Thomas L. Friedman's "Our New Historic Divide: B.C. and A.C. ― The World Before Corona and the World After" column is becoming the talk of the times. Whoever talks about the post-Corona world mentions "BC/AC" as a new concept. However, people seem to be overusing the term "BC/AC" while overlooking the specific context that Friedman emphasized. So, taking into account the cultural differences and contexts of the East and the West highlighted in Friedman's column, we devised the "BC/AC" ten-paradigm hypothesis. We hope these ten cultural shifts will be the first step in examining the post-Corona world.

Maturity-onset diabetes of the young (MODY) is caused by autosomal dominant pathogenic variants in one of 14 currently known monogenic genes. Characteristics of patients with MODY include early-onset clinical disease with a family history of diabetes and negative autoantibodies and may present with heterogeneous phenotypes according to the different subtypes. Here, we report a patient with early-onset diabetes who presented asymptomatic mild fasting hyperglycemia with the absence of autoantibodies. She was diagnosed with glucokinase (GCK)-MODY caused by a GCK variant, c.1289T>C (p.L430P), identified by targeted gene-panel testing, and the affected father had the same variant. We interpreted this rare missense variant as a likely pathogenic variant and then she stopped taking oral medication. This case highlights the usefulness of gene-panel testing for accurate diagnosis and appropriate management of MODY. We also note the importance of familial genetic testing and genetic counseling for the proper interpretation of MODY variants.

We investigate the correlation between the peak energy and the burst duration using available long GRB data with known redshift, whose circumburst medium type has been suggested via afterglow light curve modeling. We find that the peak energy and the burst duration of the observed GRBs are correlated both in the observer frame and in the GRB rest frame. For our total sample we obtain, for instance, the Spearman rank-order correlation values ${\sim}0.75\;and\;{\sim}0.65$ with the chance probabilities $P=1.0{\times}10^{-3}\;and\;P=6.0{\times}10^{-3}$ in the observer frame and in the GRB rest frame, respectively. We note that taking the effects of the expanding universe into account reduces the value a bit. We further attempt to separate our GRB sample into the 'ISM' GRBs and the 'WIND' GRBs according to environment models inferred from the afterglow light curves and apply statistical tests, as one may expect that clues on the progenitor of GRBs can be deduced directly from prompt emission properties other than from the ambient environment surrounding GRBs. We find that two subsamples of GRBs show different correlation coefficients. That is, the Spearman rank-order correlation are ${\sim}0.65\;and\;{\sim}0.57$ for the 'ISM' GRBs and 'WIND' GRBs, respectively, after taking the effects of the expanding universe into account. It is not yet, however, statistically very much significant that the GRBS in two types of circumburst media show statistically characteristic behaviors, from which one may conclude that all the long bursts are not originated from a single progenitor population. A larger size of data is required to increase the statistical significance.

According to the progress of IT and data processing technology, the usage of internet increased rapidly and various smart devices are appearing. As such, modern people use smartphone to acquire informations they wish and also on daily life including leisure activity free of place. This study has designed and implemented schedule managing application that can help effective managing of our daily life, such as taking note of schedule and sharing appointments. The schedule managing application in this study offers diary taking, sharing the registrated schedule with other users on kakaotalk, saving the deleted schedule or diary to certain folder when users delete file, continuous alarm of daily schedule function together with schedule registration function. The application which is differentiated to other applications and raised usage is expected to effectively manage the busy everyday life.

Objective : Anal Therapy is another way of taking medicine and applies to each field of clinical treatment extensively. Sinpo-tang(SPT) has been used for the treatment of a allergic rhinitis. In this study, the auther investigated the anti anaphylactic action of Sinpo-tang by anal therapy was investigated on cutaneous allergic reaction models. Methods : Results : 1. Sinpo-tang (0,001-0.1 g/kg) dose-dependently inhibited the compound 48/80-induced ear swelling response in mice. Inhibitory effect of Sinpo-tang was significant (P < 0.05) at the doses of 0.01, 0.1 g/kg. 2. Sinpo-tang (0.001-0.1 g/kg) inhibited the cutaneous allergic reaction activated by anti-dinitrophenyl IgE in rats. Of special note, Sinpo-tang (0.1 g/kg) inhibited the cutaneous allergic reaction by $68\%$. 3. This inhibitory effect of Sinpo-tang was confirmed by observation of alcian blue/nuclear fast red stained-mast cells in the cutaneous tissue. 4. Sinpo-tang (0.01-1 g/L) dose-dependently inhibited the compound 48/80-induced histamine release from the peritoneal mast cells. Conclusions :These results indicate that anal therapy of Sinpo-tang may be beneficial in the treatment of mast cell-mediated anaphylaxis by inhibition of histamine release from mast cells in vivo and in vitro.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to compare the Korean-medical and the Western-medical psychotherapy on PTSD for improving the Korean-medical psychotherapy on this issue. Methods: We surveyed recent articles relating to psychotherapy on the incidence of PTSD. Results: Under the circumstances of this study, we note that applying the qigong therapeutics would be helpful when conducting relaxation training on the identified PTSD patients. We understand that taking a systematic desensitization style in the use of the kyungja-pyungji treatment is recommended. It would also be more effective to combine other treatments such as the use of the I-Jeong-Byeon-Gi Therapy and the five minds mutual restriction therapy. We have shown that by using the five minds mutual restriction therapy for the imagery rescripting has a better a synergy effect for optimum patient outcomes for patients who have been diagnosed with PTSD. Conclusions: Our study has shown that by improving the shortcomings of the Korean psychotherapy and utilizing Western psychotherapy's merits, we expect to increase the efficacy of the Korean psychotherapy with these recommendations for changes in this case.

In order to clarify the significance of serum CPK for the diagnosis of the cardiac disease in ruminant, the fluctuation of serum total CPK activities and CPK isoenzyme fractions was examined before and after operation in Korean native goats with artificially induced cardiac injury. In the change of serum total CPK activities, those of experimental group were changed with higher values than those of control group and significant increase was found on 2-week after operation(P<0.05). In the fluctuation of serum CPK isoenzyme fractions, significant increase of both CK1 and CK3 fractions was observed on 2-week after operation in experimental group(P<0.05), but significant difference was not found in CK2 fraction between experimental and control groups. From these findings, it is considered that taking note of increase of not only serum total CPK activities but also CK1 and CK3 fractions is important for the diagnosis of traumatic cardiac disease in ruminant.

This study aimed to explore the anger of child, the factors influencing the anger of child, the therapeutic techniques of therapist to resolve the marital conflict as well as the anger of child and the changes of family members after getting family therapy. The data was consisted of recording transcripts and note-taking of 8 sessions family therapy. The study used a constant comparative analysis and Miles & Huberman's matrix and network display as analysis method. The anger of child included aggressive and violent behavior, temperament, fear, anxiety, and negligence of rule. The study revealed parental dysfunctional communication patterns and parental experiences from family of origin as factors influencing the anger of child. The study found therapist's self-disclosure, sharing and comparing with similar cases, explanation of dysfunctional communication patterns, explanation about similarity in generational transmission process, and suggestion of new solutions as therapeutic techniques. The result of study showed the alleviation of marital conflict, the amelioration in the anger of child, and the change in the relationships of family members after getting family therapy.

This study tried to answer the question : 'How does the human communication happen at the oriental medicine hospital between nurse and patient?' To answer that, a micro-ethnographic research method was used. Researcher visited T university hospital of oriental medicine and observed nurse-patient communication from September 1997 to December 1997. The data was obtained through participant observation, interview, audio-tape recording, home video camera, field note-taking, and related documents. After reviewing the whole data and deliberate analysis, first, I learned that most oriental medicine nurses communicate with their patients for their routine nursing job like recording, hand-over to the next duty, report to doctor, etc. I named this type of communication as 'ritual communication'. Second, I can define major argument as follow : Human communication of oriental medicine between nurse and patient is performed more frequently and variously when nurse contacts the patient for the routine nursing activities than for the incidental activities. As a result of these understandings, I suggest that oriental nursing need to develop the body of knowledge and expand its role and independent nursing activity. Also the bureaucratic hospital management centered doctors must be changed reasonalbly.

The primary aim of this paper is to propose a non-linear regression based technique for mapping different network Quality of Service (QoS) factors to an integrated end-user Quality of Experience (QoE) or Mean Opinion Score (MOS) value for an online video streaming service on a mobile phone. We use six network QoS factors for finding out the user QoE. The contribution of this paper is threefold. First, we investigate the impact of the network QoS factors on the perceived video quality. Next, we perform an individual mapping of the significant network QoS parameters obtained in stage 1 to the user QoE based upon a non-linear regression method. The optimal QoS to QoE mapping function is chosen based upon a decision variable. In the final stage, we evaluate the integrated QoE of the system by taking the combined effect of all the QoS factors considered. Extensive subjective tests comprising of over 50 people across a wide variety of video contents encoded with H.265/HEVC and VP9 codec have been conducted in order to gather the actual MOS data for the purpose of QoS to QoE mapping. Our proposed hybrid model has been validated against unseen data and reveals good prediction accuracy.
