  • This paper presents the neuro-fuzzy classifier derived from the generic model of a 3-layer fuzzy perceptron and developed the classification software based on the neuro-fuzzl model. Also, a comparison of the neuro-fuzzy and maximum-likelihood classifiers is presented in this paper. The Airborne Multispectral Scanner(AMS) imagery of Tae-Duk Science Complex Town were used for this comparison. The neuro-fuzzy classifier was more considerably accurate in the mixed composition area like "bare soil" , "dried grass" and "coniferous tree", however, the "cement road" and "asphalt road" classified more correctly with the maximum-likelihood classifier than the neuro-fuzzy classifier. Thus, the neuro-fuzzy model can be used to classify the mixed composition area like the natural environment of korea peninsula. From this research we conclude that the neuro-fuzzy classifier was superior in suppression of mixed pixel classification errors, and more robust to training site heterogeneity and the use of class labels for land use that are mixtures of land cover signatures.

  • It has been shown that the structure identification of a neuro-fuzzy model improves their accuracy performances in a various modeling problems. In this paper, we claim that the structure identification of a neuro-fuzzy model can also reduce the degree of inconsistency of its fuzzy rulebase. Thus, the resulting neuro-fuzzy model serves as more like a structured knowledge representation scheme. For this, we briefly review a structure identification method of a neuro-fuzzy model and propose a systematic method to measure inconsistency of a fuzzy rulebase. The proposed method is applied to problems or fuzzy system reproduction and nonlinear system modeling in order to validate our claim.

  • Neuro-fuzzy network that combined advantages of the neural network in learning and fuzzy system in inferencing can be used to establish a system model in the design of a controller. In this paper, we presented the neuro-fuzzy system that can be able to generated a linguistic fuzzy model which results in a similar input/output response to the original system. The network was used to model a system. We tested the performance ot the neuro-fuzzy network through computer simulations.

  • Two new predictive design methods are presented in this study. The first is a hybrid method, called neuro-fuzzy, based on neural networks with fuzzy learning. A total of 280 experimental datasets obtained from the literature concerning concentric punching shear tests of reinforced concrete slab-column connections without shear reinforcement were used to test the model (194 for experimentation and 86 for validation) and were endorsed by statistical validation criteria. The punching shear strength predicted by the neuro-fuzzy model was compared with those predicted by current models of punching shear, widely used in the design practice, such as ACI 318-08, SIA262 and CBA93. The neuro-fuzzy model showed high predictive accuracy of resistance to punching according to all of the relevant codes. A second, more user-friendly design method is presented based on a predictive linear regression model that supports all the geometric and material parameters involved in predicting punching shear. Despite its simplicity, this formulation showed accuracy equivalent to that of the neuro-fuzzy model.

  • In this paper, we try to analyze two kinds of conventional neuro-fuzzy learning algorithms, which are widely used in recent fuzzy applications for tuning fuzzy rules, and give a summarization of their properties. Some of these properties show that uses of the conventional neuro-fuzzy learning algorithms are sometimes difficult or inconvenient for constructing an optimal fuzzy system model in practical fuzzy applications.

  • In this paper, we propose and apply new classification method to the remotely sensed image acquired from airborne multi-spectral scanner. This is a neuro-fuzzy image classifier derived from the generic model of a 3-layer fuzzy perceptron. We implement a classification software system with the proposed method for land cover image classification. Comparisons with the proposed and maximum-likelihood classifiers are also presented. The results show that the neuro-fuzzy classification method classifies more accurately than the maximum likelihood method. In comparing the maximum-likelihood classification map with the neuro-fuzzy classification map, it is apparent that there is more different as amount as 7.96% in the overall accuracy. Most of the differences are in the "Building" and "Pine tree", for which the neuro-fuzzy classifier was considerably more accurate. However, the "Bare soil" is classified more correctly with the maximum-likelihood classifier rather than the neuro-fuzzy classifier.

추정된 클러스터는 ANFIS(Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System)의 퍼지 규칙과 소속함수를 구축하는데 사용되어진다.

  • In this paper, we proposed a new method of modeling a neuro-fuzzy system using a hybrid clustering algorithm. The initial parameters and the number of clusters of the proposed system are optimally chosen simultaneously with respect to the process of regression, which is a unique characteristics of the proposed system. The proposed algorithm presented in this work improves the overall performance of the proposed a neuro-fuzzy system by choosing a proper number of clusters adaptively according the characteristics of given data. The process of clustering is performed by deciding on the number of classes, which yields the property of convergence of the system. In experiments, the superiority of the proposed neuro-fuzzy system is demonstrated, especially the process of optimizing parameters and clustering of learning speed.

  • In this paper, we proposed a learning algorithm for the neuro-fuzzy modeling using a learning rule to adapt clustering. The proposed algorithm includes the data partition, assigning the rule into the process of partition, and optimizing the parameters using predetermined threshold value in self-constructing algorithm. In order to improve the clustering, the learning method of neuro-fuzzy model is extended and the learning scheme has been modified such that the learning of overall model is extended based on the error-derivative learning. The effect of the proposed method is presented using simulation compare with previous ones.

  • In this paper, applications of self recurrent neuro-fuzzy controller to stabilization of nonlinear system are considered. The architecture of self recurrent neuro-fuzzy controller is fix layer, and the hidden layer is comprised of self recurrent architecture. Also, generalized dynamic error-backpropagation algorithm is used for the learning of the self recurrent neuro-fuzzy controller. To demonstrate the efficiency of the self recurrent neuro-fuzzy control algorithm presented in this study, a self recurrent neuro-fuzzy controller was designed and then a comparative analysis was made with LQR controller through an simulation.
