  • To investigate the effect of a shaded apodizer on the read-out signal in an optical disc system, we consider the is apodizer in which the amplitude transmittance decreases gradually from the center of pupil toward its edge and the iH apodizer in which the amplitude transmittance increases gradually from the center of pupil toward its edge, using the scalar diffraction theory. We also consider the bump shapes which are a cylindric, a semi-conic, and a conic bump, and bump height which is given by $\lambda/4$ and occurs to the phase change $(\pi)$). The read-out signal of is apodizer increases from S = 0 upto maximum value, and then decreases for increasingly larger values of bOo While the iH apodizer has two maximum values. When an optical disc system has a spherical aberration $(W_{40}=0.5\lambda)$, the maximum read-OUt signal of is apodizer is higher than that of iv apodizer which has no apodizer.odizer.

  • Purpose: The survival of bone marrow derived stem cell was reported several times. But the survival of adipose tissue derived stem cells(hASCs) was not mentioned on. We studied the adipose tissue derived stem cell's survival and effect on articular cartilage in rabbits. Methods: Osteoarthritis was induced in twenty New Zealand white rabbits by intraarticular injection of monosodium iodoacetate(MIA). After four weeks, hASCs were also injected into the knee joints space without any vehicle, but the control group received phosphate buffered saline only. The histologic grade of articular cartilage was measured in 4 and 8 weeks after the transplantation of hASC and the viability of injected stem cells measured by Fluorescent in situ Hybridization (FISH) examination. Results: After 4 and 8 weeks from hASCs transplantation, histologic grade was not significantly difference between two groups(p>0.05), and the Y chromosome of the transplanted hASCs was not detected in articular cartilage. Conclusion: We found that direct injection of hASC in joint space didn't work on damaged articular cartilage repair.

  • This study intended to find out the most substantial items in cold and heat pattern identification(CHPI) questionnaire based on usual symptoms through CHPI diagnosis and evaluation by experts. 120 participants, faculties of OO university, filled out CHPI questionnaire based on usual symptoms by the way of self-reporting. Then 2 Korean Medicine doctors independently diagnosed them whether they belonged to cold pattern identification(PI) or heat PI, and scored the result of it. Pearson correlation of 2 experts was 0.649 in cold PI and 0.605 in heat PI. Agreement was 75.8%(Kappa value 0.516) in cold PI and 74.2%(Kappa value 0.465) in heat PI. Pearson correlation of 2 experts was 0.649 in cold PI and 0.605 in heat PI. Agreement between two experts was 75.8%(Kappa value 0.516) in cold PI and 74.2%(Kappa value 0.465) in heat PI. Items of high correlation with experts' evaluation followed next: "do not usually like the cold", "usually like the warm", "usually feel cold" in cold PI and "do not usually like the hot", "usually feel hot", "usually feel burning sensation in the body" in heat PI. We could infer from that facts that experts give weight on 'subjective feeling of cold or heat in participants body' and 'preference on sensation of cold and heat'. We also expect this study to be an epidemiological foundation to disclose correlation between usual CHPI and diseases.

  • One of the computer application fields which started showing noticeable new growth trends in recent years is the real time communication distributed computing application field. Object -oriented(OO) real time(RT) distributed computing is a form of real-time distributed computing realized with a distributed computer system structured in the form of an object network. In this paper, we describes the application environment as the DHS (distributed high-precision simulation) with TMO structure. The TMO scheme is aimed for enabling a great reduction of the designer's effort in guaranteeing timely service capabilities of distributed computing application systems. It has been formulated from the beginning with the objective of enabling design-time guaranteeing of timely action. In the real time simulation techniques based on TMO object modeling, we have observed several advantages to the TMO structuring scheme. TMO object modeling has a strong traceability between requirement specification and design, cost-effective high-coverage validation, autonomous subsystems, easy maintenance and flexible framework for requirement specification.
