노치위치에 따른 Narrow Gap 용접부의 인성변화 (Effect of notch location on the toughness of narrow gap weldment)

  • This investigation studied the toughness variations in the narrow gap weldment with the notch location. Specimens with the notch at the center of the weld metal showed the lowest toughness. As the location of notchmoves to fusion line, the impact properties improve reaching a maximum at the fusion boundaries. This improvement in toughness can be explained by the microstructural feature showing in the narrow gap weldment. "one pass/layer" technique performed in narrow gap welding results in the increased proportion of refined structure as approaching to fusion boundary from weld center and thus leave 100% refined structure along the fusion boundary. HAZ also shows 100% refined structure with respect to base metal structure accompanied with the significant suppression of ductile-brittle transition temperature.mperature.

단공 (端孔) V-노치가 있는 PMMA 판의 파괴기준에 관한 연구 (A Study on Fracture Criterion of PMMA Plates Having a V-Notch with an End Hole)

  • The aim of this study was to examine the validity of fracture criterion for PMMA plates that have a V-notch with an end hole. The predicted stress intensity factors and crack initiation angles by the fracture criterion based on the maximum circumferential stress and the novozhilov's criteria were compared with the experimental results. By increasing the radius of end hole, the differences of predicted stress intensity factors and experimental results increased, possibly due to the plastic zone size. The results indicated that when the radius of end hole is < 1 mm, the fracture criterion would be useful.

  • HDPE smooth and textured GMs were cut into dumbbell shape and notched where depth of the notch produced a ligament thickness of 90% to 10% of the nominal thickness of the specimen at 10% interval. Yield stress and elongation were measured of those samples and plotted on Graph. Yield stress and elongation at yield point decreases gradually as the notch depth is increased. Both installations damaged and notched GMs were used to understand stress crack behavior. Intact sample were notched in such a manner that the depth of notch produced a ligament thickness of 80% of the nominal thickness of the specimen. Installation damaged samples were not notched. Stress Crack Resistance behavior was observed using NCTL Test at $50{\pm}1^{\circ}C$ at different yield stresses immerging with pH 4 and pH 12 buffer solutions. Significant difference was observed in both cases.

  • One of the most difficult problems in depth control for underwater vehicle is the effect of seaway disturbance. One component of the seaway forces is of large magnitude with a relatively narrow-band, first order component. The other component is generaly of somewhat smaller magnitude, second order component. Since the magnitude of the first order component is generally much greater than the compensating force that can be generating by the planes, it is undesirable for the controller to generate a control command. In this paper, we disigned adaptive notch filtering system using filter bank structure. Energies of each band-passed signal are obtained by MA(Moving Average) method and compared to produce center frequency. By adapting this parameter to notch filter, 1st order seaway disturbance can be removed, which lead to the improvement of automatic depth control system.

  • Pressure ripples of hydraulic vane pump results from flow ripples due to pump geometry and reverse flow through the discharge port due to compressibility of fluid and result in vibration and noise of connected hydraulic elements. In a balanced type vane pump, cam ring curve is important factor to influence the flow ripples. Therefore, to reduce the flow ripple, it has been required that optimal selection of seal region by proper design of cam ring and each port position, and notches for preventing the excessive reverse flow. This paper has been performed analytical study of compression characteristics with major design parameter in side plate and cam ring. and examined into the role of notch and radius reduction ratio.

平面굽힘 疲勞荷重 에 의한 鋼熔接部 의 모서리균열 傳파特性 (A Study on the Corner Crack Propagation by Plane Bending Fatigue in Butt Welded Joints of Steel)

  • The behavior of corner crack propagation by unidirectional plane bending fatigue was investigated in the butt welded joints of SS41 and SM50 steel plates including an edge through-thickness notch. The properties of fatigue crack propagation were inspected in the weld metal, heat-affected zone, and base metal of the welded joints. Main results obtained are as follows; (1) When a plate with an edge through-thickness notch is loaded by plane bending fatigue in indirection, the 2 variant corner cracks on the upper and lower edge of the plate are initiated and propagated respectively from the notch. (2) In case of a specimen containing a corner crack, it is more reasonable to estimate the crack propagation rate by area of fracture surface than by crack surface length. (3) The rate of fatigue crack propagation becomes faster in the following order; weld metal, heat-affected zone, and base metal. (4) The specimen including reinforcement shape is rapidly failed throughout bond due to effect of its shape when the repeated load exceeds a certain cycle.

  • In this paper, thrust ripple is minimized using notch and slot-aperture width adjustment in a slotted PMLSM and then optimal design was achieved by using a neural network. This paper has used the moving model node technique to reduce the time and the effort for calculation according to changing design parameters. As the result, the detent force of optimal model is decreased from 9.44[N] to 0.97[N] greatly compare with it of basic model. The thrust is decreased 1.3[%] from 342.07[N] to 337.48[N] a little.

하나의 웨이퍼 전체 영상을 이용한 웨이퍼 Pre-Alignment 시스템 (A Wafer Pre-Alignment System Using One Image of a Whole Wafer)

  • This paper presents a wafer pre-alignment system which is improved using the image of the entire wafer area. In the previous method, image acquisition for wafer takes about 80% of total pre-alignment time. The proposed system uses only one image of entire wafer area via a high-resolution CMOS camera, and so image acquisition accounts for nearly 1% of total process time. The larger FOV(field of view) to use the image of the entire wafer area worsen camera lens distortion. A camera calibration using high order polynomials is used for accurate lens distortion correction. And template matching is used to find a correct notch's position. The performance of the proposed system was demonstrated by experiments of wafer center alignment and notch alignment.

A Compact LTCC Dual-Band WLAN Filter using Two Notch Resonators

  • This paper presents compact dual-band WLAN filter and filter module. They were developed by embedding all of the passive lumped elements into a LTCC substrate. In order to reduce the size/volume of the filter and avoid EM parasitic couplings between the passive elements, the proposed filter was designed using a 3rd order Chebyshev circuit topology and J-inverter transformation technology. The 3rd order Chebyshev bandpass filter was firstly designed for the band-selection of the 802.11b and was then transformed using finite transmission zeros technologies. Finally, the dual-band filter was realized by adding two notch resonators to the 802.11b filter circuit for the band-selection of the 802.11a/g. The maximum insertion losses in the lower and higher passbands were better than 2.0 and 1.3 dB with minimum return losses of 15 and 14 dB, respectively. Furthermore, the filter was integrated with a diplexer to clearly split the signals between 2 and 5 GHz. The maximum insertion and minimum return losses of the fabricated module were 2.2 and 14 dB at 2.4 - 2.5 GHz, and 1.6 and 19 dB at 5.15 - 5.85 GHz, respectively. The overall volume of the fabricated filter was $2.7{\times}2.3{\times}0.59mm^3$.

주파수 대역 저지 특성을 갖는 초광대역 안테나 (Ultra-Wideband Antenna Having a Frequency Band Notch Characteristic)

  • 본 논문에서는 Ultra-Wideband(UWB)통신을 위한 새로운 소형 주파수 대역 저지 안테나를 설계 및 제작한다. 설계된 안테나는 초광대역 특성을 만족하면서, IEEE 802.11a와 HIPERLAN/2에 의해 사용이 제한된 $5.15\~5.825\;GHz$에서 주파수 대역 저지 특성을 갖는다. 안테나의 광대역 특성을 얻기 위해서 요철 모양의 접지면을 구현하였고, 또한 제한된 주파수 대역에서 저지 특성을 갖기 위해 U모양의 얇은 슬랏을 사각형 복사 패치 위에 구현 하였다. 제작된 안테나는 저지 대역인 $4.92\~5.866\;GHz$을 제외하고 $2.95\~11.7\;GHz$ 대역에서 정재파비 2 이하를 만족하는 광대역 특성을 나타낸다.
