Modelling of recycled aggregate concrete-filled steel tube (RACFST) beam-columns subjected to cyclic loading

  • A nonlinear finite element analysis (FEA) model is presented for simulating the behaviour of recycled aggregate concrete-filled steel tube (RACFST) beam-columns subjected to constant axial compressive load and cyclically increasing flexural loading. The FEA model was developed based on ABAQUS software package and a displacement-based approach was used. The proposed engineering stress versus engineering strain relationship of core concrete with the effect of recycled coarse aggregate (RCA) replacement ratio was adopted in the FEA model. The predicted results of the FEA model were compared with the experimental results of several RACFST as well as the corresponding concrete-filled steel tube (CFST) beam-columns under cyclic loading reported in the literature. The comparison results indicated that the proposed FEA model was capable of predicting the load versus deformation relationship, lateral bearing capacity and failure pattern of RACFST beam-columns with an acceptable accuracy. A parametric study was further carried out to investigate the effect of typical parameters on the mechanism of RACFST beam-columns subjected to cyclic loading.

  • This paper studies on an active noise control to reduce noise sound level in a small cavity. Ideally, high gain control solves this problem, but, in practice, there exist nonlinear characteristics and modelling errors of the small cavity, which make the control more complicated. H$_{\infty}$ control can be used in an uncertain system after determining uncertain boundary and solved algebraically or numerically.   • The purpose of this study is to see the method of the analysis of EEG(Electroencephalography) whcih is a nonlinear system, to quantize human emotion under color stimulation using the analysis of EEG. The result of this study would be used clinical study and development fo image instruments with color. In this study, the method of the analysis of EEG is power spectrum using FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) and the modelling of EEG under color stimulation base on back propagation Neural Networks ond of AI(Artfical Intellignece) skills. First, input layer make a match to relative power which get analyzing s in 4 channels, and output layer make a match to color stimulation which is measured human emotion. Finally, weights of each neurons determine by learing back porpagation Neural Networks.

  • Neuro-Fuzzy modeling approach is proposed to predict the dynamic behavior of a single-degree-of-freedom structure that is equipped with hybrid base isolation system. Hybrid base isolation system consists of friction pendulum systems (FPS) and a magnetorheological (MR) damper. Fuzzy model of the M damper is trained by ANFIS using various displacement, velocity, and voltage combinations that are obtained from a series of performance tests. Modelling of the FPS is carried out with a nonlinear analytical equation that is derived in this study and neuro-fuzzy training. Fuzzy logic controller is employed to control the command voltage that is sent to MR damper. The dynamic responses or experimental structure subjected to various earthquake excitations are compared with numerically simulated results using neuro-fuzzy modeling method. Numerical simulation using neuro-fuzzy models of the MR damper and FPS predict response of the hybrid base isolation system very well.

퍼지제어를 이용한 용접선 추적용 아크센서에 관한 연구 (A Study on Arc Sensor for Weld Seam Tracking by Using Fuzzy Control)

  • Experimental models which are able to determine the deviation between weld line and weaving center by measuring the weld current during welding were proposed for the gas metal arc welding process. The models were used for developing a weld seam tracking system which controls the weaving speed of a welding torch. However, it was revealed that the tracking result of the system is affected by the welding conditions. Thus an arc sensor system was developed by using fuzzy control approach for overcoming the difficulty of modelling the nonlinear process. The rule base and parameters of the fuzzy control system were determined on the basis of the results of experiments. This fuzzy control system has shown the successful tracking capability for the wide operating range of welding conditions.

주퇴충격하중을 받는 궤도차량 구조물의 천이응력해석 (Transient stress analysis of tracked vehicle structures under recoil impact load)

  • In this study, the transient impact structural stress analysis of tracked vehicle structures under recoil impact load is investigated. ANSYS, ABAQUS Code are used for modelling and analytical procedures. The highest maximum Tresca stress occurs on race ring portion and its stress level is (.sigma.$_{T}$)$_{max}$ =20-40kgf/m $m^{2}$. The second highest stress occurs on upper plate of chassis and down plate of turret. The maximum stress level increases with loading direction and elevation angle. The results from liner static load analysis are very much different with impact analysis. Therefore, the practical solutions of structures under impact load can be obtained by only nonlinear transient impact analysis. The impact stress analysis of the steel vehicle structures is conducted. The maximum stress level is less than (.sigma.$_T/)$_{max}$m $m^{2}$. So, the design concept of steel structures can be adapted for new alternatives.s.s.s..s.

  • Model Based Predictive Control(MBPC) has been widely used in predictive control since 80's. GPC[1] which is the superset of many MBPC strategies a popular method, but GPC has some weakness, such as insufficient stability analysis, non-applicability to internally unstable systems. However, CRHPC[2] proposed in 1991 overcomes the above limitations. So we chose RHPC based on CRHPC for electric furnace control. An electric furnace which has nonlinear properties and large time delay is difficult to control by linear controller because it needs nearly perfect modelling and optimal gain in case of PID. As a result, those controls are very time-consuming. In this paper, we applied RHPC with equality constraint to electric furnace. The reults of experiments also include the case of RHPC with monotonic weighting improving the transient response and including unmodelled dynamics. So, This paper proved the practical aspect of RHPC for real processes.

  • 본 논문은 인공폐의 설계및 임상진단을 위한 허파기능의 연구 및 호흡생리의 요체인 폐모세 혈관내 혈액의 Hb와 가스상 산소의 비선형 결합특성을 규명할 수 있는 새로운 산소포화 모델을 전기적 등가회로에 기초하여 유도하였다. 새로이 유도된 산소포화 모텔은 종래의 모델에 비해 훨씬 간단하고, 광범위한 pH 및 각 생리 parameter 등의 변동에도 정확히 적용될 수 있었을 뿐 아니라, 결합반응과 등가인 2단 및 4단 RC 전기적 등가회로의 Simulation 결과로 부터, Hb 와 산소의 비선형 결합특성은 2단계의 복합 반응으로 취급하는 것이 타당함을 확인하였다.

  • The non-linear finite element program of the large deformation analysis by computer simulation has been used in the prediction and evaluation of the behaviors of the non-linear rubber components. The analysis of rubber components requires the tools modelling the special materials that are quite different from those used for the metallic parts. The nonlinear simulation analysis used in this study is expected to be widely applied in the design analysis and the development of several rubber components which are used In the manufacturing process of many industries. By utilizing this method, the time and cost can also be saved in developing the new rubber product. The objective of this study is to analyze the rubber component with the large deformation and non-linear properties.

Buckling of monopod bucket foundations-influence of boundary conditions and soil-structure interaction

  • Using large monopod bucket foundations as an alternative to monopiles for offshore wind turbines offers the potential for large cost savings compared to typical piled foundations. In this paper, numerical simulations are carried out to assess the risk of structural buckling during installation of large-diameter bucket foundations. Since shell structures are generally sensitive to initially imperfect geometries, eigenmode-affine imperfections are introduced in a nonlinear finite-element analysis. The influence of modelling the real lid structure compared to classic boundary conditions is investigated. The effects of including soil restraint and soil-structure interaction on the buckling analysis are also addressed.
