In this study, recently developed swarm intelligence algorithm called Social Spider Optimization (SSO) approach and its enhanced version of SSO algorithm with spider jump techniques is used to develop a structural optimization technique for steel space structures. The improved version of SSO uses adaptive randomness probability in generating new solutions. The objective function of the design optimization problem is taken as the weight of a steel space structure. Constraints' functions are implemented from American Institute of Steel Construction-Load Resistance factor design (AISC-LRFD) and Ad Hoc Committee report and practice which cover strength, serviceability and geometric requirements. Three steel space structures are optimized using both standard SSO and SSO with spider jump (SSO_SJ) algorithms and the results are compared with those available in the literature in order to investigate the performance of the proposed algorithms.

Recently, a new version of expansiveness which is closely attached to some certain weak version of hyperbolicity was given for $C^1$ vector fields as following: a $C^1$ vector field X will be called rescaling expansive on a compact invariant set ${\Lambda}$ of X if for any ${\epsilon}$ > 0 there is ${\delta}$ > 0 such that, for any $x,\;y{\in}{\Lambda}$ and any time reparametrization ${\theta}:{\mathbb{R}}{\rightarrow}{\mathbb{R}}$, if $d({\varphi}_t(x),\,{\varphi}_{{\theta}(t)}(y)){\leq}{\delta}{\parallel}X({\varphi}_t(x)){\parallel}$ for all $t{\in}{\mathbb{R}}$, then ${\varphi}_{{\theta}(t)}(y){\in}{\varphi}_{(-{\epsilon},{\epsilon})}({\varphi}_t(x))$ for all $t{\in}{\mathbb{R}}$. In this paper, some equivalent definitions for rescaled expansiveness are given.

Information network technologies introduce a new education environment. Cyber education is growing rapidly as a field of practice especially in distance education system. The development of multimedia environment based on such technology as graphics, image, voice, and video, personal computer systems use has become the media for interactive teaching-teaming service. These features have made integrated multimedia education feasible. This research suggested a direction for the development of an interactive distance education system. I have developed an education system which cooperate problem bank and learning system. This system support arbitration of the relative difficulty in the problem bank database. An ongoing version of this research was evaluated. Those findings reveal several factors that influence how the proposed system can be tailored to the students' perspectives in order to come up with the enhanced version of this system.

For the first time ever in its history, the United States has a national version for K-12 mathematics programs, the Com-mon Core State Standards for Mathematics. Since its final version appeared in 2010 in the United States, the Common Core State Standards have started getting much attention from the Korean mathematics and mathematics education communities. Although attempts have been made to translate the original text of the stan-dards, the information such as the paradigm shift that led to the development of the standards, design principles and a comparison with the NCTM Standards would aid understating the standards in the intended way and avoiding unnecessary confusion.

This study suggests efficient production of game with spine tool that is 2D game tool. For this, the researcher studies process and efficiency of game development by focusing on production of a game "Shooting Monster" Version 1 in service of Google Store at present. Production tools in a contents field are sharply changed. In addition, these tools are automatized into new version and efficient product. These tools help manufacturers in increasing quality of contents and time efficiency. Therefore, the researcher examines understanding of development process of existing 2D game and problems in development stage of graphic character, and analyzes production stage of character animation using spine tool, so suggests effective process of production in terms of production. The purpose of this study is to suggest the direction about graphic efficiency of tool by accessing production process to train working-level talented people in 2D mobile game field.

In [8], Rosenfeld's digital ($k_0,\;k_1$)-continuity was introduced and another was also established in terms of the preservation of ${k_i}-connectedness,\;i\;{\in}\;\{0,\;1\}$ [2, 3]. In this paper a new version of digital ($k_0,\;k_1$)-continuity for images in $Z^n$ is referred, which is proved to be an extended version of the formers [2, 3, 8]. The current digital ($k_0,\;k_1$)-continuity is derived from the notion of n kinds of digital neighborhoods with some radius without any difficulties on the dimension and adjacency of an image in $Z^n$. The aim of this paper is to compare among Rosenfeld's digital continuity, the current digital continuity and Boxer's digital ($k_0,\;k_1$)-continuity.

This paper presents a contribution to parameter identification of a non-linear system using a new strategy to improve the genetic algorithm (GA) method. Since cost function plays an important role in GA-based parameter identification, we propose to improve the simple version of GA, where weights of the cost function are not taken as constant values, but varying along the procedure of parameter identification. This modified version of GA is applied to the induction motor (IM) as an example of nonlinear system. The GA cost function is the weighted sum of stator current and rotor speed errors between the plant and the model of induction motor. Simulation results show that the identification method based on improved GA is feasible and gives high precision.

We present a new, year 2011 version of the Yonsei Evolutionary Population Synthesis (YEPS 2011) model for simple stellar populations. The standard YEPS employs the most up-to-date Yonsei-Yale stellar evolutionary tracks and the BaSeL flux libraries. The spectro-photometric model data of the entire parameter space are available at http://web.yonsei.ac.kr/cosmic/data/YESP.htm.

A human version of Korean total artificial heart(TAM) was designed basso on the magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) data To obtain accurate measurement or human thoracic structure including the valvular sited we analyzed the dimensions of the natural heart of healthy persons and cardiomyopathy(CM) patients. The MRI findings were analyzed to measure the volume of the thoracic cavity that would be occupied by the TAM. The design upgrade of the mechanical performed was also performed with the computer aided design(CAD) system to develop a new version of Korean TAH.

복잡한 확률표본설계를 기초로 수집된 데이터를 적법하게 분석하려면 반드시 조사설계를 고려하여 통계적 추론을 전개해야한다. 만일 설계를 무시하고 분석을 하면 각종 추정량의 분산이 과소추정되면 이 결과 제 1종 오류의 확률이 매우높아진다. 본고에서는 조사데이터를 전문적으로 분석하는 소프트웨어 패키지들을 소개하고 특히 SUDAAN 7.5판 과 SAS 8판의 분석 능력들에 대한 정보를 요약한다.
