MC를 이용한 측면 연삭에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Side-cut Grinding using the Mactining Center)

  • A problem in the grinding process using the machining center(MC) with a small diametric wheel is the machining error due to due to decrease of quill diameter. In this paper, a side-cut grinding is performed with a vitrified bonded CBN wheel by the MC, and the relation between grinding force and machining error for grinding conditions is investigated experimentally. It is show that the normal force has a significant effect on the machining error.

  • To improve the surface waviness in the peripheral milling, since the tool deflection is largely affected by cutting force, the feedrate is controlled so that the cutting force measured in the normal direction to the workpiece is constant. A discrete time first order model between the feedrate and the tool deflection is derived for the control. The experimental results show that the surface waviness is greatly improved by the proposed method.

디지털 측정기로 측정된 급기가압 제연구역의 출입문 개방력에 대한 신뢰성 분석 및 최적 조건 제시 (Reliability Analysis of Access Door Opening Force Measured with a Digital Force Gauge of a Pressurized Smoke Control Zone and Presentation of Optimum Conditions for the Opening Force)

  • 본 연구는 디지털 측정기(Digital Force Gauge)를 이용해 급기가압 제연구역 출입문의 개방력을 측정하여 신뢰성을 검증하는데 있다. 개방력은 제연구역에 급기가압 기류가 들어가기 전과 후의 개방 부하를 측정하였다. 측정값은 미니탭 프로그램(Minitab PGM)의 AD(Anderson Darling) 통계분석법으로 신뢰도를 검증하였다. 분석된 P값은 제연설비의 작동 전과 후의 일부 층을 제외하고는 0.05 이상을 나타낸 것으로 보아 95% 신뢰도가 있는 것으로 해석된다. 측정값의 정규분포는 제연설비의 작동 여부와 관계가 없었으며, 계측기의 정밀도는 신뢰할 수 있는 것으로 분석된다. 그리고 급기가압 제연설비의 최적설계 조건은 계측기의 정밀도와 신뢰성, 측정자의 바른 자세, 출입문의 동일한 조건 등이 주요 인자로 판단된다. 따라서 급기가압 제연구역 출입문의 개방력의 측정은 디지털 측정기가 적합한 것으로 판단된다. 또한 효과적인 개방력의 측정은 측정자의 자세 표준화, 출입문의 초기 개방력의 설정 등이 주요 변수로 작용하고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

  • 본 연구에서는 면직 및 고무 평벨트에 대하여 베트와 풀리간의 수직 및 접선 마찰력 분포를 측정하고 이들의 마찰특성을 비교하고자 하였다. 마찰접촉면적을 직 접 측정하는 대신, 표면모델에 의한 이론식을 제시하고 이론식과 실험에 의한 수직 및 접선력을 비교하여 마찰면의 표면모델과 마찰계수를 연구하였다.

  • This paper describes the development of a cylindrical-object grasping force measuring system applied haptic technology to measure the grasping force of strokes patients' fingers and other patients' paralyzed fingers. Because the cylindrical-object and the force measuring device of the developed cylindrical-object grasping force measuring system are connected with the electrical wires, patients and their families have difficulty not only measuring the patients' grasping force using the system but also knowing their rehabilitation extent when using it. In this paper, the cylindrical-object grasping force measuring system applied haptic technology was developed, and the cylindrical-object grasping force measuring device sends data to the rehabilitation evaluating system applied haptic technology by wireless communication. The grasping force measurement characteristic test using the system was carried out, and it was confirmed that the rehabilitation extent of the patients' paralyzed fingers and normal people fingers can be evaluated.

나노 힘 측정 및 표준 (Nano Force Metrology and Standards)

  • Small force measurements ranging from 1 pN to $100{\mu}N$, we call it Nano Force, become the questions of common interests of biomechanics, nanomechanics, material researches, and so on. However, unfortunately, quantitative and accurate force measurements have not been taken so far. This is because there ,are no traceable force standards and a calibration scheme. This paper introduces a quantitative force metrology, which provides traceable link to SI (International Systems of Units). We realize SI traceable force ranging from 1 nN to $100{\mu}N$ using an electrostatic balance and disseminate it through transfer standards, which are self-sensing cantilevers that have integrated piezoresistive strain gages. We have been built a prototype electrostatic balance and Nano Force Calibrator (NFC), which is an AFM cantilever calibration system. As a first experiment, we calibrated normal spring constants of commercial AFM cantilevers using NFC. Calibration results show that the spring constants of them are quite differ from each other and nominal values provided by a manufacturer (up to 240% deviation).

Direct Control of a Passive Haptic Device Based on Passive Force Manipulability Ellipsoid Analysis

  • In displaying a virtual wall using a passive haptic device equipped with passive actuators such as electric brakes, unsmooth motion frequently occurs. This undesirable behavior is attributed to time delay due to slowness in the virtual environment update and force approximation due to the inability of a brake to generate torque in arbitrary directions. In this paper a new control scheme called direct control is proposed to achieve smooth display on the wall-following task with a passive haptic device. In direct control, brakes are controlled so that the normal component of a resultant force at the end-effector vanishes, based on the force analysis at the end-effector of the passive haptic device using the passive FME (Force Manipulability Ellipsoid). Various experiments have been conducted to verify the validity of the direct control scheme with a 2-link passive haptic system.

절삭력에 의한 칩의 형상분류와 칩형상 예측 (The Prediction and Classification of the Chip Fomation using Cutting Force)

  • In order to achieve high flexibility in manufacture, chip control is one of the most serious problems at present. The continuous type chip (uncontrolled chip), which interrupts the normal cutting process and damages the operator, tool and workpiece have a higher force ratio. while the controlled chip which is 6 or 9 type and C type, has the values of the force ratio below 0.6 The chips were classified by 4 types. in chip formation and by described chip history during the cutting process. Finally, the feasibility of utilizing force ratios in chip control will be pointed out while comparing generated force signals during the cutting process.

  • In this research, we studied on improvement of the attraction force of solenoid operated valve for normal operation in harsh environment like vessel. Attraction force of the solenoid valves is effected by the B-H characteristics of magnetic material and the size of coil. In order to specify impact of the affection, we performed the B-H characteristics test and attraction force. Test results show that magnetic flux densities of the materials are difference each other more than 2 times in same magnetic intensity, and attraction force of the solenoid valve is 1.7 times difference as changes of resistance and the number of coil winding of solenoid.

  • This paper report nanotribological behavior between Si tip and Cu wafer surfaces which was treated various concentration of $H_2O_2$. This experimental approach has proven atomic level insight into Cu CMP. It has been used to study interfacial friction and adhesion force between Si tip and Cu wafer surfaces in air by atomic force microscopy (AFM). Adhesion force of Cu surfaces which was pre-cleaned in diluted HF solution was lager than Cu oxide surfaces. Adhesion force of Cu oxide surface was saturated around 7 nN. Slope of normal force vs lateral signal was increased as increasing concentration of $H_2O_2$ and it was saturated around 24. Friction force of Cu oxide was lager than Cu.
