In this Paper. we describe a home health care service using electronic health questionnaires and routine checkup of vital signs Including ECG (Electrocardiography) , blood pressure. and SpO$_2$ (Oxygen Saturation) . This system is for patients at home with chronic diseases, discharged Patients, or any normal people for the Prevention of disease The service requires a home health care terminal and a PC with Interned connection installed at Patient home. The distance health care management center is equipped with a vital-sign and questionnaire interpreter as well as database, Web, and notification servers with UMS (Unified Messaging System). Participating Physician can access the servers at the center using a Web browser running on a PC available to them at any time. These components are linked together through various kinds of data and voice communication channels including PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) . CATV(Community Antenna TV) . Interned. and mobile communication network. Following the Physician's direction given to a Patient. he or she uses the home health care terminal to collect vital signs and fill out the questionnaire. When the terminal automatically transmits these data to the management center. the data interpreter and servers at the center process the information fo1lowing the Protocol implemented on the system. Physicians can retrieve and review data corresponding to their Patients and send back their diagnostic reports to the center. UMS at the center delivers the physician 's recommendation to the corresponding patient through the notification server. Patients can also reprieve and review their own records as well as diagnostic reports from physicians. The system Provides a new way of collecting diagnostic information and delivering doctor's recommendation to patients at home for their health management. Future works are needed in the development of new technology for measurements and interpretations of various vital signs .
The mobile sink is most suitable to guarantee the real time processing to events in ubiquitous environment. However it brings many challenges to wireless sensor networks. In particular, the question of how to transfer the collected data to the mobile sink is an important topic in the aspect of effective management of wireless sensor nodes. In this paper, a new data dissemination model is proposed. Since this method uses the home agent and the access node concepts, it provides reliable and efficient data delivery to mobile sink with minimum overhead. In this proposed method, the information of the mobile sink which is constantly moving is informed only to the home agent node and the access node, instead of all sensor nodes. Thus, the collected data from sensor nodes are transferred to the fixed home agent and it sends these data to the mobile sink. Since the confliction phenomenon between data packets in wireless networks could be reduced, the success ratio of data arriving in the mobile sink is highly enhanced. In our experiments, the proposed method reduces the number of broadcast packets so that it saves the amount of energy consumed for transmitting and receiving the data packets. This effect contributes to prolong the lifetime of the wireless sensor networks operated by batteries.

USB(Universal Serial Bus) is one of the most popular communication interfaces. When USB is used in an extended range, especially configurating In-home network by connecting multiple digital devices each other, USB interface uses the bandwidth in the way of TDM(Time Division Multiplexing) so that the bottleneck of bus bandwidth can be brought. In this paper, the more effective usage of bus bandwidth to overcome this situation is introduced. Basically, in order to realize the system for transferring realtime moving picture data among digital information devices, we analyze USB transfer types and Descriptors and introduce the method to upgrade detailed performance of Isochronous transfer that is one of USB transfer types. In the case that Configuration descriptor of a device has Interface descriptor that has two AlternateSetting, if Isochronous transfers are not processed smoothly due to excessive bus traffic, the application of the device changes AlternateSetting of the Interface descriptor and requires a new configuration by SetInterface() request. As a result of this adaptive configuration, the least data frame rate is guaranteed to a device that the sufficient bandwidth is not alloted. And if the bus traffic is normal, the algorithm to return to the original AlteranteSetting is introduced. this introduced method resolve the bottleneck of moving picture transfer that can occur in home network connected by multiple digital devices.

Line-of-sight communications cannot easily support korean armed forces because of mountainous terrain. ADD(Agency for Defense Development) introduced ANASIS(Army Navy Air-force Satellite Information System) to meet the Korean warfighter's operational needs. Currently, army's military satcom terminal is designed for either fixed site or on-the-pause operation. The US army is under development of multi-band integrated on-the-move satellite terminals to let the army's communication capability to keep pace with globally deployable Joint Task Force for network-centric application. In this paper we analyzed X-band and Ka-band link and subsystem requirement. Our focus here is to describe key technical issues. Especially, On the basis of 3dB beam width of 0.9m antenna, Tracking accuracy and disturbances compensation signal processing on-the-move of Antenna Tracking system is analyzed. Also, protocol is analyzed that minimize blockage on the move due to an obstacle. when the received signal blocked, it stop to transmit burst signal and retransmit when blockage removed through received synchronization signal monitoring. Analyzed specification will be used to make prototype terminal to analyze risk for mass production
Even though Internet backbone speeds have increased in the last few years due to projects like Internet 2 and NGI, many high performance distributed applications are able to achieve only a small fraction of the available bandwidth. The cause of such problem is due to a character of TCP/IP. The primary goal of this protocol is reliable data transmission. Therefore high speed data transmission didn't be considered when TCP/IP is designed. Hence several researchers have been studied in order to solve the problem of TCP/IP. One of these research results, parallel transfer technique, solves this problem to use parallel TCP connections on application level. Additionally, this technique is compatibility. Recently, these researchers have been studied a mechanism to decide the number of parallel TCP connections. However, some researchers reported the number of parallel TCP connection base on only empirical results. Although hardware performance of host affects transmission rate, the hardware performance didn't be considered in their works. Hence, we collect all data related to transmission rate, such as hardware state information (cpu utilization, interrupt, context switch). Then, we analyzed collected data. And, we suggest a new mechanism determining number of parallel TCP connections for maximization of performance based on our analysis.
As a mobility support for IP have studied, Internet Engineering Task Force(IETF) standardized the Mobile IPv6(MIPv6) protocol. When a mobile node moves between subnets, MIPv6 maintains connectivity to network and supports seamless communication, and these processes are called a Handover. Whenever the mobile node moves between subnets, the Handover is performed. The mobile node can not communicate during the Handover. This period is Galled Handover latency. To reduce this latency, mipshop working group standardizes Fast Handovers for Mobile IPv6(FMIPv6), but latency which the mobile node registers its new care-of address to a home agent and a correspondent node is still long. To solve this problem, we propose a scheme that the mobile node registers the new care-of address to the home agent and initiates Return Routability procedure in advance during layer 2 handover, based on FMIPv6 and IEEE 802.11. We analyze MIPv6, FMIPv6 and the proposed scheme in term of packet transmission cost during the Handover. Compared to MIPv6 the proposed scheme gains 79% improvement, while it gains 31% improvement compared to FMIPv6.
Tho existing TCP(Transmission Control Protocol) is known to be unsuitable for a network with the characteristics of high RDP(Bandwidth-Delay Product) because of the fixed small or large buffer size at the TCP sender and receiver. Thus, some trial cases of adjusting the buffer sizes automatically with respect to network condition have been proposed to improve the end-to-end TCP throughput. ATBT(Automatic TCP fluffer Tuning) attempts to assure the buffer size of TCP sender according to its current congestion window size but the ATBT assumes that the buffer size of TCP receiver is maximum value that operating system defines. In DRS(Dynamic Right Sizing), by estimating the TCP arrival data of two times the amount TCP data received previously, the TCP receiver simply reserves the buffer size for the next arrival, accordingly. However, we do not need to reserve exactly two times of buffer size because of the possibility of TCP segment loss. We propose an efficient TCP buffer tuning technique(called TBT-PLR: TCP buffer tuning algorithm based on packet loss ratio) since we adopt the ATBT mechanism and the TBT-PLR mechanism for the TCP sender and the TCP receiver, respectively. For the purpose of testing the actual TCP performance, we implemented our TBT-PLR by modifying the linux kernel version 2.4.18 and evaluated the TCP performance by comparing TBT-PLR with the TCP schemes of the fixed buffer size. As a result, more balanced usage among TCP connections was obtained.

In this paper, we propose a Cluster-based Cooperative Routing using ARQ (CCRA) for supporting both reliability and transmitting efficient service in mobile ad-hoc wireless sensor networks with Rayleigh fading environments. The main contributions and features of this paper are as follows. First, the clustering method which uses the position information of nodes as underlying structure for supporting reliable transmission services is used. Second, the cooperative data transmission method based on the underlying clustering informations is used to improve both reliability and data transmission efficiency. Third, the ARQ-based transmission is used to improve transmission reliability. Fourth, we consider a realistic approach, in the points of view of mobile ad-hoc wireless sensor networks, based on mobile sensor nodes as well as fixed sensor nodes in the sensor fields while the conventional research for sensor networks focus on mainly fixed sensor networks. The performance evaluation of proposed routing protocol implemented via simulation using Optimized Network Engineering Tool (OPNET) and theoretical analysis.

As an important basic building block of the smart grid environment, smart meter provides real-time electricity consumption information to the utility. However, ensuring information security and privacy in the smart meter data aggregation process is a non-trivial task. Even though the secure data aggregation for the smart meter has been a lot of attention from both academic and industry researchers in recent years, most of these studies are not secure against internal attackers or cannot provide data integrity. Besides, their computation costs are not satisfactory because the bilinear pairing operation or the hash-to-point operation is performed at the smart meter system. Recently, blockchains or distributed ledgers are an emerging technology that has drawn considerable interest from energy supply firms, startups, technology developers, financial institutions, national governments and the academic community. In particular, blockchains are identified as having the potential to bring significant benefits and innovation for the electricity consumption network. This study suggests a distributed, privacy-preserving, and simple secure smart meter data aggregation system, backed up by Blockchain technology. Smart meter data are aggregated and verified by a hierarchical Merkle tree, in which the consensus protocol is supported by the practical Byzantine fault tolerance algorithm.

Increase of internet users and new types of applied traffics, have led to demand for more bandwidth for each application. Hence, the amount of internet traffic has risen sharply and it has demanded to use limited resources, such as wavelength and bandwidth, more effectively. These kind of needs can be satisfied with OXC(Optical cross-connects) based on GMPLS that carry out IP packet switching and wavelength switching at the same time and Provide very wide bandwidth. In RSVP-TE signaling of GMPLS studied by IETF. every lambda router in core network should be able to convert wavelength. So, lots of wavelength converters and needed and building and managing cost is high. Another problem is that optimized traffic is limited. In this paper We suggest strengthened GMPLS RSVP-TE signaling algorithm for a better lightpath setup. When setup signaling is blocked suggested algorithm does not send PathErr message to Edge Router, but looks for nearest lambda router which can convert wavelength and carry out setup signaling from that node. Such algorithm can reduce the chance of blocked lightpath setup signaling and provide effective arrangement of lambda router in core network by calculating proper number of wavelength converter.
