This paper proposes a new test generation method. Most of the test generation methods are gate-level based, but our scheme is VHDL based, especially in other word, behavioral-level based. Our test pattern generation method uses software test method. And we generate deterministic test pattern with this method. The purpose of our method is to reduce the time and effort to generate the test patterns for the end-product test of IC.
Regression testing is a very costly process performed primarily as a software maintenance activity. It is the process of retesting the modified parts of the software and ensuring that no new errors have been introduced into previously tested source code due to these modifications. A regression test selection technique selects an appropriate number of test cases from a test suite that might expose a fault in the modified program. In this paper, we propose both a regression test selection and prioritization technique. We implemented our regression test selection technique and demonstrated in two case studies that our technique is effective regarding selecting and prioritizing test cases. The results show that our technique may significantly reduce the number of test cases and thus the cost and resources for performing regression testing on modified software.
In this paper, we formulate multivariate one-sided alternatives and propose a class of nonparametric tests for possibly right censored data. We obtain the asymptotic tail probability (or p-value) by showing that our proposed test statistics have asymptotically multivariate normal distributions. Also, we illustrate our procedure with an example and compare it with other procedures in terms of empirical powers for the bivariate case. Finally, we discuss some properties of our test.
In this thesis, a new test statistic is proposed for testing exponentiality against New Better than Used (NBU) alternatives. Our test statistic, which is based on a quadratic function of the order statistics from the sample, is readily applied in the case of small sample. Also, Our test statistic is more simple than the test statistic of Hollander and Proschan(1972).
The influent COD of municipal wastewater has been divided into 4 fractions; readily soluble biodegradable, slowly particulate biodegradable, soluble and particulate unbiodegradable COD. The mathematical modeling of biological wastewater treatment processes and the design and operation of nutrient removal plants require a reliable and accurate estimate of the composition of influent wastewater COD. COD utilization rate is proportional to the oxygen uptake rate(OUR), so a batch biodegradation test with OUR measurement has been effectively used for the determination of COD fractionation. But the mathematical model of COD utilization and heterotrophs synthesis is essential to interpret the OUR measurement. Mamais method is another method for determining readily biodegradable soluble COD. Like the OUR test method, batch biodegradation test is necessary but it does not require mathematical model. These two methods for determining COD fractionation are introduced here in detail. Experimental results showed that COD composition by Mamais method is not different to that by OUR test method so, either of them can be used.
Objectives : This study was conducted to propose a new transmission/disequilibrium test(TDT) to test the linkage between genetic markers and disease-susceptibility genes based on haplotypes. Simulation studies were performed to compare the proposed method with that of Zhao et al. in terms of type I error probability and powers. Methods : We estimated the haplotype frequencies using the expectation-maximization(EM) algorithm with parents genotypes taken from a trio dataset, and then constructed a two-way contingency table containing estimated frequencies to all possible pairs of parents haplotypes. We proposed a score test based on differences between column marginals and their corresponding row marginals. The test also involved a covariance structure of marginal differences and their variances. In simulation, we considered a coalescent model with three genetic markers of biallele to investigate the performance of the proposed test under six different configurations. Results : The haplotype-based TDT statistics, our test and Zhao et al.'s test satisfied a type I error probability, but the TDT test based on single locus showed a conservative trend. As expected, the tests based on haplotypes also had better powers than those based on single locus. Our test and that of Zhao et al. were comparable in powers. Conclusion : We proposed a TDT statistic based on haplotypes and showed through simulations that our test was more powerful than the single locus-based test. We will extend our method to multiplex data with affected and/or unaffected sibling(s) or simplex data having only one parent s genotype.

A simple nonparametric test of complete or total independence is suggested for continuous multivariate distributions. This procedure first discretizes the original variables based on their order statistics, and then tests the hypothesis of complete independence for the resulting contingency table. Under the hypothesis of independence, the chi-squared test statistic has an asymptotic chi-squared distribution. We present a simulation study to illustrate the accuracy in finite samples of the limiting distribution of the test statistic. We compare our method to another nonparametric test of complete independence via a simulation study. Finally, we apply our method to the residuals from a real data set.
A survival variable is a non-negative random variable X with distribution function F(t) satisfying F(0) : 0 and a survival function F(t): 1-F(t). This variable is said to be New Better than Used of specified age t$_{0}$ if F(x+ t$_{0}$)$\leq$F(x).F(t$_{0}$) for all x$\geq$0 and a fixed t$_{0}$. We propose the test for H$_{0}$ : F(x+t$_{0}$)=F(x).F(t$_{0}$) for all x$\geq$0 against H$_1$: F(x+t$_{0}$) $\leq$ F(x).F(t$_{0}$) for all x$\geq$0 when the specified age to is unknown but can be estimated from the data when t$_{0}$=ζ$_{p}$, the pth percentile of F. This test statistic, which is based on the normalized spacings between the ordered observations, is readily applied in the case of small sample. Also, our test is more simple than Ahmad's test (1998). Finally, the performance of our test is presented.our test is presented.

Li and Mak (1994) developed a test statistic for detecting the non-linearity and the heteroscedasticity of the time series data. But it is well known that the test statistic may be very sensitive in case of heavy-tailed distributions of the errors. Jiang et al.(2001) suggested the robust method for ARCH models but the calculation procedures for the estimation are very complicated. We suggested the robust method based on Huber's function and our method works quite well rater than the Li and Mak(1994). Also our method is relatively easy to calculate the test statistic.
