Direct Measurement of the VLSI Interconnection Line Capacitances Using a Grounded Shield Plate (접지된 Shield Plate를 이용한 집적회로의 배선용량 측정)

  • A noble interconnection line capacitance measurement method to be able to remove the measurement errors from the probe pad to substrate stray capacitance has been proposed and verified. The measurement errors in the capacitance measurement, which usually be involved from the probe pad to substrate stray capacitance, can easily be removed by isolating the metal probe pad from the substrate with a grounded shield plate between the probe pad the substrate. The measurement results by using this improved capacitance measurement method were compared with the calculations by two-dimensional computer simulations.

  • A new type of LCD has been developed using recently developed phase separated composite film method with a single glass substrate. The resultant structures are made of adjacent parallel layers of liquid crystal and polymer. The LC layer is confined between the solidified polymer layer and glass substrate. The electra-optical properties of the display have been investigated. This technique has the potential to realize a lightweight display for hand-held portable electronic products.

  • SOI 구조의 MOSFET은 제조공정이 상대적으로 간단하며 CMOS 래치 업 현상이 일어나지 않고, soft error에 의한 회로의 오동작 가능성이 매우 낮은 이외에도 낮은 기생 정전용량 및 누설전류 특성을 가지므로 0.1 미크론 이하의 소자를 제작하는데 적합하여 저전압, 초고속 VLSI 설계에 적합한 소자로 각광받고 있다. 본고에서는 새로운 구조의 SOI MOSFET 구조들의 특성과 장, 단점을 검토하고 나아가 BJT(Bipolar Junction Transistor) 및 기타 소자들을 SOI 구조로 제작한 결과에 대해 간단히 검토함으로써 1999년 현재 SOI 기술의 현황을 소개하고자 한다.

  • Catechol moiety has enough reducing capability of reducing metal ions. Catechol-grafted polymer is chemically synthesized and electrospun into nanofibers as templates for metal nanostructures. The metal nanostructures are spontaneously generated on the catechol-grafted polymer nanofibers under ambient conditions.

  • In order to discover new useful NSAIDs, novel N-substituted 1,2-benzisothiazoline-3-one 1,1- dioxide derivatives, which can exhibit potentially antiinflammatory activity were synthesized. 1,2-Benz-isothiazoline-3-one-N-acetic acids 6a, b were obtained from monochloroacetic acid and sodium 1,2-benz-isothiazoline-3-ones in DMF by N-alkylation reaction. N-Substituted 1,2-benzisothiazoline-3-one 1,1-dioxide derivatives 7a-e were synthesized through the coupling of compound 6a, b and several amines (aniline, 2- aminopyridine , 2-aminothiazole, 2-aminotetrazole) with dicyclohexylcarbodiimide in methyl e no chloride.

  • This study is concerned with the personal appearance of the Korean people implied in the Korean proverb. The results of this research was as follows: It appeared that the Korean people preferred the balanced features to the unusual ones in terms of personal appearance. It also revealed that cleanliness and neatness in clothing and in personal appearance were valued by the Korean people. Proper posture was emphasized by the Koreans. Generally, fair skin and small hands were favored by both sexes. Also the Korean people favored handsome, gentle, and decent features as well as dignified and noble character.

  • In the finite element analysis of semiconductor devices analysis, the solution often be diverged due to the numerical instability of discretized equations. To overcome this problems, a noble finite element code which guarantees a successful convergence is developed. The factor of divergence in the current continuity equation of semiconductor governing equations is derived using stability test and an adaptive mesh refine scheme is introduced to eliminates the divergence properties. A test calculation of GaAs MESFET model reveals that the proposed scheme has a robust self-convergence property and is suitable for the semiconductor devices analysis.
