환경 친화적 시각에서 본 패션 미니멀리즘에 관한 연구 (A Study of Minimalism in Environment-Friendly Fashion)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze minimalism in the environment-friendly aspect and to suggest methodology of environment-friendly fashion design. The results of this study are as follows. First, it is possible to create newly fashion-designed goods by re-arranging used goods. This method is environment-friendly, in that it recycles resources and simplifies production process. It can also meet the sense of beauty of consumers by reviving the intrinsic beauty of the used goods. Second, When we produce brand new fashion-designed goods with used goods as raw materials, the new ones reflect specific characters of the used goods which originate from their own times and regions. In this way, this method can be a fashion design which accommodate multi-cultural trends. Third, it is possible to produce goods designed by inspiration from a human body. This fashion-design method includes several ways, such as usage of human body silhouette, composition of colors using natural dyeing, and usage of natural materials. Recognizing a human being as a creature interacting with the nature can broaden range of imagination in design methodology.

생태네트워크 구축을 위한 목표종 선정에 관한 연구 - 판교신도시를 사례로 - (Selecting Target Species for Urban Ecological Network Construction - Focus on Pangyo New Town -)

  • With recent emphasis on the creation of environment-friendly new towns, introduction of ecological facilities for habitation and migration of wild animal's species is requested when developing new towns. In order to introduce such facilities, building an eco-network within the site based on the connectivity of the source area and habitats is essential in new town development. Therefore, this study mainly aimed at selecting species targeted for building an eco-network in Pangyo new town, which is intended to be an environment-friendly city. Therefore, criteria for selecting target species were generated. Then, species observed within the site through field surveys and literature review was evaluated based on the selection criteria and items. By totaling the score, a list of appropriate targeted species was finalized. Among species surveyed and observed in the site, appropriate target species that may be selected for Pangyo new town's eco-network include Falco tinnunculus interstinctus, Accipiter soloensis, Picus canus, Paradoxornis webbiana, Parus palustris, Parus ater, Parus major and Passer montanus Egretta in birds, Asiatic chipmunk, Nyctereutes procyonoides in mammals. For Pangyo new town, it is essential to create living environment and build a network for major wild animal species within the site based on target species. This will play a crucial role in building a reasonable ecological network enabling harmonious co-existence between mankind and nature. In order to build an ecological network successfully, follow-up studies need to be conducted on restoration technology and methods required for creating habitats appropriate to target species.

  • Use of teaching pendant is the most widespread and economical way to teach desired motion to robots. It is also very primitive,time consuming and ineffective way of teaching which has not changed since the early days of robot. In order to reduce the teaching effor, a new efficient form of teaching is needed. Also, the recent robotics research trend into service robots such as home robot, nurse robot and medical robot calls for a new teaching method which is both easy and inexpensive. In this paper, the design and operation principle of a low cost force/moment sensor is presented. The proposed sensor architecture is so simple and inexpensive that it opens the prospect for a new paradigm of robot teaching which is easy and efficinet. Other prospective areas of application are tele-manipulation of robots wher it can be used in master arm, and virtual environment where it can be used as an user input device.

And also, whole Environment for these industries has been changing, too. Wee need another digital contents convergence for new type of products and services because of convergence of IT and broadcast. In addition, new business trends is very important about these new industrial change and developments with digital contents convergence.

Dynamic Access Control for Personalized Environment in Ubiquitous Computing

  • In an ubiquitous environment, for controlling user access according to environment of users, a number of access control models enforcing dynamic environment of users have been proposed. However, they do not support personalized environments of each user and have a run-time overhead of searching active roles. In this paper, we propose a new model, PE-RBAC, that extends the RBAC architecture by addition of a personalized environment component as a constraint to accommodate dynamic and mobile users. In this model, a dynamic role activation is presented by using a new role-to-environment structure instead of the conventional role hierarchy, which makes it efficient to find the active roles according to a user's personalized environment.

Collaboration Scaffolding in Computer-supported Collaborative Learning Environment

  • Supporting individual or group learners through designing effective learning environment has been major concern for instructional technologists. In CSCL environment, the effectiveness of learning depends not only on the design of the learning incidences but also on that of psychological environment because in CSCL the learners encounter virtually a new environment deviate from the ordinary physical world. CSCL is one of the most demanding environment for learners and thus it requires a highly refined learner support mechanisms. The purpose of the research was to devise conceptual tools for supporting learners in CSCL environment. Especially, the researchers tried to develop special kinds of scaffolding that directly support the collaborative practice in the social and psychological dimension of the learner. Body of literature on scaffolding has been reviewed and effective CSCL environments were observed and analyzed. As a result of the study, the research proposes a new type of scaffolding, named as "collaboration scaffolding" as a conceptual tool for supporting learners in CSCL environment. Also the research suggests three subtypes of scaffolds as the most typical collaboration scaffolding; emotional scaffolds, facilitative scaffolds, and exploratory scaffolds.

제조기업의 기술혁신활동과 영향요인의 구조적 관계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Structural Relations between Technological Innovation Activities of Manufacturers and Factors of Their Effects)

  • It seems required to determine what might affect the technological innovation activities of manufacturing companies and what kind of role they could play for them to carry out technological innovation activities in an effective way. The objective of the present study is thus to conduct a depth empirical analysis of the structural relations among business environment, technological innovation activities and performance of manufacturing companies. From the analysis, following outcomes could be drawn: First, with regard to the relationship between business environment and technological innovation activities of manufacturing companies, it has become clear that the external environment is a factor that can influence technological innovation activities such as management of technical property, technological innovation system as well as technical network, while it exercises no impact upon adaptation of manufacturers to new technologies. The internal environment, on the other hand, turns out to have influence on such overall factors of technological innovation activities as management of technical property, technological innovation system, adaptation to new technologies and technical network; and Second, as for the relationship between technological innovation activities and their performance, it has been obvious that management of technical property and technological innovation system, both factors of technological innovation activities, affect the performance of product development and financial achievements of manufacturing companies. Their adaptation to new technologies will also affect their performance of product development as well as financial achievements. These findings suggest that it is important for manufacturing companies to set up an operating system that may be able to upgrade the practical applicability of their technological development activities in an attempt to promote performance of their technological innovation activities.

A Study on the Development Process of New Standing Spray Designs based on the Service Design Approach

  • This study starts from the awareness of the problem that consumers are isolated from the standing spray product planning, and thus suggests effective designs and methods to the new standing spray design process. The ultimate purpose of this study is to suggest practicable new standing spray design outputs. Service design is based on customer experience, and thus it is intangible, process-centered and based on various relations. Applying the service design to the development of new standing spray designs has the following significance. (1) Service design is an effective method for maximizing customer-centered experience. The customer-centered method of service design promotes practicability of new standing spray design. (2) Service design solves various problems by mediating opinions among various stakeholders. Effective and practicable solutions could not be found for new standing spray design despite various efforts that had been made for a long time. Since each step of the process is approached separately, it is necessary to take an overview of the whole process like service design. (3) Service design lays stress on process in which stakeholders participate. Participation and collaboration among stakeholders in the new standing spray design process will improve their satisfaction and enthusiasm to implement the new system.

퍼포먼스.이벤트의 결합체로서 건축환경연구 (A Study on the Architectural Environment as a Combination of Performance and Event)

  • 전환기적 시대상황의 인식과 뉴 패러다임에 기초하여 미래 건축환경의 변화를 예측하고 그에 대응할 수 있는 건축언어와 새로운 디자인 전략을 제안하는데 본 연구의 목적이 있었으며, 그 연구내용과 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 현대 예술 속에서 공간, 인간의 신체, 그리고 움직임을 재해석하고 그 예술적 의도를 환경디자인과 결합시켜 퍼포먼스·이벤트건축의 가능성을 고찰하였다. 둘째, 건축환경은 물질들만의 집합보다는 공간, 움직임, 우연적 상황 그리고 이벤트들의 결합체로서 보았다. 또한 퍼포먼스장소로서의 환경을 이해함과 동시에 디자인 행위자체를 퍼포먼스 과정으로 제시하였다. 셋째, 인간은 환경과의 상호작용을 통해 항상 반응하며 스스로의 조절을 통해 적응하는 유기체적 시스템이다. 건축 또한 현시대의 불확정적인 인식체계와 빠르게 변화하는 사회구조, 테크놀러지의 발전과 함께 인간의 행위, 활동이 결합되어 끊임없이 변화하는 역동적 시스템으로 설명되었다. 넷째, 본 연구자는 종래 모더니즘 디자인에서의 형태와 기능의 인과론적, 기계론적 조형태도에서 벗어나 상대론 적, 유기론 적 관점을 취하과자 하였다. 특히 탈 물질적인 환경의 개념을 강조하였으며 형태와 기능의 상호 텍스트 성, 그리고 시간의 흐름 속에서 상호변화 가능성을 지원할 수 있는 탈 프로그램 방법을 제안하였다. 결과적으로 퍼포먼스·이벤트건축의 전략은 인간의 자율적 기능의 회복과 예술로서의 환경을 어느 정도 가능하게 할 수 있는 개념이라고 보았으며, 시스템적 세계관으로의 전환을 강조하였다.

  • The aim of this study is to understand and redefine the nature of architectural environment within the paradigm of natural science. The chaos theory non-equilibrium thermodynamics theory self-organization of modern physics offer new insights to explain not only natural phenomena but also to define creative and dynamic architectural environment. First natural laws in modern physics like the arrow of time but is related not only with certainty but also possibility so nature is understood as a constantly changing process of evolution. Second the new architectural environment is defined as a kind of fluid and irreducible organic biosytem that cannot be fully understood by modernist idea of architecture. It is conceived of as a fluid constantly changing self-oraganizing system that consists of different situations events movements and programs in uncertain and irreducible time frame. Third insights and implications of natural science offer new language and strategy for design and the two disciplines can be understood as interdependent and co-evolving
