  • On the matter in line with NCW(Network Centric Warfare) and information age, the military is on an efficient-expanding trend as sharing with status and information promptly through the various and complex exchange of messages and the phone communication between operators, using a highly efficient operating console. The recording devices that record an operational situation to plan a new operation through the mission analysis and result reviews after finishing military operation or training are developed and operated. Recording method is classified into two groups. one is the recording of display shots, another is the recording of an exchange of messages. This study proposes the new data-oriented recording method to reduce the readiness time of replay and the improvement scheme.

  • Several protocols have been developed to efficiently utilize a great number of distributed resources. This paper investigated the background, operations and elements of SRU and SRU Record Update protocol, compared them with other protocols, and reviewed their implementation cases. The purpose of this pager is to broaden the understanding of the two new standards and to provide a practical guide to ensure their interoperability for libraries and information service centers which want to expose their own contents and to access to external resources.

  • The issue of how to manage the existing records at an archives is very important from the aspects of principle and practicality in record management since it is deeply related with the system of managing new records. Although there are a few studies on filing and criteria on organizing records, they do not often help in the actual site of record and archives management. Therefore, we need to raise the issues that could develop in actual sites and find the ways or resolving these issues, other than the general criteria proposed. Refiling is a very important task for recovering the original order and needs to be a task that should be done according to the overall system and process of record management at an archives. Furthermore, it is very important to objectify and regulate the contents and methods of the task of refiling through the refiling criteria with the content of criteria being specific. From the arguments presented until now, we could tell that refiling falls in the area of record management at an archive directly related with the department of reproducing records at public organizations. Moreover, the role of archivists relates with the task of refiling is critical. Especially, distinguishing job according to chief object is a critical issue in the status and role of archivists at record and archives institutions. This process is important not only at the level of simple job makeup but also in record management. Archivists should be responsible for preparing refiling criteria, reviewing of problems developed in job process, classifying records for refiling, reviewing and refiling of catalogs and key words, selecting equipment and tools, and establishing various forms.

  • Herein, we report a new record of Notodontidae moth, Neodrymonia marginalis (Matsumura) in Korea. This species is characterized by grayish forewing that shows thick dark grayish band between basal and antemedial line, smooth postmedial line costally with blackish crescent line, dark grayish subtermen with dark brownish thick band costally, and whitish and black dot shaped discal dot. The female genitalia can be distinguished by the broad, plate-shaped postvaginalis, strongly sclerotized ductus dursae with three long spike shaped and several small spike shaped processes, and large, ovate corpus bursae with a large fan-shaped plate signum. Neodrymonia marginalis can be distinguished from N. deliana by the shape and color of the costal part of postmedial line and subtermen of forewing. The female genitalia of N. marginalis can be distinguished from those of N. deliana by the rectangular postvaginalis and more spike like processes of the anterior of ductus bursae. Up to now, four species of Neodrymonia are recorded in Korea: N. delia (Leech, 1889), N. coreana Matsumura, 1922, N. deliana Gaede, 1933, and Neodrymonia marginalis.

  • A single bothid specimen (113.9 mm in standard length) was collected by bottom trawl from southern Jejudo Island, Korea. It was easily identified as Kamoharaia megastoma (Kamohara, 1936), based on extremely large mouth. The species is characterized by maxillary extending beyond eyes, three pairs of long curved canines on lower jaw, tip of vomer projecting into mouth cavity, blackish pectoral fin, and blind side without lateral line. We described it as the first record to Korean fish fauna, and proposed the new Korean name, "Keun-ip-dung-geul-neop-chi" for this species.

  • Talipariti simile (Blume) Fryxell, Malvaceae is reported as new record from Vietnam. The plant can be differentiated from its allied species T. macrophyllum (Roxb. ex Hornem.) Fryxell in having glabrescent stems with purplish and smaller hairs, lanceolate-oblong and smaller stipules and ovoid capsules which are devoid of apicule or beaks. Taxonomic description, line drawing and color photographs have been provided to add to the species identification. Furthermore, comparison of the diagnostic characters between this species and the above mentioned related species is made.

  • Based on three scorpionfish specimens (131.8~163.4 mm SL) collected from the coastal waters of Jeju Island, we described Scorpaenopsis neglecta as the first record from Korea. They were characterized by having 12 dorsal fin spines, lacking of palatal teeth and of black pigment between the first and third dorsal fin spines, wider interorbital region than orbital diameter, no median interorbital ridge, uppermost opercular spine with multicusps, and a broad blackish band distally and numerous various sized black spots on inner side of pectoral fin. We proposed a new Korean name, "Ssol-chi-u-reug" for the species.

  • The Internet has had a significant impact on the operations of record companies and has transformed the role of music consumers. Active music consumers are regarded as not just consumers but also co-creators and innovators who create value; therefore, firms need to create environments in which they can learn from consumers. Prior studies exist on the effects of the Internet on the music business, including its structure and culture. However, these studies did not focus on exploring how the relationship between record labels and consumers changed, how networked music consumers influence value creation and how record labels are responding, and the difficulties from using and the drawbacks of interactive media and new business models in the music market. This study investigates these issues through interviews.
