방음벽 상단부 형상에 따른 삽입손실 연구 (A Study on the Insertion Loss of Noise Barrier with the Variation of Top Shape)

  • 방음벽의 상단부 형상에 따른 삽입손실을 무향실에서 모형축척 방법으로 측정하고 상호 비교하였다. 높이 0.3m의 수직형 방음벽에 대한 삽입손실과 간단한 형상물을 상단부에 설치한 방음벽의 삽입손실과의 차를 비교하였다. 실험결과 단순히 높이를 증가시키는 경우보다 상단부에 간단한 형상을 설치한 것이 더 효과적이었다. 'T'형, 'Y'형 및 '(equation omitted)'형 방음벽에 대한 삽입손실을 비교한 결과 'T'형과 '(equation omitted)'형 방음벽은 비슷하였으며 'Y'형이 가장 좋은 효과를 나타냈다. 본 연구결과는 Alfredson(PIOC. Inter-Noise 95, p. 381, 1995)등의 결과와는 잘 일치하지만 May (J. Sound Vib. 71, p. 73, 1980) 등의 결과와는 상충된다. 따라서 어떤 형태가 가장 좋은지를 결정하는 것은 어렵다. 왜 이러한 상호 모순되는 결과를 얻게 되는가를 알기 위해 경계요소법을 적용한 결과 각 연구자들마다 다른 방음벽의 높이, 음원과 수음점의 위치, 높이와 거리를 서로 다른 실험조건을 가정했기 때문임을 알 수 있었다.

도로교통소음의 방음벽 흡음효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Absorptive Treatments for the Highway Noise Barriers)

  • 자동차의 폭발적인 증가와 아울러 경부고속전철시대를 맞이함으로 인하여 소음공해는 큰 사회적 문제로 대두되고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 소음공해에 대한 해결책의 일환으로 효율적인 방음벽을 연구 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 방음벽의 연구는 먼저 반사형 방음벽과 흡음형 방음벽에 대한 소음저감효과 를 산정한 다음, 흡음재료를 사용함으로서 감소되는 소음저감 효과를 산정하는데 큰 의의가 있다. 본 연구결과에 의하면 방음벽의 높이에 비하여 음의 파장이 대체로 짧을 때는 방음벽의 상단부분에 흡음재를 설치하면 방음벽 전체에 흡음재를 설치한 것과 같은 효과가 있다는 결론을 얻었다. 도로교통소음은 평균주파수가 550Hz 이므로 이때 파장은 60cm 정도이다. 방음벽 높이를 4m로 설치했을 때 방음벽 상단에서 60cm 정도만 흡음재를 사용하면 4m전체의 방음벽에 흡음재를 사용한 것과 같은 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 흡음재를 사용한 소음저감의 효과는 점음원이고 수음자의 위치가 $135^{\circ}$ 일 때 평균 8dB(A)정도이고, 선음원일때는 평균 3dB(A)정도의 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다 이러한 흡음형의 방음벽은 경제적일 뿐만 아니라 방음벽의 높이를 최소한 1m이상 줄일 수 있으므로 국토를 고도로 이용해야 되는 우리 나라의 여건에 대단히 효과적인 방음벽이라 사료된다.

  • The major advantage of transparent materials over traditional materials in noise barriers is aesthetics. The transparent panel materials such as clear plastic or glass are an ideal way of reducing or virtually eliminating the visual impact of a noise barrier. With the use of transparent materials, the drivers' view of the roadside and the sunlight penetration to the highway would not be blocked. With the use of transparent materials, the highway and barrier appear less imposing. Korean Industrial Standards for soundproof panels have been established. But, transparent soundproof panels are not included in this standards. And, some specifications provide only a few basic characteristics for transparent soundproof panels. To develop guidelines on quality criteria for transparent soundproof panel, their mechanical properties such as wind load resistance, safety under impact, and abrasion resistance were experimentally investigated.

  • The Objective of this research is to find the optimal design of the Noise Reduction Interference Model (NRIM) which is recently invented. Without optimization, the NRIM has been successful to reduce the urban noise induced by trains and automobiles. While it is used with the barrier on the road, there is a strong desire to reduce noise more. Yet the only remedy is to make the barrier higher with cost increase. Therefore, the optimal design is necessary to reduce noise while maintaining the barrier height. More efficient Genetic Algorithm is used to find the optimal shape of NRIM with the reduction of noise lever up to 15 dB. also BEM is used to verify the optimal design results.

A CFD Study of Roadside Barrier Impact on the Dispersion of Road Air Pollution

  • This study evaluated road shape and roadside barrier impact on near-road air pollution dispersion using FLUENT computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model. Simulated road shapes are three types, namely at-grade, depressed, and filled road. The realizable k-${\varepsilon}$ model in FLUENT CFD code was used to simulate the flow and dispersion around road. The selected concentration profile results were compared with the wind tunnel experiments. The overall concentration profile results show good agreement with the wind tunnel results. The results showed that noise barriers, which positioned around the at-grade road, decrease the horizontal impact distance (In this study, the impact distance was defined as the distance from road surface origin coordinate to the position whose mass fraction is 0.1.) lower 0.33~0.65 times and change the vertical air pollution impact distance larger 2.0~2.27 times than those of no barrier case. In case of filled road, noise barriers decrease the horizontal impact distance lower 0.24~0.65 times and change the vertical air pollution impact distance larger 3.33~3.55 times than those of no barrier case. The depressed road increase 1.53~1.68 times the vertical air pollution impact distance. It contributes the decrease of horizontal air pollution impact distance 0.32~0.60 times compare with no barrier case.

  • These Days a lot of Noise Complaints in vicinity of Railway has been more increase than before. Almost 1/3 Residences who lives in Railway side are Exposure to Noise Pollution. Since the Apartment Buildings around Railway are getting more higher, so those of the Noise Barrier are not best solution anymore. We are going to make a New Plane with the state of the art technology for Railway Noise Abatement Control. Our Goal are focus on a development of Light Weight Noise Tunnel designed by new absorption mat'l and tunnel Stucture on the Overbridge and Viaduct of existing Railway. New Noise Tunnel will be reducing their weight more than 30% against Road Traffic One and also 10dB(A) Noise Reduction against Noise Barrier.

단일수치 평가방법에 따른 방음벽의 흡음성능 고찰 (Sound Absorption Performance of Noise Barrier According to Single Number Rating Methods)

  • In this study, single number rating methods of sound absorption coefficients are discussed. After that the sound absorption performance of noise barriers which are classified by Korea Standard are analyzed according to several standards. The existing rating methods such as NRC (noise reduction coefficient), SAA (sound absorption average) or ${\alpha}_w$ (weighted sound absorption coefficient) from ASTM C423, KS F 3505 and ISO 11654 are introduced. The sound absorption performance of noise barrier is evaluated to compare NRC and ${\alpha}_w$ value. When the value is over 0.6 there are large variance between NRC and ${\alpha}_w$ value. As results, it is needed to unify single number rating methods of sound absorption coefficients for Korean standards on sound absorbing materials.

고속철도구간 방음벽 제진재 시험제작 및 성능평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Sample manufacturing and Performance Evaluation for Vibration Insulation Material of Noise Barrier for High-Speed Railway)

  • The commercial service of KTX from April 1st 2004 has realized that whole country has shrunk into half-day life zone and it opened the times of speed. However, some technical problems unexpected before service have been raised and, among them, the noise generation at train passing was claimed by the residents living nearby the track and it is often publicized by the broadcastings and newspapers. In case where the residential area is close to the track, the installation of noise barrier at trackside is the general measures for noise reduction on bridge section and earthwork section. In case of KTX project, such measures were actually taken without any exception; however, the noise level is still high. In this study, analysis for the reason of higher noise level in spite of which the noise barriers are being installed was carried out, the sample of insulation material effective for noise barrier was manufactured and the performance of the insulation material was evaluated to verify its effectiveness

금속재 흡음형 방음벽의 안전 시험 규정 분석 연구 (A Study on the Safety Test Regulation for the Metallic Sound Barrier of the Absorption Type)

  • 발파, 항타와 같은 소원음이 존재하는 건설현장에서의 소음저감대책으로는, 소음원 또는 수음점에 방음벽을 설치하여 전파되는 소음을 차단하는 것이 가장 경제적인 경우가 대부분이다. 이러한 방음벽은 소음설계와 구조설계를 통해 그 규모가 결정되며, 방음벽의 구조적 안전을 보장하기 위해서는 KS F4770에 의한 방음판의 구조적 품질이 보장되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 이 중 금속재 흡음형 방음벽 관련 규정인 F4770-1 - 2001을 분석하여, 그 문제점을 지적하고, 수정 또는 개선 사항을 제시하였다. 분석결과, 보다 경제적인 방음벽의 설치를 위하여 하중의 세분화와 함께 시험방법의 개선이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 이와 함께 독일의 방음벽 설계시 사용되는 규정인 ZTV-Lsw 88과 비교, 검토하였으며, 검토 결과, 한국 규정은 독일규정에 비해, 보수적인 것으로 나타났다.

  • A study on environmental noise hasn't fully researched yet. As society has developed and the quality of life has improved, people started to show a concern about an environmental noise. To ensure a economic feasibility of countermeasures of noise, it is necessary to apply a cost-benefit analysis on choosing optimum measurements. In this study, we addressed the estimation method of the environmental noise value and several domestic and oversea case studies. We also estimate economic value of noise reduction level which is gained from applying noise reduction measurements.
