  • Edge detection always influenced by noise belong to the original image, therefore need use some methods to sort this issue, mean shift algorithm has the smooth function which suit for the edge detection purpose, so adopted to fade out the unimportant information, and the sensitive noise portions. After this section, use the Canny algorithm to pick up the contour of the objects we focus on, meanwhile select the Soble operator that has the orientation attribute to support the method work well. In final, take experiment and get the perfect result we wanted, make sure this method make sense and better than the sole Edge detection algorithm,

  • The purpose of this study is to obtain the basic data of existing light-weight Drywall through the evaluation and analysis of the light-weight drywall in reverberation chamber and to improve sound insulation performance of drywalls. Sound transmission loss of the total 11 types were analyzed in each frequency a-third octave band and evaluated sound insulation performance for each frequency. From data by analysis and calculation, STC value plotted on STC contour. We found that the improved light-weight drywall specimens ⓑ, ⓒ and ⓖ were satisfied with the domestic standard of sound transmission loss.

  • This study aims to derive frequency weighting curves for the estimation of driver's discomfort by steering wheel vibration in the vertical and rotational direction with respect to a steering column. Subjective tests for the determination of equal sensation curves, inverse of frequency weighting curves, for the two kinds of vibrations were performed using the sinusoidal signals with reference amplitudes from 0.2m/s$^2$ to 0.4 m/s$^2$ in the frequency range from 5㎐ to 100㎐. Twelve subjects joined at the tests, and median values of the twelve judgments were used to determine the frequency weighting curves. Second experiment was followed to determine relative magnitude between the two frequency weighting curves by direct comparison of discomfort due to the two kinds of vibrations at 50㎐, which showed discomfort by the rotational vibration was 1.5 times of that by the vertical vibration.

  • Dynamic stability of rotating blade considering gravity effect is investigated in this paper. Equations of motion for the beam is derived by employing hybrid deformation variable method and transformed into dimensionless form. The present modeling method is verified by RecurDyn. Stability diagrams are presented to show the influence of the configuration of the beam and angular velocity on the dynamic stability by applying Floquet's theory. Since the natural frequencies are varied when the blade has rotating motion, it is found that relatively large unstable regions exist approximately 1.1 times as high as the first bending natural frequency and half of the sum of first and second bending natural frequency.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the correlation of single-number ratings for sound insulation by floor impact. As a assessment method of impact sound insulation. we selected the IIC contour of ISO, A weighted sound level. Inverse A-weighting curve and L-Index of japanese industrial standard. And we estimated the single-number ratings by application the measured data of impact sound level to each method. The results showed that the coefficients of determination between each two single-number ratings were very high (more than 0.9169). And In the condition of same assessment method, the coefficient of determination for light-weight impact sound was higher than that for heavy-weight impact sound.

  • To solve the problem of poor noise suppression capability and frequent loss of edge contour and detailed information in current fusion methods, an infrared and visible light image fusion method based on variational multiscale decomposition is proposed. Firstly, the fused images are separately processed through variational multiscale decomposition to obtain texture components and structural components. The method of guided filter is used to carry out the fusion of the texture components of the fused image. In the structural component fusion, a method is proposed to measure the fused weights with phase consistency, sharpness, and brightness comprehensive information. Finally, the texture components of the two images are fused. The structure components are added to obtain the final fused image. The experimental results show that the proposed method displays very good noise robustness, and it also helps realize better fusion quality.

  • This paper deals with an analysis and reduction of escalator vibration by using the response surface model. Optimization of the escalator vibration is performed by minimization of the vibration responses which are measured at steps. The response surface models of the factors are constructed by using the experimental data based on the D optimal design method. The multi-objective optimization is also performed by applying desirability function and overlaid contour plot techniques. The optimal solution, which is obtained for a typical escalator system, is applied to reduce the escalator vibration.

  • In this paper, a free wake analysis based on the curved vortex element and CVC wake model is used to predict the aerodynamic performance and noise for HAWT. Also for prediction of RPM, a maximum value through a quadratic regression was suggested. And for a noise prediction, the broadband noise prediction method based on experimental equation was used. The curved vortex element uses a BCVE and an SIVE instead of a straight vertex element. In the CVC wake model, the vortex strengths are assumed to be constant along a span and a vortex filament. The free wake structure made by the curved vortex element and CVC was substituted for a vortex lattice, so it has an advantage for the less calculation time and a depiction of accurate wake structure. For the verification of this program, calculated results are compared with Mr. Kim's experiment model and Zond Z-40FS for performance and with WTS-4 and USWP models for noise. Good agreements are obtained between the predicted and the measured data for the performance and far-field noise spectra.

  • This paper proposes a method for effectively segmenting the hand region using a widely popular RGB color-based webcam. This performs the empirical preprocessing method four times to remove the noise. First, we use Gaussian smoothing to remove the overall image noise. Next, the RGB image is converted into the HSV and the YCbCr color model, and global fixed binarization is performed based on the statistical value for each color model, and the noise is removed by the bitwise-OR operation. Then, RDP and flood fill algorithms are used to perform contour approximation and inner area fill operations to remove noise. Finally, ROI (hand region) is selected by eliminating noise through morphological operation and determining a threshold value proportional to the image size. This study focuses on the noise reduction and can be used as a base technology of gesture recognition application.

  • In this paper, we propose an automated silhouette extraction method that can effectively extract inner-patterns and silhouettes from 3D scan data of cultural asset. First of all, after creating the edge list of 3D vector data, we decide contour edge and crease edge according to viewpoint. In the next step, after extracting surface silhouette by investigating the vector variation of adjacent faces in crease edge, we finally extract the contour silhouette and surface silhouette for generating the blueprint of cultural asset. To evaluate the performance of the proposed silhouette extraction method, we performed experiments of silhouette extraction using a traditional tile model, a car model and a stone monument model. Comparing with the conventional threshold-based silhouette extraction method, the proposed method extracted more distinct and clear surface silhouettes and inner-patterns by effectively removing meaningless edges, such as noise.
