간호사의 에니어그램 성격유형별 간호전문직 태도와 직무만족 (Enneagram Personality Types, Nursing Professional Attitudes and Job Satisfaction of the Nurses)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to examine the enneagram personality types, nursing professional attitudes and job satisfaction of the nurses. Method: The subjects for this study were 93 nurses who did the enneagram workshop. Demographic characteristics, enneagram personality types, nursing professional attitudes and job satisfaction were measured. The data were analyzed through the SPSS 10.0 window program by were of frequency, percentage, t-test, ANOVA. Result : The highest of nurses' enneagram personality types was type 6 and type 5 and 8 were not existed. The triad of enneagram was consist of head type 40.9%, heart type 39.8%, gut type 19.3% orderly. Nursing professional attitudes and job satisfaction of nurses were positive. Nursing professional attitudes in type 2 were the highest but in type 9 were the lowest. also job satisfaction in type 1 were the highest but in type 2 were the lowest. But statistically nursing professional attitudes and job satisfaction no significant difference according to types of nurses' enneagram. Conclusion : According to the above findings, enneagram will utilize not only instrument for investigation of nurses' personality types but also human resource management program for understanding of nurses. And suggest that the further research is need to identify more variables related to the types of nurses' enneagram for enneagram' utility in nursing organization.

  • Purpose: This study was to identify affecting factors on job satisfaction, nursing professional attitudes of new nurses according to transformational leadership of preceptors. Method: The subjects were 101 new nurses who were working for the 4 of university hospitals in Seoul, Daejeon and Kyong Ki. This study was conducted from Aug to Oct 2005. The data was collected by questionnaires and were analyzed using descriptive statistics, pearson correlation coefficient, stepwise multiple regression. Result: Transformational leadership of preceptors were significantly correlated between Job satisfaction, nursing professional attitudes of the new nurses. The stepwise multiple regression analysis for job satisfaction, nursing professional attitudes revealed that the most powerful predictor was charisma. Conclusion: The findings indicated that the transformational leadership of preceptors is important for improving job satisfaction, nursing professional attitudes of the new nurses. Therefore it may be necessary further to develop of the leadership training program for effective preceptorship.

임상 간호사의 간호전문직 태도와 정신건강에 관한 연구 (A Study of Professional Attitudes and Mental Health of Clinical Nurses)

  • This study was made to analyse the nursing professional attitudes and mental health of clinical nurses in order to promote good mental health and positive attitudes. The 150 subjects obtained from 3 hospitals in Seoul completed a self-report questionnaire. Demographic data was collected in addition to data about nursing professional attitudes and mental health. The data was analyzed by SAS, t-test, scheffe's test, pearson's correlation and the GLM procedures. The results of the data analysis as follows : 1) Nursing professional attitudes were positive (MS=3.76) 2) Mental health was shown to be satisfactory (MS=0.65) 3) The relationship between nursing professional attitudes and mental health of the subjects were shown to be significant according to the professional education level with depression(r=-0.19, p=0.03/sup */), anxiety(r=-0.23, p=0.01/sup **/), hostility(r= -0.19, p=0.03/sup */), phobicanxiety(r=-0.18, p=0.04/sup */), but there was a significant difference according to the pursit of social profit with anxiety(r=-0.17, p=0.03/sup */). There was a significant difference according to autonomy with somatization(r=-0.23, p=0.01/sup **/), obsessive-compulsive(r=-0.22, p=0.01/sup **/), depression(r=-0.20, p=0.02/sup */), anxiety(r=-0.17, p=0.05/sup */). Finally, There was a significant difference according to ethics with hostility(r=-0.17, p=0.05/sup */). 4) According to nursing professional attitudes and demographic fators there was a significant difference in the professional position(t=2.01, p=0.05/sup */), work location(f=4.99, p=0.01/sup **/), length of employment (f=3.66, p=0.03/sup **/). 5) The nursing professional attitudes and occupational factors showed a positive correlation with the anticipation of length of employment (t=2.00, p=0.05/sup */). 6) According to Mental health and dmographic factors there was a significant correlation with the professional position(t=-2.21, p=0.03/sup */). 7) According to mental health and occupational factors there was a significant difference correlation. Based on the study results, the following recommendation are made : 1) Nursing education curriculum should be developed for the continuous promotion of mental of professional nurses. 2) Follow up study of identification of the variables which positively influence professional nurses attitudes.

간호학 교수들의 간호전문직에 대한 태도 조사연구 (Attitudes of Nursing Educators Toward Percussional Nursing)

  • This study of nurse educator's attitudes which found aspects of professional nursing was carried out from September 10 to 30, 1977. Subjects were 205 respondents from a total population of 314 nurse educators from the level of instructors to professors in all the diploma (post high school 3 year), professional junior college (3 year level) and university (4 year) nursing schools in Korea. Specific objectives were to determine their attitudes about the 1. social position of nursing as a profession, 2. nurses attitudes towards their word, 3. factors influencing the development of nursing, 4. the future of nursing, 5. nursing educational problems, 6. their own educational position's intrinsic job satisfaction and 7. their salary and benefits. The instrument used was a questionnaire developed from consultations with nursing educators and sociologists, and based on earlier. worts by Burke (1976), Mason (1974) and Hong 1969. Data were analysis by computer using one-way analysis. Statistically significant findings included the following; 1. Responses were positive toward all seven aspects of professional nursing. 2. Compared to diploma nursing school staff whose responses were positive, professional and university school faculty response toward the social position of nursing were neutral. 3. Faculty with clinical experience of 10 to 19 years were most positive in their responses about nurses' attitudes towards their work. In all three types of schools, in comparison to professors, associate professors' responses were more positive about nurses' attitudes toward their work. Faculty with longer clinical experience expressed high agreement with statements about factors which influence the development of nursing. Without any differences between school, all faculty had positive attitudes towards the future of nursing, the younger the staff member, the more positive were the responses. 4. faculty in diploma schools and those with 10 to 19 years clinical experience expressed high agreement with statement about nursing educational problems, 6. their own educational position's intrinsic job satisfaction and 7. their salary and benefits. 일 대학 간호학생의 기본간호학 실습교육 인식에 따른 실습교육 전 후 간호가치관과 간호전문직 태도에 관한 연구 (Changes in Nursing Values and Nursing Professional Attitudes after Practical Education Based Fundamental Nursing Practice Education)

  • Purpose: This study was to examine nursing values and attitudes toward nursing professions after fundamental nursing practice education. Method: The participants were 166 first-year students. Values and professional attitude were measured. Results: Nursing values increased to 4.49(${\pm}.42$) after 1st semester and 4.64(${\pm}.35$) after 2nd semester from 4.32(${\pm}.47$) before the education(t=7.71, p= .000). Nursing professional attitude also increased to 3.95(${\pm}.49$) after 1st semester and 4.20(${\pm}.45$) after 2nd semester(t=9.1, p= .000). While voluntary applicants have showed a significant difference in nursing values since they started college education(t=3.34, p=.001), partially voluntarily applicants showed after finishing the 1st semester(t=-3.02, p=.002). Regarding nursing professional attitude of voluntary applicants, there was a significant difference between starting college education(t=2.35, p=.020) and finishing the 1st semester(t=-2.66, p= .008). Interest in fundamental nursing practice had a significant correlation with satisfaction(r=.301, p=.000) and nursing values(r=.163, p=.035). Nursing values had a significant correlation with nursing professional attitude(r=.590, p=.000). Conclusion: The fundamental nursing practice is effective in changing nursing values and nursing professional attitude in students taking the course.

보건의료학생의 신체적 장애학생에 대한 태도에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Affecting Attitudes of Health Care Professional Students toward Physically Disabled Students)

  • Purpose: This study investigated the factors affecting the attitudes of health care professional students toward physically disabled students. Method: The data was collected from 415 health care professional students in one university using a structured questionnaire. The data was analyzed using descriptive analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and stepwise multiple regression by SPSS 12.0. Results: The mean score for attitude was 3.49(SD=.27). There were significant differences in the mean score for attitude according to gender, major, family with disability, having social interactions and meeting as a clinical case. The attitudes of health care professional students correlated to the gender and having social interactions $(R^2=38%)$. Conclusion: This study revealed that intimate contact is the most effective factor for health care professional students to have a positive attitude toward students with physical disabilities.

일부지역 간호사의 간호전문직에 대한 태도 조사 연구 (A Study on Attitude of Clinical Nurses Toward Professional Nursing)

  • As society has changed, the demand for improved health care has increased. To keep up with this type of social need, professional nursing care is seeking to efficiently satisfy the care needs of human beings. The goal of clinical nurse is to meet nursing care needs of patients. This study was designed to survey attitudes of nursing profession of clinical nurses. The following specific 5 objectives were investigated and the attitudes of clinical nurses were determined. 1. The social position of nursing as a profession. 2. Factors influencing the development of nursing. 3. The future of nursing. 4. Their work. 5. Job satisfaction. The subjects consisted of 120 nurses who are working at 5 general hospital over 150 beds Ill CHONG NAM. The nurses were surveyed by means of a questionnaire from May 24 to Jun 15, 1992. The tool used for this study was based on earlier work by Lee, Nam Hi(1978) and Kim, Myong Hee(1984). Computer was used for Data Analysis. Frequency and Percentage were used to examine the genera] characteristics of the subjects. ANOV A and t.test were used to test the relation in characteristics of the subjects and attitudes Loward nursing prfession. The finding of this study were as follows; 1. Social position of nursing as a profession; The response with the highest agreement was "The professional nursing organization is less power. ful than the other professional organization" 3.333 points, and the response with the lowest agreement was "Nursing get a big salary" 2.225 points. 2. Factors influencing the development of nursing; the response with the highest agreement was "Hospital environment should be improved" 4.267 points, and the response with the lowest agreement was "Nurses satisfaction with salary"2.175 points. 3. The future of nursing; the response with the highest agreement was "Along the deveiopmem of science technique will be elevated educational state and graduate to needed in nursing" 3.958 points, and showed generally positive response toward the future of nursing. 4. Their work; the response with the highest agreement was "Work loading due to nursing staff insufficient" 4. 308 points, the response with the lowest agreement was "Nurses are unkind to patient" 2.508 points. 5. The subject's view regarding job satisfaction;it showed that "Interpersonal nursing staffs" 3.508 points, showed generally unsatisfactory response toward job satisfaction. 6. The relationship between the subject's attitudes toward professional nursing and general characteristics showed a significant difference statistically in regard to the field of work(P<.05). 7. The relationship between general characteristics and the subject's attitudes toward factors influencing the development of nursing showed a significant difference statistically in regard to the age and the status of position(P<.05). The subject's attitude toward the future of nursing showed a significant difference statistically in regard to the age and the period of nursing career and the field of work(P<.05, P<.005). The subject's attitude toward the job satisfaction showed a significant difference statistically in regard to the age and the period of nursing career and the status of position and the field of work(P<.005).

간호사의 직무만족도와 피로가 간호전문직 태도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Nurses' Job Satisfaction and Fatigue on Nursing Professional Attitude)

  • 본 연구는 간호사를 대상으로 직무만족도와 피로가 간호전문직 태도에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 대상자는 5개 종합병원에서 근무하는 간호사 262명이었다. 자료수집은 2014년 12월부터 2015년 1월까지 직무만족도, 피로, 간호전문직 태도에 대해 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 측정하였다. 연구의 결과, 간호사의 간호전문직 태도는 30세 이상, 기혼인 경우가 높았으며, 임상경력이 1년 미만이거나 6년 이상인 경우, 책임 및 수간호사가 일반간호사보다 간호전문직 태도가 높았다. 간호전문직 태도에 가장 큰 영향을 준 요인은 직무만족도였으며, 그 다음으로 임상경력, 피로의 순이었다. 본 연구결과는 간호전문직 태도에 영향을 주는 요인으로서 직무만족도와 피로의 중요성을 설명하는 이론적 근거를 제공하였다. 실무에서는 간호사의 직무만족도, 임상경력과 피로 정도를 고려하여 간호전문직 태도를 향상시킬 수 있도록 교육프로그램을 개발, 적용하는 것이 필요하다.

남자 간호 대학생의 직업 가치관에 대한 주관적 구조 (Study on Male Nursing College Students' Subjectivity in Their Attitude toward Jobs)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore the structure and characteristics of male college nursing students' personality-based career attitudes. Method: The Q-methodology was used to identify factors in male nursing students' personality-based career attitudes. A Q sample was collected from literature reviews (Kim & Kim, 2005). The subjects consisted of 30 male nursing students. Result: The results of the study show that male nursing students can be categorized into four types. The five factors extracted all had eigen values greater than 1.0 and explained approximately 50.84% of the variation in responses (32.62, 7.59, 5.70 and 4.93% respectively). The categories were labeled 'Repair intention style', 'Belief intention style', 'Stability intention style', and 'Self-regulation intention style'. Conclusion: Through a process that analyzes subjective structure, male nursing students' personality based career attitudes create occupational consciousness, professional accomplishment and professional ethics as a nursing profession. Content of curriculum and development of a reasonable and realistic course consultation program should be done.

여자 간호대학생의 친밀한 신체간호에 대한 인식 (Subjectivity of Female Nursing Student Providing Intimate Care to Patient)

  • Nursing students are often embarrassed about offering an intimate care to patients in a clinical environment, and experience stress. In particular, nursing students is often a low level of interaction skill and nursing school has no education program for this intimate care. Therefore, these difficulties are increased while the clinical practice. The purpose of this study was to identify the attitude of female nursing students regarding intimate care to patient and the characteristics of the type by applying Q-methodology, and to create the basic data for the development of education programs for nursing student to prevent stress and embarrassed feeling. Data were collected by applying 35 Q statements to 32 female nursing students. Collected data were analyzed with the PC QUANL program. Results indicate that female nursing students' attitudes of intimate care were divided into four types: 'considering situation-professional obligation type' 'gender related risk avoidance type' 'transcendent professional care type' and 'pursuit of the ideal professional type.' The types of female nursing students' attitudes of intimate care to patient were discussed, focusing on the attitude type identified in this study.
