, and size of the object background is $7.3{\times}11.5m^2$ RESULTS : Threshold zone luminance was set within adaptation luminance of $100{\sim}3,000cd/m^2$. Adaptation luminance and threshold zone luminance based on 50%, 75% and 90% target safety level all showed a relatively high linear relationship. According to findings in the study, it is not appropriate to specify the relationship between adaptation luminance and threshold zone luminance as luminance ratio. Rather, direct utilization of the linear relationship gained from the study findings appears to be the better solution. CONCLUSIONS : Findings of this study may be used to determine operation of threshold zone luminance based on target safety level. However, a proper verification and validity of test results are required. Furthermore, a study to determine proper threshold zone luminance level considering target safety level reviewed in this study and various decision-making factors such as economic conditions in Korea and energy-related policies should be carried out in addition. Additional tests on adaptation luminance greater than $3,000cd/m^2$ will be performed, through which application scope of the test findings will be broadened.

  • The representation of a procedural program cannot be applied directly to object oriented program representation consisting of class, object, inheritance, and dynamic binding. Furthermore, preexisting program dependence represented the dependence among statements, but not among variables. That is, it could not solve the problem of which variables make an effect on given variables. Consequently, this study presents the method dependence model representing implementation level information including the dependence among variables in an object oriented program. I also propose implementation-based class testing technique based on the test adequacy criterion of an object-oriented program. Considering inter-data member dependences and a set of axioms for test data adequacy, it generates sequences of methods as test cases which satisfy a flow graph-based testing criterion. For a derived class testing, it considers inheritance relationship and the resuability of the testing information for its parent classes which verified the reduction of test cost through the experiment.
