사회적 가치 실현을 위한 디자인의 접근 사례 (Approach case design for achieve the social values)

  • 현대적 관점의 디자인은 기업의 경제적 이윤창출을 목적으로 생산능률의 향상을 위한 디자인이나 판매 촉진을 위한 스타일링에 초점을 맞췄던 과거의 개념에서 변화하였다. '인간중심 디자인'으로 디자인이 시장과 자본의 원리뿐만 아니라 전통이나 문화에 적합한 인간 중심의 디자인, 문화중시의 디자인으로 나아가 사회적, 윤리적 책임과 가치가 함께 하는 디자인으로 향상되어 발전되어지고 있다. 이러한 현재의 디자인은 개인과 사회에서 만들어지고 습득된 문화에 기반을 두고 잠재되거나 표출된 사회적 가치를 중시하는 디자인의 결과물이며 이를 제공하는 디자이너의 책무로 여겨지기도 한다. 디자인의 사회적 영향에 대한 고려와 함께 검토되어야 하는 '디자인의 사회적 가치'실현을 위해 첫째, 소외되었으나 간과되어서는 안되는 이들을 위한 인간중심의 디자인과 둘째, 지역과 상황에 적합하며 지역사회 발전에 공헌하는 문화중심의 디자인과 셋째, 익숙한 아이디어들 선선한 패러다임으로 대체한 사용성 중심의 디자인에 대해 예시하였다. 이는 디자인이 갖는 가능과 의미를 목적적인 관점에서 제시하여 사회적 문제와 인간을 위한 방법을 디자인의 '문제의 발견'과 '문제해결 능력'에서 찾아 차후 사회적 가치의 실현과 확산에 대한 연구로 진행될 것이다.

현대패션의 관점에서 본 디지털 페이스디자인 (Digital Face Design with Reference to Contemporary Fashion)

  • 패션산업의 디지털 혁신을 배경으로 한 본 연구는 소셜 미디어를 통해 이미 전 세계 많은 사용자들을 확보하며 패션산업에까지 영향을 미친 디지털 기반의 페이스디자인에 대하여 연구하였다. 이에 증강현실 기반의 디지털 페이스디자인의 대표적 사례들을 유형화하고 이를 관통하는 지향 가치를 도출함으로써 향후 패션산업의 전개 방향에 대한 미래 비전을 제시하고자 하는 목적을 갖는다. 인스타그램과 페이스북을 통해 대중에게 디지털 필터 기반의 페이스디자인을 제공하는 3D 디자이너 작품들을 연구대상으로 분석하였다. 사례 탐색을 통해 현대패션의 관점에서 디지털 페이스디자인의 지향 가치를 관찰한 결과 실험적 조형 지향, 유희적 경험 지향, 미래적 기술 지향 등의 세 가지 경향이 도출되었다. 본 연구는 디지털 기반의 페이스디자인으로 범위를 한정한 것이나, 이를 통해 나타난 결론들은 패션의 전 분야에 적용될 수 있는 사항들이다. 이에 앞으로 페이스디자인의 범위를 넘어선 디지털 증강현실 기반의 패션디자인과 패션커뮤니케이션 관련의 새로운 현상에 대한 연구를 기대할 수 있다.

현대 패션에 표현된 패치워크 퀼트기법 유형의 표현특성에 관한 연구 (Study on Expression Characteristic of Patchwork Quilt Technique Type Expressed in Modern Fashion)

  • Modern society has been transformed into a digital emotional society that could gradually be seen, felt, and enjoyed by the diversification of personal consumption desires due to digital development. Accordingly, in fashion, an original fashion sense that arose out of classical and conventional thinking has become important and there is an increasing interest in patchwork quilts. The purpose of this study lies in contributing to the development and utilization of creative and emotional fashion design by expanding the mental changes that have emerged in modern society to creative areas after analyzing the classification and expression characteristics of the type cases of patchwork quilt techniques expressed in modern fashion. In addition, it is meaningful to examine how the expressive characteristics of patchwork quilts are expressed in the digital emotion era. This study paralleled literature research and empirical case studies. In the scope and method of research, the theatrical research was centered on literature data. For visual data, website photos were collected, limited to women's clothing among the collections from Fall & Winter 2014 to Spring & Summer 2017. After drawing the expression types of patchwork quilts extracted from the previous research based on the design formative factors, the fashion-related expert group analyzed the expressive characteristics of 501 photographs in which the patchwork quilt of the designer clothing collection were reflected. As a result of analysis, the expressive types appeared in the order of diversification of techniques and materials, extended dual images, new formative composition, and reconstruction of traditional patchwork. In this study, the expressive characteristics of patchwork quilts expressed in contemporary fashion are analyzed and drawn as variability, compromise, convergence, and playfulness. Through this, it is hoped that this study can be used variously in the development of fashion design by expanding the interpretation of costume culture.

한류 K-패션 활성화를 위한 전략 분석 연구 (An Analysis of a Strategy for the Activation of Korean Wave K-Fashion)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the characteristics and development direction of K-fashion and to systematize the strategic features performed by government agencies, fashion associations, fashion companies, and other companies to activate K-fashion. This research analyzed K-fashion related articles published in major newspapers and magazines in Korea from the late 1990s to early 2017. The results of the study are as follows. 1. The characteristics of K-fashion are as follows: The first is a trendy and sophisticated design with modern sensibilities, unique designs that reinterpret the latest trends with designer creativity, practical and popular designs that ordinary people can wear comfortably in everyday life. The second is functional and trendy materials. The third is excellent sewing technology. The fourth is rapid turnover of products by quick connections among planning, production and sales. The fifth is a lower price than quality. 2. The direction for K-fashion to pursue was the continuous and ongoing development of the above characteristics and the creation of a 'design with the Korean emotion of its 5,000 year history'. 3. The following projects were carried out to promote K-fashion. 1) Utilization of K-pop, K-drama and other Korean wave content. (1) Holding a fashion concert event that combines Idol's K-Pop performances with fashion shows. (2) Hallyu (Korean wave) star's costume support and design collaboration with Hallyu stars. (3) Collaboration between entertainment companies and fashion companies. 2) Nurturing a global fashion branding project. 3) Business support for overseas expansion of the K-fashion brand. (1) Support project for foreign trade fair participation. (2) Holding a fashion brand fair in Korea. (3) Overseas business support by establishing a showroom and design center 4) Business to discover and nurture new designers

액션어드벤쳐게임 컷신을 위한 UCD 디자인 연구 (A Study on User-Centered Design for Cut-scene in Action-Adventure Games)

  • 최근 게임시장은 게임제작과정과 게임디자인 분야의 많은 발전에 의하여 게임 상 컷씬(cut-scene)의 디자인 스타일과 완성도 또한 지속적인 발전을 이루고 있다. 따라서 항상 게임 디자이너들은 여러 디자인 방향성에서 보다 쉬운 인지와 인기 있는 디자인을 얻으려는 노력을 한다. 그러나 개발자에 의존한 디자인 전략은 최종 디자인결과물이 게임플레이어에게 사랑 받고 있는지 성과여부를 판단 할 수 없게 되며 모든 면에서 빠르게 변화하는 게임시장의 요구를 충족 할 수 없다. 또한 디자인 최종 완성도와 같은 어려운 절차들은 게임 컷씬 장면의 제작 및 이용을 어렵게 한다. 따라서 본 연구는 사용자 중심 디자인(UCD) 바탕의 비디오 게임 속 컷씬 디자인방법을 제시하여 제작환경에서 원작의 느낌을 훼손하지 않으면서 디자이너가 전하고자 하는 메시지를 더욱 부각시키고 흥미를 이끌어 몰입감을 높이는데 도움이 될 것이다.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the works of choreographer Philippe $Decoufl{\acute{e}}$ and the performance costumes designer Philippe Guillotel, and identify the intrinsic values shown in the formative characteristics in their works. And it proposes a vision and a direction for the development and performance of modern fashion phenomenon of media convergence performing arts complex. The results were as follows. First, the performance characteristics shown in Philippe $Decoufl{\acute{e}}$'s art pattern applies dynamic improvisation, decategorization reflected in the media interactivity, time and space of a variable scalability, complex artistic genres and transcends cultural boundaries. Second, the characteristics of the performance costume can be described as a co-existence between dynamics of aesthetic layers, 'Media body' represented by the interaction of the compounds with the technology, and integrated variable expandability. And aesthetic values inherent in the performance costumes are summarized as abstraction, playfulness, reproducibility, and theatricality. Modern fashion performance and limited production of the center 'costumes' in the fashion images can be used in diverse ways, and innovative marketing has gone through a change in image production. Metaphysical text of the advanced performance genre can be presented in a new perspective to fashion derivatives 'Media body'. And the aesthetics of popular culture kitsch, the grotesque, and surrealism in theater will produce creative stage direction.

컨셉추얼 아트의 조형적 특징이 반영된 현대패션에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Contemporary Fashion based on Characteristics of Conceptual Art)

  • Contemporary fashion design has been made a new attempt to extend restricted expressions through fusion with other genres in art. The recognition of fashion has recently been changed not only product but as a piece of work in specific value, concept and meaning created by fashion designer. It is observed that the contemporary fashion design has a notion to persue formative intentions and manners of Conceptual Art in Post-modern era. This study is to define this region of fashion design represented in cultural phenomena as 'Conceptual Fashion', also analyze the formative feature of this from a point of view in Conceptual art. The results which are analyzed according to outward techniques and forms, meanings and elements immanent in aesthetic contemplation of conceptual fashion lead to four distinctive things in such as anti-form, intervention and appropriation, metaphor and detour, process and series. The intrinsic values in conceptual fashion through aesthetic contemplation are indicated the four significant values in the following: the pluralistic interpretation, the parody and amusement, the pursuit of essence and truth and the participation and interaction. Conceptual fashion design is appeared complex not doing separate through classified formative features previously. And It has been evolved as a indeterminate concept which is able to variable elucidation by a non-player, as a instrument for communication on fashion culture which is aggrandized. The purpose of this study is to present of theoretical foundation about Conceptual fashion design and also to make proper understanding about interrelationship between contemporary fashion and art.

Steady-State/Transient Performance Simulation of the Propulsion System for the Canard Rotor Wing UAV during Flight Mode Transition

  • A steady-state/transient performance simulation model was newly developed for the propulsion system of the CRW (Canard Rotor Wing) type UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) during flight mode transition. The CRW type UAV has a new concept RPV (Remotely Piloted Vehicle) which can fly at two flight modes such as the take-off/landing and low speed forward flight mode using the rotary wing driven by engine bypass exhaust gas and the high speed forward flight mode using the stopped wing and main engine thrust. The propulsion system of the CRW type UAV consists of the main engine system and the duct system. The flight vehicle may generally select a proper type and specific engine with acceptable thrust level to meet the flight mission in the propulsion system design phase. In this study, a turbojet engine with one spool was selected by decision of the vehicle system designer, and the duct system is composed of main duct, rotor duct, master valve, rotor tip-jet nozzles, and variable area main nozzle. In order to establish the safe flight mode transition region of the propulsion system, steady-state and transient performance simulation should be needed. Using this simulation model, the optimal fuel flow schedules were obtained to keep the proper surge margin and the turbine inlet temperature limitation through steady-state and transient performance estimation. Furthermore, these analysis results will be used to the control optimization of the propulsion system, later. In the transient performance model, ICV (Inter-Component Volume) model was used. The performance analysis using the developed models was performed at various flight conditions and fuel flow schedules, and these results could set the safe flight mode transition region to satisfy the turbine inlet temperature overshoot limitation as well as the compressor surge margin. Because the engine performance simulation results without the duct system were well agreed with the engine manufacturer's data and the analysis results using a commercial program, it was confirmed that the validity of the proposed performance model was verified. However, the propulsion system performance model including the duct system will be compared with experimental measuring data, later.

인터넷을 활용한 대중협업에 의한 디자인 가능성 연구 - 사용자 참여 웹사이트와 문헌 연구 - (Towards to Collective Design Activity through Mass Collaboration: A Review of Relevant Websites and Articles)

  • 본 논문은 온라인 참여를 통한 문제 해결 기법이 널리 활용되고 있음에 따라, HCI영역의 한 부분인 디자인행위가 온라인 시스템 기반의 대중협업기법(Mass Collaboration)을 통해 이루어질 수 있는지 여부를 탐색한 연구에 관한 논문이다. 문헌 연구와 온라인 웹사이트를 수집 분석한 결과, 디자인 행위의 주요 프로세스에 기반하여 비교하였을 때, 디자인 행위가 온라인 참여행위를 통해 수행이 가능할 것으로 예측되었다. 이러한 참여는 Web 2.0의 발전을 통해 많은 수의 대중들이 의사 개진과 의사 결정을 하는데 유용한 도구를 활용할 수 있게 된 덕분으로 풀이된다. 그러나 단순히 일반 참여자가 대중참여기법을 활용한다고 하더라도 전문 디자이너의 디자인 참여와 동일한 결과를 얻을 수 없을 것이라는 결과도 나타났다. 이는 전문가 영역의 문제 해결이 대중들의 판단과는 다른 경험과 전문성을 갖고 있어야 정확한 결과를 낼 확률이 늘어나는 것으로 해석되었다.

한국 전통문양을 응용한 넥타이 텍스타일디자인 연구 (Study on Necktie Textile Design with Korean Traditional Motives)

  • Since the use of textile has become more extensive and applied for various products, today, the importance of utility, ornament and civilization of textile is emphasized. Textile design should be able to satisfy the designer's creativity and his/her world of art. Moreover, it should be appropriate for the industrial technology circumstances, and taste of consumers. In Korea, traditional culture has been extremely valued, allowing people to be more interested in textile designs derived from traditional cultural. Therefore, designs inspired by the spirit and sense of traditional patterns has been used to develop modern textile designs. Prior research on products, however, show that cultural motive was insufficient, therefore, in this research the purpose is to design textiles and to develop Korean neckties, an essential component of men's attire, by adapting Korean traditional patterns. In order to conduct the research, first, numerous parers on Korean traditional patterns have been studied to select fundamental data about the development of necktie textile designs. Second, Korean traditional patterns were applied while following the target and concept, and two pieces of necktie textile designs have been suggested. Patterns had been designed by hand drawing and CAD system, they have been suggested as a portfolio. As a result, this article suggests new necktie designs utilizing Korean traditional patterns and, attempts to develop particular pattern designs, which have power to accommodate globalization and to express the special qualities of Korea.
