"The Independent" first published in 1896 were monumental newspaper. "The Independent" were official organs of Independence Association. Foreign perception of the newspaper is anti Chinese, anti Russian, pro-Japan, pro-American. "The Independent" has criticized China and Russia that was Brutal developing countries of the invasion of Korea's sovereignty and to seize profits. The other side, "The Independent" has prised America and Japan that was unforgettable benefactor countries helped Korea's independence and have achieved Westernization exemplary developed countries.

Attempts to relax cross-media ownership have been made by conservative Party and leading dailies. A concern with the cross-ownership of media is predominant in media and political spheres. This article is about the media market concentration created by cross-media ownership. This essay is a response to the demand of the ruling camp that attempts to concentrate on media market, and to increase their influence. I have outlined issues of cross ownership. The finding of this research supported the rationale of ban on cross ownership of newspaper and broadcasting outlet.

It has been asserted that information technology (IT) is being exploited by a number of corporations for strategic advantage. The successful implementation of an organization-wide IT, however, not only depends on its strategic and technological feasibility, but also on the effectiveness of organizational transformation strategies. In this case, the organizational transformation strategy and its success for the adoption of computerized typesetting systems (CTS) by one of the largest Korean newspaper companies, are described With an analysis on the Korean newspaper industry, the case explains the internal and external pressure towards the introduction of the new information technology and its development process. It also provides the architecture and operational mechanism of the CTS. Finally, the case analyzes the impact of the system on the competitive behaviors of the rivals in the industry.

In the current analysis, we examine news coverage data widely used in media studies. News coverage data is usually time series data to capture the volume or the tone of the news media's coverage of a topic. We first describe the distributional properties of autoregressive conditionally heteroscadestic(ARCH) effects and compare two major American newspaper's coverage of U.S.-North Korea relations. Subsequently, we propose a change point detection model and apply it to the detection of major change points in the tone of American newspaper coverage of U.S.-North Korea relations.

Crude enzymes of Trichoderma viride and Phanerochaete chrysosporium were evaluated for their effect to brightness and physical properties of recycled pulp from newspaper and corrugated container board. The brightness of recycled pulp from newspaper increased with crude enzymes from Trichoderma viride and Phanerochaete chrysosporium. The brightness of recycled pulp of corrugated container board increased with crude enzyme from Phanerochaete chrysosporium, but decreased with crude enzyme from Trichoderma viride. The Δbrightness with chemical bleaching of crude enzyme treated pulp was lower than that of heat killed enzyme treated pulp, but the final brightness of pulp was increased. Modification of recycled paper with crude enzymes can result in a substantial increase in physical properties with little no loss in pulp freeness.

This study was carried out to utilize old newspaper(ONP) and paper sludge more effectively, and also to elucidate the influences of pressing conditions on the medium density fiberboard(MDF) properties. MDFs were made from ONP and low grade of paper sludge by wet process with change of pressing time, temperature and pressure. MDFs of ONP were more affected by pressing conditions, especially pressing pressure, but temperature and pressing time were also important. According to mixing paper sludge to ONP tensile and bending strength of MDF were decreased, but density and dimensional stability were improved. These results indicated that some physical properties of MDF can be improved by paper sludge and it is possible to use it in MDF.

Purpose: The paper presents research that examine relationship difference education quality, satisfaction, loyalty in university education sector. Specifically, the effects of difference education quality on student satisfaction and loyalty in the context of education quality are examined. Methods: A model of difference education quality effect on student satisfaction and loyalty is introduced and tested in the university using student perceptions of provider. Questionnaire was developed, and data was collected and analyzed for this study with SEM(Structural Equation Modeling). Results: The results are as follows: Education capability, BNIE(Business Newspaper In Education) are significantly influenced on student satisfaction. In addition, student satisfaction is significantly influence on external customer satisfaction, professor image. Professor image is significantly influence on student loyalty. Conclusion: Upon learning of student need and want, professor can focus on development of difference education quality based on student need and want.

Newsprint is quantitatively the most important printing paper. The demands for its printability are continuously increasing. It is well known that the relationship between the physically tested paper properties and newspaper printability is unsatisfactory. In order to improve the printing quality of Korean newsprint, the printability coefficients such as maximum ink requirement($Y_{max}$), print through were investigated. Kinds of Korean newspapers and three kinds of news printing inks were tested by IGT printability tester. Experiment condition of IGT printability tester was 14 steps between $0.2{\sim}2.8g/m^2$ of ink requirement, printing pressure was .200 N and printing velocity was 1m/sec. The properties of newspaper samples(basis weight, bulk density, roughness, smoothness, porosity, i. e.) were examined in accordance with KS and TAPPI standard testing methods. The result of this study are respected for usefulness printing quality management of Korean newsprint.

The purpose of this study was to use content analysis for the periodic trend of newspapers regarding disabled children in the 1960s (1961, 1962), 1980s (1981, 1982) and 2000s (2001,2002), at intervals of 20 years with the Year of World Disabled People (1981) as the basic point. The results showed that the number of articles was increasing. Topics such as 'medical rehabilitation'. or 'educational environment' were emphasized in the 1960s, 'the environment for social awareness' in the 1980s, and 'educational environment' and 'environment for social awareness' in the 2000s. As for the types of disability, general disability, physical disability, sight impairment, hearing impairment, and other disabilities were covered, but the range of coverage was not comprehensive. The framing pattern followed the trend of the times, with marginal flaming on the decline and diverse framing on the rise. The tones of the articles were positive on the whole.
