Purpose: This study is a descriptive study to analyze the relationship between the cognitive function, body image and pain, and the influencing factors on the daily life performance of brain injured patients. Methods: The study subjects were 119 inpatients with brain injury who gave informed consent. The activities of daily living (ADLs), cognitive function, pain and body image were measured by Modified Barthel Index (K-MBI), K-MMSE (Mini-Mental State Examination), Visual Analog Scale (VAS), Semantic Differential Method (SDM), respectively. Results: ADLs was significantly associated with body image, cognitive function, and pain. Multiple regression analysis showed that paralysis, consciousness, cognitive function, and pain were significant factors influencing ADLs. Overall, approximately 48% of total variability in the ADLs could be explained by the 4 variables ($R^2=.477$, p<.001). Conclusion: To improve ADLs of brain injury patients, a deeper understanding of paralysis, consciousness, cognitive function, and pain of patients is required and active nursing invention should be conducted.

During the month of June 2019, data were collected using a structured questionnaire survey of 252 undergraduate nursing students at universities A and Y cities. Collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression using SPSS 20.0. Factors affecting interpersonal relationship were 12% in terms of physical image, health orientation, and health assessment. The main factors affecting interpersonal relationships were health evaluation, health orientation and appearance evaluation. Therefore, in order to improve nursing relationships among nursing college students, it is necessary to develop and apply various intervention programs to positively evaluate their health and appearance and to lead a health-oriented life.
Purpose: This study was to investigate the degree of body image, self esteem and quality of life, to identify general and disease of characteristics on influencing this factors with the intention of providing basal data for developing nursing intervention to promote body image, self esteem and quality of life. Method: Subjects of this study were 91 grown-up congenital heart patients over 18 years in 2 tertiary hospitals. The data on body image, self esteem and quality of life were collected through questionnaire from March to April 2004. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, Pearson's correlation, ANOVA and tukey test using SAS for Windows 8.1 program. Result: 1) The mean scores of body image, self esteem and quality of life were 63.01, 25.29 and 496.79. 2) Body image was correlated with age(p=.0239), educational level(p=.0182), diagnosis(p=.0066), number of operation(p=.0148), cyanosis(p<.0001), complication(p=.0096) and NYHA level(p=.0378). 3) Self esteem was correlated with education level(p=.0026), economic level(p=.0240), number of operation(p=.0113) and cyanosis (p=.0006). 4) Quality of life was correlated with age(p=.0432) and diagnosis(p=.0020), number of operation (p=.0063), duration of last operation(p=.0225), cyanosis(p<.0001), complication(p=.0090) and NYHA level(p<.0001). 5) There was significantly positive relationship between body image, self esteem and quality of life. Subjects with more positive body image had higher self esteem(r=.7897, p<.05) and subjects with higher self esteem had higher quality of life(r=.6091, p<.05).

The nurses' image, professional self-concept, and organizational commitment of nursing students showed an average of 4.01, 3.40, and 3.77 points, respectively, based on a five-point scale. There was a statistically significant positive correlation between the nurses' image, professional self-concept and organizational commitment. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore relationship among pain, body image and satisfaction in hand-injured workers. Methods: Using a sample of 96 out-patient workers with hand injuries, pain, body image and satisfaction were measured by VAS and Modified Jung Keum-hee's Tennesee Self Concept Scale. Result: Functional satisfaction(r=.46, p<.001) and appearance satisfaction(r=.55, p<.001) significantly increased by treatment satisfaction. Functional satisfaction(r=.35, p=.001) and appearance satisfaction(r=.31, p=.002) increased by body image. But treatment satisfaction(r=-.20, p=.049), functional satisfaction (r=-.34, p=.001) and appearance satisfaction (r=-.39, p<.001) significantly decreased by pain. Conclusion: Poor pain management was related to bad body image and treatment satisfaction. Therefore, interventions targeting at pain management are needed for hand-injured workers.
