매크로셀과 마이크로셀이 중첩된 W-CDMA 무선가입자망에서 마이크로셀의 용량 산정 (Capacity esitmation of microcell in macro/microcell overlaid W-CDMA WLL system)

  • This paper has presented the parameters for the coexistence between two systems in macro/microcell ovelaid W-CDMA WLL (wideband CDMA wireless local loop) and has calculated the capacity of forward/reverse link in microcell. To produce the capacity for analyzing system interference effects, we have shown tables and graphs with the parameters sucyh as RF channel bandwidth of WLL(W), the transmission rate of service message(R), the required signal power to noise power ratio( $E_{b/}$ $N_{0}$) for achieving accepatable error rate, te user number ( $N_{W1}$, $N_{W2}$) of the neighboring system, the signal power to interference power ratio(.GAMMA.$_{C1B}$, .GAMMA.$_{C2B}$) of the neighboring system, the normalized distance(d) between microcell and macrocell base-station, and microcell to macrocell radius ratio ( $R_{d}$). From the results, we have convinced that the capacity of microcell diminishes as increasing the user number ( $N_{W2}$) in macrocell, increasing the microcell radius, and decreasing the normalized distance(d) between microcell and macrocell base-station. Especially, we have known that when $R_{d}$=0.1, $N_{W2}$ must be below 24 at .GAMMA.$_{C2B}$ = 0 dB and below 8 at .GAMMA.$_{C2B}$ = 4 dB for the acceptable capacity raito to be over 80%. Therfore, this paper is usefult to design microcell W-CDMA WLL for accommodating more user number under the interference effects of macrocell W-CDMA WLL and is expected to be reference in power control if base-station.ation.ion.ation.ation.

3차원 합성 입체음향 환경에서의 음향반향제거기 (An Acoustic Echo Canceler under 3-Dimensional Synthetic Stereo Environments)

  • 본 논문에서는 다자간 화상회의 시스템에서 합성 입체 음향을 재현하는 방법과 음향반향제거 방법을 제안한다. 합성 입체 음향은 HRTF(head related transfer function)을 이용하여 구현하고 반향제거를 위하여 주변잡음에 대하여 강건한 적응 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안하는 알고리즘은 SMAP(set-membership affine projection)을 변형한 것으로 적응필터의 계수를 갱신할 때 입력신호와 추정오차신호의 상호상관을 입력신호의 자기상관 행렬과 투영 차수를 곱한 추정오차신호 전력의 합으로 정규화한다. 제안하는 적응알고리즘은 SMAP 알고리즘과 비교하여 투영차수와 주변잡음에 대하여 강건한 특성을 갖는다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 제안하는 합성 입체음향 반향제거기의 성능이 효과적으로 반향을 제거할 수 있음을 보인다.

Performance Analysis for Optimizing Threshold Level Control of a Receiver in Asynchronous 2.5 Gbps/1.2 Gbps Optical Subscriber Network with Inverse Return to Zero(RZ) Coded Downstream and NRZ Upstream Re-modulation

  • We propose the performance enhancing method optimization of an asynchronous 2.5 Gbps/1.25 Gbps optical subscriber network with inverse RZ (Return to Zero) coded downstream and NRZ (Non Return to Zero) upstream re-modulation by adjusting threshold level control of a receiver. We theoretically analyze the BER (Bit Error Rate) performance by modeling the occurrence of BER by simulation with MATLAB according to the types of downstream data. The results have shown that the normalized threshold level in an optical receiver could be saturated at 1/3 as the SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) increases. The needed SNR for obtaining the BER $10^{-9}$ can be reduced by $\sim$5 dB by optimizing the normalized threshold level at 1/3 instead of by using the conventional receiver with threshold level of 0.5. The proposed system can be a useful technology for asynchronous optical access networks with asymmetric upstream and downstream data rates, because the improved minimum receiving power could replace a light source with a source with lower power and lower cost in an OLT (Optical Line Termination).

  • 아나로그 무선통신계와 디지탈 무선통신계가 각기 동일 무선주파수대의 인접주파수를 사용함에 의한 시스템간 간섭이 존재하는 상태하에서 이들 양 무선통신계가 혼재하기 위해 필요한 최적조건을 구하고자 그의 제일단계로서 아나로그계가 디지탈계에 미치는 시스템간 간섭에 대해 이론적 해석을 행했다. 이에는 특히 이제까지 불분명했던 PSK 신호에 미치는 FM 신호의 간섭영향에 대해서 논했다. 본 연구에서 얻어진 결과는 시스템간 간섭의 존재하에 있어서의 PSK 시스템에 대한 각파수할당 및 대역폭, 전력 등을 정함에 있어 유효한 자료를 제공한다.

Time- and Frequency-Domain Optimization of Sparse Multisine Coefficients for Nonlinear Amplifier Characterization

  • For the testing of nonlinear power amplifiers, this paper suggests an approach to design optimized multisine signals that could be substituted for the original modulated signal. In the design of multisines, complex coefficients should be determined to mimic the target signal as much as possible, but very few methods have been adopted as general solutions to the coefficients. Furthermore, no solid method for the phase of coefficients has been proven to show the best resemblance to the original. Therefore, in order to determine the phase of multisine coefficients, a time-domain nonlinear optimization method is suggested. A frequency-domain-method based on the spectral response of the target signal is also suggested for the magnitude of the coefficients. For the verification, multisine signals are designed to emulate the LTE downlink signal of 10 MHz bandwidth and are used to test a nonlinear amplifier at 1.9 GHz. The suggested phase-optimized multisine had a lower normalized error by 0.163 dB when N = 100, and the measurement results showed that the suggested multisine achieved more accurate adjacent-channel leakage ratio (ACLR) estimation by as much as 12 dB compared to that of the conventional iterative method.

가우시안 신호를 갖는 적응 정규화 LMS 앨고리듬의 통계학적 수렴 성질 (Statistical Convergence Properties of an Adaptive Normalized LMS Algorithm with Gaussian Signals)

  • 이 논문에서는 극이 하나 있는 저역 여파기를 쓰는 정규화된 LMS 앨고리즘의 통계학적 수렴을 분석하였다. 이 앨고리즘에서 저역 여파기는 출력이 입력 신호전력의 추정 값에 가깝도록 순환적으로 조정하는 데에 쓰인다. 또한 이때 얻은 입력신호 전력 추정값은 수렴 매개변수를 정규화하는데에 쓰인다. 적응여파기 입력값들이 독립이고 평균이 0이며 넓은 뜻에서 정상인 가우시안 확률과정이라는 가정아래에서 여파기 계수의 평균, 제곱 평균과 제곱 평균 추정오차의 성격을 나타내는식을 얻었다. 평균과 제곱 평균수렴에 필요한 조건을 살펴보았으며 정규화된 LMS 앨고리즘의 성능과 LMS 앨고리즘의 성능을 견주어 보았다. 해석적 방법과 경험적 방법이 매우 잘 들어 맞는다는 것을 보여주는 실험결과도 보였다.

  • Using M-ary QAM and PSK, various modulation methods are researched so far. In this paper, a new constellation method of $4L^2$-PSK that normalized circular multi-layer method is proposed with the advantage of those modulation methods. These replacements of signal points complement weak points of an nonlinear radius increment as a layer increases in M-ary QAM and a low efficiency in PSK compared with QAM. But, $4L^2$-PSK have some problems that in the power efficiency and difference of BER in each layer, So in this paper suggest that advanced $4L^2$-PSK also.

  • 본 논문에서는 핸즈프리 전화통신을 위한 동시통화(double-talk) 및 잡음에 강건한 반향제거 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 반향제거 시스템은 동시통화 상황을 판별하기 위해 마이크 입력신호와 추정한 마이크 입력신호의 분산을 기반으로한 동시통화 검출 알고리즘을 사용하고 반향 경로 추정을 위한 적응 필터는 잔여반향 오차 전력과 AP 알고리즘의 투영차수를 곱하여 입력 신호의 자기공분산 행렬에 더해 정규화시킨 알고리즘을 적용한다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통한 동시통화 및 주변 잡음이 큰 핸즈프리 환경에서 제안하는 방법이 AIC(acoustic interference cancellation) 측면에서 우수함을 보인다.

입력 성형기의 고차 시스템 적용을 위한 GA활용 (An Application of the Genetic Algorithm for the Input Shaper on the High Order System)

  • Recently, industrial systems are becoming quicker and lighter to enable the reduction of energy consumption and increase productivity. So the latest systems are more flexible and rapid than the previous systems. But, with this improvement, another problem has emerged, such as the increase in residual vibration when a system is started or stopped. The input shaper is a command generation method that can remove residual vibration. It can provide a solution to the problem of residual vibration in industrial systems. However, it is difficult to generate the input shaper in high order systems, such as a typical industrial system because the input shaper is induced from the system's vibration characteristics. This study focused on the extra insensitivity shaper that can compensate for the system's modeling error such as input dynamics, and the high order's system affection. A genetic algorithm was deployed to adjust a vibration limitation for the extra insensitivity of the input shaper. A plant is a low damping system that includes one zero and a pole. The fitness functions are an error signal of the system's response with normalized frequency variations. Verification of the suggested system is satisfied by comparison between the zero vibration derivative input shaper's response and the suggested one.

Spatial Frequency Coverage and Image Reconstruction for Photonic Integrated Interferometric Imaging System

  • A photonic integrated interferometric imaging system possesses the characteristics of small-scale, low weight, low power consumption, and better image quality. It has potential application for replacing conventional large space telescopes. In this paper, the principle of photonic integrated interferometric imaging is investigated. A novel lenslet array arrangement and lenslet pairing approach are proposed, which are helpful in improving spatial frequency coverage. For the novel lenslet array arrangement, two short interference arms were evenly distributed between two adjacent long interference arms. Each lenslet in the array would be paired twice through the novel lenslet pairing approach. Moreover, the image reconstruction model for optical interferometric imaging based on compressed sensing was established. Image simulation results show that the peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) of the reconstructed image based on compressive sensing is about 10 dB higher than that of the direct restored image. Meanwhile, the normalized mean square error (NMSE) of the direct restored image is approximately 0.38 higher than that of the reconstructed image. Structural similarity index measure (SSIM) of the reconstructed image based on compressed sensing is about 0.33 higher than that of the direct restored image. The increased spatial frequency coverage and image reconstruction approach jointly contribute to better image quality of the photonic integrated interferometric imaging system.
