A Mechanism to Support Real-Time Internet Services over the ATM Network (ATM 망을 통한 실시간 인터넷 서비스 지원 메커니즘)

  • In this paper, we propose MSS(Multicast Synchronization Server) and QCS(QoS Conversion Server) models that can support IP multicast and QoS(Quality of Service) over the ATM network more efficiently. In the MSS model, it is possible to establish shortcut VCs(Virtual Circuits) among all hosts in the ATM network and to transfer multicast data at high speed. Also the MSS model is more scalable, because the number of inter-cluster VCs needed in the MSS model is less than that of EARTH. In the QCS model, ATM switch is modified to support one QoS service and best effort service through the one point-to-multipoint VC at the same time so required network resources are reduced, and dedicated server is used for QoS conversion to accept heterogeneous receivers more efficiently. In this Paper, the proposed MSS model and QCS model have solved both efficiency problem and scalability problem. It is proved through the comparison of the VCs required in each model.

  • Conventional IoT systems are centralized systems that process information from the server on the device and most of them use a wireless LAN network. However, There may arise a problem of when the signal of the wireless LAN network is not reached, the IoT product can not be used and accessing a wireless LAN network having a stronger signal. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes a system that a method to maintain stability of IoT products by using repeaters, and to manage IoT products and reduces the burden on the server by processing part of the data processed by the server in the repeater. The problems caused by the signal of the wireless LAN network can be solved by amplifying the signal with the repeater, and the overloading problem that can occur in the server can be solved by controlling the repeater's IoT product connected thereto to reduce the server usage.

  • In the network-based game where it uses the Internet infrastructure, the implementation is possible with the various methods. Such Applications are developed in the multi-tired architecture. There are many cases for the server to be separated from the hardware or the software. In this case, a lot of applications make the distributed process possible and are made as the multi-tiered architecture to develop the reusability of the existing software module. Especially, it is mostly general to separate for the case of a database server to a new tier. One of the important points of multi-tiered server side applications is security and because of this, it is difficult to share the related data about the design skill. Using design patterns, it gives help in reusing the existing written-code for the design of the game that needs a lot of money and time. Design Patterns are related to the software reuse. For the development of more efficient games, if well-defined design patterns are provided to the developers, then it would make more easy advanced game API and make possible the framework for the game development based on the API Through the analysis of the general network-based game currently servicing in the Internet, in this paper, we discuss how to implement a business logic tier using database system among the server side architectures. The main objective of this article is to show an efficient APIs(Application Programming Interfaces) design method which can be used to manage the data that must be saved to the database system among the packets that client/server have to be exchange.

  • This paper describes the designs and the implementations of two H/W IPSec Systems, look-aside and inline, on TOE (Transport Offloading Engine). These systems aim for guaranteeing the security of datagram networks while preserving the bandwidth of gigabit networks. The TOE offloads a host CPU from network burdens, so that it makes the gigabit wire speed possible, and then deeper level security architecture of the IPSec guarantees the security of gigabit service network dominated by datagram packets. The focus of this paper is to minimize the TOE's performance degradation caused by the computation-oriented IPSec. The look-aside IPSec system provides a significant improvement in the CPU offload of the IPSec cryptography loads. However, the inline system completely offloads the host CPU from whole IPSec loads, providing significant additional cost saving compared to the look-aside system. In this paper, the implementations of TOE cards including commercial IPSec processors are presented. As the result of performance evaluation with the protocol analyzer, we can get the fact that the inline IPSec system is 8 times faster than the S/W system and 2 times faster than the look-aside system.

  • With the growing usage of the networks, the users in the Internet uses some kinds of web server. They confused that each web server uses the different user ID and passwords. To solve these problems, SSO (Single Sign-On) solution is introduced. We presents the modeling methods which are efficiently constructed the network management models. We constructed the intrusion detection systems and firewalls using the SSO. This architecture is efficient to manage the network usage and control. SSO solution designed on the small scale Intranet. CA server in the 550 that depends on PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) is used to issue the certificates. SHTTP based on SSL (Secure Socket Layer) is used to protect the data between certificate server and the intranet users.

  • P2P technology is the concept to share resources efficiently in distributed environments that a lot of research is underway. a lot. In these P2P systems, the server to support the contents-information have less overloads than the composed system as the server to have resources generally. In this paper, we suggest a P2P system to support conveniences to choice time for users that were connected with the information of joint-buying based on social network. Social networks based on co-purchasing information and price alerts using the P2P system is provided by the peer, this relay information is provided by the P2P server.

DLMS SCADA System based on TETRA (TETRA 기반 DLMS 원방감시 시스템)

  • TETRA(TErrestrial Trunked RAdio) is wireless communication system generally adopted to public network and backbone network, as the technology of Trunked Radio System specified by ETSI(European Telecommunications Standards Institute) and currently adopted to the Electric Power IT Backbone Network in Korea. DLMS(Device Language Message Specification) is used in order to meter an electric measuring instrument value. In this paper, DLMS Server and Client simulator are used based on Window operating system. The multi-functional gateway, which transforms the communications based on RS-232C between DLMS Server Simulator and Client Simulator to the one based on TETRA PEI(Peripheral Equipment Interface), is developed such that DLMS SCADA(Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system is constructed based on TETRA.

IEC 61850 is the protocol proposed for SAS(Substation Automation System) of SCADA(Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system. In this paper, IEC 61850 Server and Client simulator are used based on Linux operating system. The multi-functional gateway, which transforms the communication based on TCP/IP between IEC 61850 Server Simulator and Client Simulator to the one based on TETRA Packet Data Service, is developed such that IEC 61850 SCADA system is constructed based on TETRA.

  • The rapid water pollution in stream, river, lake and sea in recent years raises an urgent need for continuous monitoring and policymaking to conserve the global clean environment. In particular, the increasing water pollution in coastal marine areas adds to the importance of the environmental monitoring systems. In this paper, the mobile server is designed to gathers information of the water quality at coastal areas. The obtained data by the server is transmitted from field servers to the base station via multi-hop communication in wireless sensor network. The information collected includes dissolved oxygen(DO), hydrogen ion exponent(pH), temperature, etc. By the information provided the real-time monitoring of water quality at the coastal marine area. In addition, wireless sensor network-based flooding routing protocol was designed and used to transfer the measured water quality information efficiently. Telosb sensor node is programmed using nesC language in TinyOS platform for small scale wireless sensor network monitoring from a remote server.

  • In this paper, we perform a performance analysis of a surveillance camera network system with an image recognition server based on frame discard rate and server utilization. Surveillance camera states are divided into recognition states and silence states to analyze the various parameters such as the optimum number of image frames and the optimum number of cameras based on the processing capacity of the server. The analyzed results will be useful for efficient operation of the evolving surveillance camera network systems.
