A dynamics study of relaxation and fragmentation of icosahedral argon cluster with a vibrationally excited $Ar_2^+$ (${\nu}$) is presented. Local translation is shown to be responsible for inducing energy flow from the embedded ion to host atoms and fragmentation of the cluster consisting of various low frequency modes. The total potential energy of $(Ar_2^+)Ar_{12}$ is formulated using a building-up procedure of host-guest and host-host interactions. The time dependence of ion-to-host energy transfer is found to be tri-exponential, with the short-time process of ~100 ps contributing most to the overall relaxation process. Relaxation timescales are weakly dependent on both temperature (50-300 K) and initial vibrational excitation (${\nu}$ = 1-4). Nearly 27% of host atoms in the cluster with $Ar_2^+$ (${\nu}$ = 1) fragment immediately after energy flow, the extent increasing to ~43% for ${\nu}$ = 4. The distribution of fragmentation products of $(Ar_2^+)Ar_{12}{\rightarrow}(Ar_2^+)Ar_n+(12-n)Ar$ are peaked around $(Ar_2^+)Ar_8$. The distribution of dissociation times reveals fragmentation from one hemisphere dominates that from the other. This effect is attributed to the initial fragmentation causing a sequential perturbation of adjacent atoms on the same icosahedral five-atom layer.

The objective of this study was to examine numerically the heat transfer and flow characteristics of the heat pipe with a wick using the simplified heat transfer model to enhance the cooling effects of high heat flux devices and minimizing the energy consumption for electric vehicles. The heat pipe with a wick was analyzed using commercial software with COMSOL and water was used as the working fluid. The velocity and temperature characteristics of the heat pipe were simulated numerically along the heat pipe and the local and average Nusselt numbers were calculated. As a result, the driving force occurred because of the temperature difference between the hot side and the cold side. The heat transfer of the heat pipe occurred from the hot side to the cold side and increased toward the center position. In addition, the average Nusselt numbers were 1.88 for the hot side and 0.1 for the cold side, and the maximum Nusselt number was 4.47 for the hot side and 0.7 for the cold side.

NuDE 2.0 (Nuclear Development Environment 2.0) is a formal-method-based software development, verification and safety analysis environment for safety-critical digital I&Cs implemented with programmable logic controller (PLC) and field-programmable gate array (FPGA). It simultaneously develops PLC/FPGA software implementations from one requirement/design specification and also helps most of the development, verification, and safety analysis to be performed mechanically and in sequence. The NuDE 2.0 now consists of 25 CASE tools and also includes an in-depth solution for indirect commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software dedication of new FPGA-based digital I&Cs. We expect that the NuDE 2.0 will be widely used as a means of diversifying software design/implementation and model-based software development methodology.
Consider a specific class of scalar-valued reaction diffusion equations of the form $$ (1.1) u_t = \nu\Delta u + f(u), u \in R $$ where $\nu$ < 0 is viscosity parameter and $f : R \to R$ is sufficiently smooth.
For a polynomial $P(z)={\sum_{{\nu}=0}^{n}}\;a_{\nu}z^{\nu}$ of degree n having all its zeros in |z| ≤ k, k ≥ 1, it was shown by Rather and Dar [13] that ${\max_{{\mid}z{\mid}=1}}{\mid}P^{\prime}(z){\mid}{\geq}{\frac{1}{1+k^n}}\(n+{\frac{k^n{\mid}a_n{\mid}-{\mid}a_0{\mid}}{k^n{\mid}a_n{\mid}+{\mid}a_0{\mid}}}\){\max_{{\mid}z{\mid}=1}}{\mid}P(z){\mid}$. In this paper, we shall obtain some sharp estimates, which not only refine the above inequality but also generalize some well known Turán-type inequalities.
Let n be a fixed positive integer, R be a 2n!-torsion free prime ring and $\mu$, $\nu$ be a pair of generalized derivations on R. If < $\mu^2(x)+\nu(x),\;x^n$ > = 0 for all x $\in$ R, then $\mu$ and $\nu$ are either left multipliers or right multipliers. Let n be a fixed positive integer, R be a noncommutative 2n!-torsion free prime ring with the center $C_R$ and d, g be a pair of derivations on R. If < $d^2(x)+g(x)$, $x^n$ > $\in$$C_R$ for all x $\in$ R, then d = g = 0. Then we apply these purely algebraic techniques to obtain several range inclusion results of pair of (generalized-)derivations on a Banach algebra.
The apparent and partial molal volumes({\phi}\nu$and $V^{\circ}$) of a series of homologous n-alkylamine hydrochlorides $C_nH_{2n+1}NH_3^+Cl^-$, where n varies from zero to four, have been determined by means of a float method at 30$^{\circ}C$ to the fifth decimal place down to 0.01M in aqueous solutions. The experimental results indicate that the partial molal volumes of the salts are almost additive for successive homologues depending on the increment of molecular weight ($CH_2$). It has been observed that the concentration dependence of the ${\Phi}v$ are linear in general and limiting slopes are positive and relatively close to the theoretical values. Anionic partial molal volume of chlorides anion $V^{\circ}_{Cl^-}$ is found to be 18.6 ml $mole^{-1}$, which is in good agreement with the results of other workers. {\phi}\nu$ data also show that in solution the hydrophobic effect of ions are in competition with the charge effect, but the latter, that is, electrostriction seemed to be considerably predominant.

While many studies on the heat transfer effect of an impinging jet have been published, most studies focus on the downward impinging jet. This study investigates the impinging jet heat transfer phenomenon when water at a temperature of $24^{\circ}C$ impinges on the downward isothermal circular plate at 60, 70, and $80^{\circ}C$ and when the upward round jet nozzle is 4, 6, and 8 mm diameter with a flow rate 3.6, 4.6, and 5.6 L/min, respectively, and when the ratio of the nozzle clearance/nozzle diameter (H/D) is 1. The results showed that, as the nozzle diameter decreases, the heat transfer coefficient increases at a constant flow rate. The correlation equation of $Nu_r$, $Pr_r$, and $Re_{jg}$ is obtained in the impinging and constant velocity flow region $(Nu_r/Pr^{0.4}_r)Dr=4.6[Re_{jg}(r/R_c)Dr]^{0.8}$ at all flow rates, in the deceleration and falling flow regions $(Nu_r/Pr^{0.4}_r)Dr=42.7{\mid}Re_{jg}(r/R_c)Dr-345.7{\mid}^{0.3}$ at 3.6 L/min, $(Nu_r/Pr^{0.4}_r)Dr=92.4{\mid}Re_{jg}(r/R_c)Dr-16.8{\mid}^{0.2}$ at 4.6 L/min, and $(Nu_r/Pr^{0.4}_r)Dr=322.4{\mid}Re_{jg}(r/R_c)Dr-536.2{\mid}^{0.01}$ at 5.6 L/min.
Epithelial ovarian cancer represents the most lethal gynecological cancer, and the high mortality rate makes this malignancy a major health concern. Poor prognosis results from an inability to detect ovarian cancers at an early, curable stage, as well as from the lack of an effective therapy. Thus, effective and novel strategies for prevention and treatment with non-toxic agents merit serious consideration. Resveratrol, obtained from grapes, berries, peanuts and red wine, has been shown to have a potent growth-inhibitory effect against various human cancer cells as well as in in vivo preclinical cancer models. The objective here was to evaluate potential antitumor effects of resveratrol in both in vitro and in vivo NuTu-19 ovarian cancer models. In vitro an invasion assay was performed. After 48 h, the numbers of viable cells that invaded the extracellular matrix layer were reduced by 94% with resveratrol in comparison to control. For the in vivo anti-tumor assessment, 10 rats were injected with NuTu-19 cells into the ovarian bursa. Thereafter, half were provided with a diet mixed with a dose of 100 mg resveratrol/kg body weight/day for 28 days. Following sacrifice, anticancer effects were assessed by histological evaluation of ovarian as well as surrounding tissues, and immunohistochemical detection of cell proliferation and apoptosis, but there were no observable differences between the control and resveratrol-treated groups for any of the biological endpoints. While resveratrol is effective in suppressing the in vitro cellular invasion of NuTu-19 ovarian cancer cells, these effects do not appear to impact on in vivo NuTu-19 ovarian cancers in rats.

This study was conducted to examine the differences between dynamic and static elastic constants by use of some laboratory tests of cement mortar specimens which have different water/cement mixing ratios. Specific gravity measurement, ultrasonic velocity estimating and uniaxial compression test were adopted to acquire the dynamic and static elastic constants. Digital data acquisition and processing enhanced the accuracy of estimating the velocities of specimens drastically, Also, the method using the gradient of propagation delay time in according to increment of specimen length more enhanced the accuracy than the method using the only one specimen length over total propagation time. The correlation between density and the P and S wave velocity of specimens shows reliable positive relation and the correlation between density and the strength of uniaxial compression has the similar relationship. The dynamic Young's modulus $(E_D)$ is alway greater than the static Young's modulus $(E_S)$ and there is increasing tendency of the ratio $(E_D/E_S)$ according to the increase of density or strength of the specimens. On the other hand, there is no typical relationship between dynamic Poisson's ratio $({\nu}_D)$ and static Poisson's ratio $({\nu}_S)$ and just the ratio of ${\nu}_D/{\nu}_S$ ranges front 69 to 122 %.
