Diphencyprone (DPCP) is frequently used as a compounded preparation in dermatology for the treatment of alopecia and recalcitrant warts based on the immune reaction of skin allergy. However, DPCP is a non-recognized agent in Pharmacopoeia, because there are no criteria or analytical method for quality control of its powder and formulation. DPCP is unstable under light irradiation because as it easily decomposes to diphenylacetylene (DPA). This study aims to develop a simultaneous HPLC analytical method for analyzing DPCP and DPA in the raw materials and compounded preparation. The method required a C18 column ($250{\times}4.6mm$, $5{\mu}m$) at $40^{\circ}C$ with a mobile phase of (A) 0.01 M phosphoric acid in water and (B) acetonitrile at UV 220 nm. DPA conversion to DPCP in the powder and compounded preparations was accelerated after light exposure for 60 min. In addition, this resulted in different patterns depending on the wavelength of light and the formulation. That is, DPCP in compounded preparation was more unstable than that in the powder. However, the DPCP formulation in amber bottles was observed to remain stable, although the measured concentrations of DPCP were somewhat different from the nominal concentration of the compounded preparations. The control of the exact concentration is required for effective disease treatment, depending on the state of the patient. In conclusion, these results will be useful for the recognition of DPCP in Pharmacopoeia and new DPCP formulation development to prevent photodecomposition.

The latest study for formulation of finite element method and computation techniques has progressed widely. The classical method in the formulation of frame elements for geometrically nonlinear analysis derives the geometric stiffness directly from the governing differential equation for bending with axial force. From the computational viewpoint of this paper, the most common approach is the finite element method. Commonly, the formulation of frame elements for geometrically nonlinear structures is based on appropriate interpolation functions for the transverse and axial displacements of the member. The formulation of flexibility-based elements, on the other hand, is based on interpolation functions for the internal forces. In this paper, a new method is used to suppose that interpolation functions for the displacements from the curvatures is Lagrangian interpolation. This paper derives flexibility matrix from that displacement functions and is considered the application of it. Using the flexibility matrix, this paper apply the program considered geometrically nonlinear analysis to common problems.
The Korean Pharmaceutical Codex (KPC) analytical method of ambroxol hydrochloride and clenbuterol hydrochloride formulation is complicated and needed to carry out multiple processes during the test. To improve the low efficiency of analytical procedure that makes pharmaceutical laboratory consume much time and high cost to conduct the test of this formulation, this study was performed for simplifying the pretreatment process and optimizing conditions of the HPLC assay. The analytical procedure using HPLC was developed to establish analytical specification for ambroxol hydrochloride and clenbuterol hydrochloride formulations. The newly developed analytical method has good linearity ($R^2$ >0.999), specificity, precision (RSD<1.0%) and the recovery ranges of 98.50~101.84% for ambroxol, 98.29~101.35% for clenbuterol syrup and 98.66~101.71% for clenbuterol tablets. The LOQs were 0.204 ${\mu}g/ml$ for ambroxol, 0.021 ${\mu}g/ml$ for clenbuterol syrup and 0.073 ${\mu}g/ml$ for clenbuterol tablets. The new method was performed with commercially available samples to confirm analytical conditions and validated to be suitable for saving time and cost to control the quality of routine manufactured products. This analytical method will be used for revising the monograph of ambroxol hydrochloride and clenbuterol hydrochloride formulation in next supplement of KPC.

'EGCG(epigallocatechin gallate) rich Green Tea extract(EGTE)' was prepared by a convenient chromatographical manner using water and alcohol which was regarded as the most suitable and appropriate process for food manufacturing. The EGCG content in EGTE was estimated above 97%. Analysis of polyphenol components in green tea, i.e., catechin(C), epigallocatechin(EGC), epicatechin(EC), epigallocatechin gallate(EGCG), epicatechin gallate(ECG) and caffeine was performed by HPLC. The optimized HPLC method exhibited a good linearity of calibration curve, accuracy and precision. The long-term stability evaluation of EGTE was carried out with a powdered formulation and solution formulation by estimating the color change and measuring the EGCG content by HPLC analysis for one year. The EGCG content of the powdered EGTE stored in a transparent bottle at room temperature was retained over 97% at the end of the experimental period. The EGCG content of 0.1% water solution of EGTE stored in a transparent bottle at RT were observed to decrease below 30%, whereas that stored at $2^{\circ}C$ retained over 70%, respectively. These results suggested that a powdered formulation could be recommended for the commercialized nutraceutical product of EGTE rather than a solution formulation.

The clinical condition Amnesia causes difficulty in learning new information and the inability to recall past events. It is primarily concerned with recent memory loss. Majoon-e-Nisyan (MJN) is a polyherbal Unani formulation, present in a semi-solid form. It is widely used potent drug of the Unani System of Medicine (USM) for treating Nisyan (amnesia). In the present study polyherbal Unani formulation, MJN has been studied for its quality control and acute toxicity. Standardization (quality control) of drugs deals with drug identity, drug quality and purity determination. Standardization of MJN had been done as per the Unani pharmacopoeial parameters approved by World Health Organization (WHO) - Pharmacognostical parameters, Physico-chemical parameters, high-performance thin-layer chromatography (HPTLC), microbial load, aflatoxin, and heavy metals. Solvents and chemicals used in the study were of analytical grade and used instrument were calibrated. By conducting an acute oral toxicity study in rats, the safety of MJN was assessed. The limit test method of OECD guideline 425 was followed in the study. Results of standardization and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for preparation of MJN may serve as the standard reference in the future. The data generated in the study for the quality control of MJN proved the quality of formulation and shows that MJN is not toxic in rats following acute dosing up to 2000 mg/kg bw. The data obtained in the paper for MJN may be used as a standard guideline for preparation of the formulation which can save time, cost, and resources for future research endeavours.
Over-coating is one of the most popular engineering practices to strengthen Reinforced Concrete (RC) structures, due to the relative quickness and ease of construction. It consists of an external coat bonded to the outer surface of the structural RC element, either by the use of chemical adhesives, mechanical anchor bolts or simply mortar injection. In contrast to these constructive advantages, the numerical estimation of the bearing capacity of the strengthened reinforced concrete element is still complicated, not only for the complexity of modelling a flexible membrane or plate attached to a quasi-rigid solid, but also for the difficulties that raise of simulating any potential delamination between both materials. For these reasons, the standard engineering calculations used in the practice remain very approximated and clumsy. In this work, we propose the formulation of a new 2D solid-layer finite element capable to link a solid body with a flexible thin layer, as it were the "skin" of the body, allowing the potential delamination between both materials. In numerical terms, this "skin" element is intended to work as a transitional region between a solid body (modelled with a classical formulation of a standard quadrilateral four-nodes element) and a flexible coat layer (modelled with cubic beam element), dealing with the incompatibility of Degrees-OfFreedom between them (two DOF for the solid and three DOF for the beam). The aim of the solid-layer element is to simplify the mesh construction of the strengthened RC element being aware of two aspects: a) to prevent the inappropriate use of very small solid elements to simulate the coat; b) to improve the numerical estimation of the real bearing capacity of the strengthened element when the coat is attached or detached from the solid body.

The new RST is recently developed by the product expansion of the scattering functions in the field of acoustics. The new formulation suggests that the scattering coefficients consist of resonance, non-resonance, and their interactional components. In the scattering problems of acoustic waves, the moduli and phase of the resonance coefficient are obtained the appropriate results through the new RST. In our recent works the new RST was successfully applied to the scattering problem of electromagnetic waves for coated conducting cylinder and sphere. In this paper, the new RST is applied to the 2-dimensional scattering problem of electromagnetic waves for a homogeneous dielectric cylinder, and the numerical results are compared with the previous RST.

The purpose of this paper is to explore the factors affecting the purchase intention of new energy vehicles, utilizing the BRA and VAM models. Based on self-interest and altruism, a model for willingness to use new energy vehicles was developed. Through analysis with analytical tools such as SPSS and AMOS, we obtained the following conclusions: Perceived value, perceived entertainment, and environmental values all have a significant positive impact on the purchase intention of new energy vehicles; Perceived risk has a negative impact on purchase intention. By conducting this research, useful suggestions can be made for the formulation of enterprise strategies, and new directions and inspirations can be provided for enterprises.

The paper proposes a new formulation of the output feedback pole assignment problem. In this formulation, a unified approach is presented for solving the pole assignment problem with various additional objectives. These objectives include optimizing a variety of performance indices, and imposing constraints on the output feedback matrix structure, e.g. decentralized structure. Conditions for the existence of the output feedback are discussed. However, the thrust of the paper is on the development of a convergent pole assignment algorithm. It is shown that when exact pole assignment is not possible, the method can be used to place the poles close to the desired locations. Examples are provided to illustrate the method.
The finite element based lattice Boltzmann method (FELBM) has been developed to model complex fluid domain shapes, which is essential for studying fluid-structure interaction problems in commercial nuclear power systems, for example. The present study addresses a new finite element formulation of the lattice Boltzmann equation using a general weighted residual technique. Among the weighted residual formulations, the collocation method, Galerkin method, and method of moments are used for finite element based Lattice Boltzmann solutions. Different finite element geometries, such as triangular, quadrilateral, and general six-sided solids, were used in this work. Some examples using the FELBM are studied. The results were compared with both analytical and computational fluid dynamics solutions.
