Since the 1980s, the marketing paradigm has rapidly changed from product-driven marketing to customer-driven marketing. Recently, due to an increase in the amount of information, customer-differentiation strategies have been emphasized more than product-differentiation strategies. This paper suggests a methodology for new customer segmentation and purchase forecasting using changes in customer behavior. This methodology includes a segmentation method for new customers using existing customer's characteristics and a purchase-forecasting system using the purchase-behavior patterns of existing customers. The proposed methodology not only provides differential services from a segmentation system but also recommends differential items from the purchase forecasting system for new and existing customers.

Less than 3% of India's food basket, consists of processed food, therefore processed food can be viewed as an innovation or new product to Indian consumers. This research investigates the effects of product familiarity and reference groups on Indian consumers' attitudes and purchase behavior of new processed food products. For the study, the model is developed by modifying Cambel and Goodstein's (2001) "Moderate Incongruity Effect" to include important cross-cultural influences on attitudes and purchase decisions among Indian consumers. Empirical analysis was conducted through structural equation modeling (SEM). SEM results indicated that reference group influence has a stronger positive effect on consumers' attitudes and actual purchase behavior of more familiar processed foods than of less familiar processed food. In addition, attitudes have a stronger positive effect on consumers' actual purchase of more familiar than of less familiar processed foods.
This study concerns the identification of INPR process (i.e., antecedents, timeliness in new product development (NPD) and international new product rollout (INPR) and consequences) for international new product performance. It was empirically tested by a Korean sample to verify the validity of the research framework. The results show that cross-functional integration exhibited a statistically significant and positive effect on NPD timeliness. For the rapid development of new products, evidence is mounting in favor of cross-functional integration that facilitates both the quick dissemination and utilization of information. A higher level of marketing synergy was positively associated with a higher level of NPD timeliness. These findings suggest that marketing synergy plays a key role in enhancing NPD timeliness in South Korean manufacturing companies. The results also indicate that HQ-subsidiary cooperation was positively related to INPR timeliness. More comprehensive and varied information flows between HQ and subsidiary are likely to achieve product competitive advantage and then the latter may lead to international new product launch timeliness. However, technology synergy has no significant influence on NPD timeliness, implying that Korean manufacturers' managers do not recognize technology to be a major driving force, unlike Western manufacturers' managers. The findings also indicate that the positive effects of timeliness in INPR on international new product performance. It is important note that successful achievements of international new product success are likely to rely on INPR timeliness. Importantly, the results found that products developed within planned time frames are more likely to be rolled out into multi-markets on-time, resulting in higher levels of performance than when NPD completion is delayed.

SPSS 20.0 was used for data analysis. Characteristics of the new elderly (lifestyle and environmental concern), consumption status of eco t-shirts (possession status and reasons of purchase/non-purchase), purchase intention for eco tshirts, consumer needs for t-shirts (usage situation, benefits sought, and dissatisfaction with t-shirts), preference for eco t-shirts (color, pattern, material, and shape), and demographics were surveyed. Global fast fashion brands have been popular and most of them have entered the Korean market. With their success, Korean apparel companies launched domestic fast fashion brands; however, recently they have become fiercely competitive, and consumers are demanding better design and quality and cheaper prices than before. The purpose of this study is to explore consumer purchasing behavior of the global as well as domestic fast fashion brands sold in Korea and to suggest marketing strategies for the brands sold in Korea. The study includes interviewing 61 Korean consumers to ask about their purchasing behavior and experiences. This study found four themes from these in-depth interviews: 1) demand of product glocalization which considers both globalization and localization for better style, quality, and assortment plan, 2) satisfaction with the reasonable price range of fast fashion brands but dissatisfaction with price discrimination among countries, 3) importance of easy, comfortable, and convenient accessibility to fast fashion brands, and 4) preference for good brand reputation related to corporate social responsibility(CSR) and nationality. From these four themes, this study developed the four elements of the marketing mix: product, price, accessibility, and reputation to adapt to a new marketing environment that emphasizes the development of information technology, consumer-centric marketing, and corporate ethics. The findings of this research could contribute useful information to both global and domestic fashion companies as well as consumers.
Domestic corporation in High-tech industry invest huge amounts of economic resources into the Research & Development(R&D) department, especially into new product development. It might be an adequate explanation for this phenomena that as the product life cycle gets shorter, and environmental uncertainty necessitates core competency from every corporation, new product planning becomes a vital going concern for the company to keep and increase its market share This could originate from an inappropriate combination between new products and other marketing mix elements. But it could be that the main cause of these failures com from unsatisfactory customers. In the other words, R&D department failed to sufficiently recognize market needs. This could be solved through integration between marketing department R&D department This study supposes that integration between these two departments-marketing department and R&D department influences the success of new product. In other to prove this, this study examined the determinant factors which influence the integration and the relationships
Export performance has been a core topic in export marketing research. This study aims to investigate the relationship between adaptation/standardization strategies and export performance obtained after implementing each of these strategies to marketing mix variables. It is expected that the study results will help companies better understand an efficient marketing mix and applicability of adaptation/standardization approaches in their export ventures. New Zealand exporting firms which actively seek for export markets in Korea are selected for empirical analysis of this study. Adaptation and standardization are concepts that signify the level of intensity in each strategy; both have advantages and weaknesses. In the case of adaptation approach, it is shown that the difference in export performance between satisfactory and non satisfactory export ventures is statistically significant in marketing mix variables such as price, place and promotion. However, product variables affect statistical significance on export performance between satisfactory and non satisfactory export ventures in standardization approach. This study implies that when a company exports its product overseas, standardization effort is more important for product variables whereas much effort needed in adapting marketing variables such as price, place, and promotion to get satisfactory export performance.
