In order to develop alloy resistance in aggressive sulphat ion, the corrosion behavior of metallic glasses $Ni_{92{\cdot}3}Si_{4.5}B_{32}$, $Ni_{82,3}Cr_7Fe_3Si_{4.5}B_{3.2}$ and $Ni_{75.5}Cr_{13}Fe_{4.2}Si_{4.5}B_{2.8}$ (at %) at different concentrations of $H_2SO_4$ solutions was examined by electrochemical methods and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and X-ray Photoelectron Microscopy (XPS) analyses. The corrosion kinetics and passivation behavior was studied. A direct proportion was observed between the corrosion rate and acid concentration in the case of $Ni_{92{\cdot}3}Si_{4.5}B_{32}$ and $Ni_{75.5}Cr_{13}Fe_{4.2}Si_{4.5}B_{2.8}$ alloys. Critical concentration was observed in the case of $Ni_{82,3}Cr_7Fe_3Si_{4.5}B_{3.2}$ alloy. The influence of the alloying element is reflected in the increasing resistance of the protective film. XPS analysis confirms that the protection film on the $Ni_{92{\cdot}3}Si_{4.5}B_{32}$ alloy was NiS which is less protective than that formed on Cr containing alloys. The corrosion rate of $Ni_{82,3}Cr_7Fe_3Si_{4.5}B_{3.2}$ and $Ni_{75.5}Cr_{13}Fe_{4.2}Si_{4.5}B_{2.8}$. alloys containing 7% and 13% Cr are $7.90-26.1{\times}10^{-3}$ mm/y which is lower about 43-54 times of the alloy $Ni_{92{\cdot}3}Si_{4.5}B_{32}$ (free of Cr). The high resistance of $Ni_{75.5}Cr_{13}Fe_{4.2}Si_{4.5}B_{2.8}$ alloy at the very aggressive media may due to thicker passive film of $Cr_2O_3$ which hydrated to hydrated chromium oxyhydroxide.
The magnetostriction and stress of multilayer $NiFeCr/(Cu/Co_{90}Fe_{10}){\times}N/NiFeCr$ films were investigated. As the number of Cu $15{\AA}$/CoFe $15{\AA}$ bilayers was increased, the saturation magnetostriction decreased from $-5.6\times10^{-6}$ at 2 bilayers to $-8.5\times10^{-6}$ at 20 bilayers. A change of CoFe thickness from 10 to $20{\AA}$ caused a decrease in the magnitude of tensile stress from 980MPa to 590MPa as the number of Cu $15{\AA}$/CoFe $15{\AA}$ bilayers increased from 2 to 20. The maximum magnetostrictive anisotropy field that could be developed due to nonzero magnetostriction and stress is calculated to be 135.7 Oe when the number of Cu $15{\AA}$/CoFe $15{\AA}$ bilayers is 10.
The temperature dependence of DC magnetic susceptibilities of three austenitic Fe-Cr-Ni stainless alloys were measured in the temperature range of 4.2 and 300 K. Two alloys support a general magnetic description of austen-itic stsinless steels in terms of a two-magnetic-phase (spin glass + superparamagnetic cluster) model and one alloy shows magnetic double transition phenomena. Also this study shows that incressing the Ni/Cr ratio in Fe-Cr-Ni alloys causes a increase of the DC susceptibility peak value and a decrease of the magnetic transition temperature.

The electronic structures of $TCr_2O_4$ (T = Fe, Co, Ni) spinel oxides have been investigated by employing synchrotron radiation-based soft X ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS). The measured 2p XAS spectra of transition-metal ions reveal that Cr ions are trivalent ($Cr^{3+}$), and all the T (T = Fe, Co, Ni) ions are divalent ($Fe^{2+}$, $Co^{2+}$, $Ni^{2+}$). It is also found that most of T (T = Fe, Co, Ni) ions occupy the A sites under the tetrahedral symmetry, while Cr ions occupy mainly the B sites under the octahedral symmetry. These findings show that the structures of $TCr_2O_4$ (T = Fe, Co, Ni) are very close to the normal spinel structures. Based on these findings, it is expected that Jahn-Teller (JT) effects are important in $FeCr_2O_4$ and $NiCr_2O_4$. In contrast, $CoCr_2O_4$ maintains the cubic structure without having the JT distortion since both $Cr^{3+}$ and $Co^{2+}$ ions are non-JT ions. This work suggests that the antiferromagnetic interaction between $Cr^{3+}$ and $T^{2+}$ ions plays an important role in determining the magnetic properties of $TCr_2O_4$ (T = Fe, Co, Ni).
This research examines the effect of adding aluminum on the structural, phasic, and magnetic properties of CoCrFe NiMnAlx high-entropy alloys. To this aim, the arc-melt process was used under an argon atmosphere for preparing cast samples. The phasic, structural, and magnetic properties of the samples were characterized by x-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and vibrational magnetometry (VSM) analyses. Based on the results, the addition of aluminum to the compound caused changes in the crystalline structure, from FCC solid solution in the CoCrFeNiMn sample to CoCrFeNiMnAl BBC solid solution. It was associated with changes in the magnetic property of CoCrFeNiMnAlx high-entropy alloys, from paramagnetic to ferromagnetic. The maximum saturation magnetization for the CoCrFeNiMnAl casting sample was estimated to be around 79 emu/g. Despite the phase stability of the FCC solid solution with temperature, the solid solution phase formed in the CrCrFeNiMnAl high-entropy compound was not stable, and changed into FCC solid solution with temperature elevation, causing a reduction in saturation magnetization to about 7 emu/g.

The precipitation behaviors of ${\gamma}"(Ni_3Nb)$ in four Ni-base alloys were investigated. The four alloys were forged Ni20Cr20Fe5Nb alloy, mechanically alloyed Ni20Cr20Fe5Nb alloy, IN 718 alloy and ECAPed(equal channel angular pressing) IN 718 alloy. Aging treatment was employed at either $600^{\circ}C$ or $720^{\circ}C$ for 20 hrs. The TEM observation and hardness test were performed to identify the formation of ${\gamma}"$. The precipitation of ${\gamma}"$ was noticed after aging at $600^{\circ}C$ for 20 hrs in the mechanically alloyed Ni20Cr20Fe5Nb alloy and ECAPed IN 718 alloy, while it was observed after aging at $720^{\circ}C$ for 20 hrs in the forged Ni20Cr20Fe5Nb alloy and IN 718 alloy before ECAP. The lower aging temperature for ${\gamma}"$ precipitation in the mechanically alloyed Ni20Cr20Fe5Nb alloy and ECAPed IN 718 alloy than in the forged Ni20Cr20Fe5Nb alloy and IN 718 alloy before ECAP appeared to be due to the severe plastic deformation which occurred during mechanical alloying or ECAP.

As a part of assessment of the structural material for the molten salt handling system, corrosion behavior of austenitic alloys, Fe-base and Ni-base in the molten salt of $LiCl-Li_2O_2$ was investigated in the range of temperature; 650~$725^{\circ}C$, time; 24- 168h, $Li_2O$; 3wt%, mixed gas; Ar-10%$O_2$. In the molten salt of $LiCl-Li_2O_2$, Ni-base alloys showed higher corrosion resistance than Fe-base alloys. Fe-base alloy with low Fe and high Ni contents exhibited better corrosion resistance. The scales of $Cr_2O_3$, $FeCr_2O_4$ on Fe-base alloys were showed, and $Cr_2O_3$, $NiFe_2O_4$ on Ni-base alloys were also showed.

In this paper, we studied the magnetic composite sheets for electromagnetic wave noise absorber of quasi-microwave band by using soft magnetic FeSiCr and Fe50Ni flakes with the thickness of about $1{\mu}m$ and polymer. The magnetic hysteresis curve including saturation magnetization and residual magnetization and the complex permeability characteristics of the composite sheets were investigated to clarify the mixing effect on electromagnetic wave absorption properties. The saturation magnetization was decreased about 10% while the residual magnetization was increased about 15% and the real parts of complex permeability at below 500 MHz were increased 0.6~4 while those values at above 500 MHz were decreased 0.4~2.5 according to the change of contents of FeSiCr and Fe50Ni powders. As a result, the reflection loss can be moved to the lower frequency from 2~3 GHz to 1~1.5 GHz as the contents of Fe50Ni flaky powder into FeSiCr flaky powder was increased up to 50%.
In general, the concentration of constituents can be more accurately measured in x-ray fluorescence analysis of Fe-Ni-Cr alloy by reducing and correcting the matrix effect with standard ingot samples. Because of the difficult the treatment at a high temperature in preparing the ingot samples of various concentrations, several standard specimens were prepared by mixing the powders of the metallic oxides in certain proportions and pressing them with a costant pressure. With the metallic oxide specimens thus obtained, different matrix coefficients were calculate from the intensities of the strength of the x-ray fluorescence and the concentration of the substances. It is found that effects of Fe and Cr on Ni are absorption rich and effects of Fe and Ni on Cr are enhancement rich, whereas Ni enhances Fe Fluorescence but Cr absorves Fe K${\alpha}$ line. And the x-ray fluorescence intensities were compared and analyzed between the metallic oxides and the ingot samples.
The phase separation in ferrite phase of duplex stainless steel is the primary cause of thermal aging embrittlement of the LWR primary pressure boundary components. In this study the phase separation of simulated duplex stainless steel was detected by Mossbauer spectroscopy and magnetic property analysis by VSM(Vibrating Specimen Magnetometer). The simulated duplex stainless steels, Fe-Cr binary, Fe-Cr-Ni ternary, and Fe-Cr-Ni-Si quarternary allots, were aged at 370 and 40$0^{\circ}C$ up to 5,340 hours. It was observed from Mossbauer spectra analysis that internal magnetic field increases with aging time and from VSM that the specific saturation magnetization and Curie temperature increase with aging time. These result are indicative that phase separation into Fe-rich region and Cr-rich region is caused by thermal aging in the temperature range of 370~40$0^{\circ}C$ In cases of specimens containing Ni, the increase of specific saturation magnetization is much higher. This implies that Ni seems to promote Fe-Cr interdiffusion, which accelerates the phase separation into Fe-rich $\alpha$ phase and Cr-rich $\alpha$' phase.
