This study was carried out to obtain basic data required to plan and develop Rehabilitation Day Care Program for the stroke Survivors at home in Korea. The subjects comprised of 118 stroke survivors who discharged from 4 hospitals in Seoul during the past 2 years. The data were collected from August 3, 1998 to September 18, 1998, through interviews with questionnaires about general characteristics, activities of dally living, depression and service need of rehabilitation day care program at the outpatient clinics by trained nursing graduates. Data were analyzed with descriptive analysis, Pearson's correlation analysis, and Stepwise multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS/WIN program. The results obtained are as follows ; 1. The mean score of the general need of rehabilitation day care program of stroke survivors was 2.78(range 1-4). The highest need among the service categories of the rehabilitation day care program was self-care and restorative activities category, and health services referral category, recreation category, psychosocial activities category in order. The needs of each category are as follows ; 1) In the health services referral category, the need for speech therapy was highest, followed by the need for physical therapy and occupational therapy. 2) In the psychosocial activities category, the need for self-help group was highest. 3) In the self-care and restorative activities category, the need for bathing was highest, followed by bowel training, and ambulation training. 4) The need for the recreation category was 2.62. 2. Among the need for the effect related to the utilization of day care program, the need for survivors' physical and psychological well-being was highest and was followed by the need for caregiver's physical and psychological wellbeing. Pearson's correlation analysis revealed following results ; 1. The need for rehabilitation day care program service displayed a correlation with the level of education, ADL, and the level of depression, and a reverse correlation with age. 2. The need for the effect related to the utilization of rehabilitation day program displayed a correlation with the level of education, ADL, and the level of depression. The stepwise multiple linear regression analysis revealed following results : 1. For the need for rehabilitation day care program service, 28.4% of the variance was initially explained by one variable, level of depression. The level of depression plus two variables, survivors' age and ADL, explained 34.2% of the variance in the need for rehabilitation day care program service. 2. For the need for the effect related to the utilization of rehabilitation day care program, 12.4% of the variance was initially explained by one variable, level of depression. The level of depression plus one variable, level of education, explained 20.4% of the variance in the need for the effect related to the utilization of rehabilitation day care program. In conclusion, above characteristics should be considered when we are planning to develop stroke survivors' rehabilitation day care program.
The purpose of this research is to investigate the mother and teachers need assessment for preschooler consumer education and related variables and to provide a basis for the development of consumer education program. The survey of this research was conducted by means of self-administered questionnaire with 302 mothers of the preschoolers who are 4-5 years old and attend nursery and kindergarten and 221 teachers of nursery and kindergarten in Ulsan. The statistics used for data analysis are frequencies and percentage, mean and standard deviation, on way ANOVA and Scheffee-test, Person's correlation using the SPSS/PC+ program. Some conclusions from the above investigation are as follows: 1. Each level of the need for consumer education on 22 subject area perceived by mothers and teachers of preschoolers was high and relatively high. Thus consumer education program for preschooler must include all subject area. 2. The mother's need for preschooler consumer education differs significantly according to age. The teacher's need for preschooler consumer education differs significantly according to family income. But these variables take a little effect to the need of mother and teacher. So the consumer education program doesn't need to classify by socio-economic characteristics of mother and teacher. 3. The mother's need for preschooler consumer education are positively correlated to consumer knowledge and consumer skill but negatively correlated to consumption oriented attitude. So the consumer education program needs to develop the consumer knowledge and skill and reduce consumption oriented attitude for the preschooler's mother. 4. The teacher's need for preschooler consumer education are positively correlated to the level of consumer role performance. Thus the reeducation program for the teacher needs to develop the consumer role performance.

The mean score of the general need of rehabilitation day care program of stroke survivor's family was 3.10(range 1-4). The highest need among the service categories of the rehabilitation day card program was self-care and restorative activities category(3.30), and health services referral category, recreation category, psychosocial activities category in order. The needs of each category are as follows. In the health services referral category, the need for dental examination and medical examination were highest, followed by the need for physical therapy and occupational therapy. In the psychosocial activities category, the need for family counselling was highest. In the self-care and restorative activities category, the need for ROM exercise training was highest, followed by bowel training, and ambulation training. 2. The need of family for rehabilitation day care program service displayed a correlation with the level of education, ADL, and the level of depression, and a reverse correlation with age, illness intrusiveness, depression, knowledge, subject and object burden and relationship with stroke survivors. 3. The stepwise multiple linear regression analysis revealed following results. For the need for rehabilitation day care program service, 22.6% of the variance was initially explained by level of family's knowledge about caring method for stroke survivors, 8.8% was the level of subjective burden and 5.4% was relationship with stroke survivors. In conclusion, above characteristics should be considered to develop stroke survivors' rehabilitation day care program.
A program of public facilities is essential in a resident's life, and such a programs affects the quality of life and community activation. The purpose of this study is to analyze the present condition of the program of public facilities and the residents' need of the program in Yanglim-Dong, Gwangju. In this study, a field survey and questionnaire survey are used for data collection. The results of this study are shown as follows: first, most of the public facilities' programs are composed of educational and welfare programs and programs for teenagers, young people and middle-aged people. Second, most of the residents prefer to have a program for culture and sport. Third, age according to program preference and in terms of educational relation program and cultural relation demand difference approaches. Fourth, most of the residents want to join one or two programs every weeks and prefer to participate during the afternoon and evening.

This study was designed to analyze the present condition of the lifelong education field training program and to implement the need assessment of field training program based on the job model application. In order to achieve these goals, surveys were conducted through questionnaires and in-depth interviews targeting staffs of lifelong education institution in Busan area. The 115 subjects were analyzed by frequency distribution, the paired samples t-test, and the Borich's need analysis. The result showed that the field training program was poorly executed during the year of 2013 due to deficiency of certified practitioners and systematic guidelines. Also, the most highly demanded tasks were promoting change, networking, planning, developing programs and conducting surveys among various roles of lifelong educators. On the other hand, the need for the assisting and supporting programs were relatively low. Finally, this study concluded the need for developing systematic guidelines and for accrediting as a lifelong education field training institution nationwide. The results of this study would ultimately contribute to enhance the quality of lifelong education field training program.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the health promoting lifestyle and need assessment of a health promotion program. and to develop a health promotion program for rural elderly. Method: The subjects of the study were 366 adults chosen from 24 villages located in Geochang Gun, Korea. Data sampling used a quota sampling method. Analysis of the data was done by using descriptive statistics, t test, ANOVA and the Scheffe test with SPSS. Results: 1) The average score of performance in the health promoting lifestyle was 1.85. In the subscales, the highest degree of performance was 'nutrition', followed by 'interpersonal relationships', 'health responsibility', 'stress management', 'spiritual growth', and the lowest degree of performance was 'physical activity'. 2) Health promoting lifestyles were significantly correlated with such demographic variables as age (F=2.684, p=.047), education (F=10.989, p=.000), monthly pocket money (F=3.516, p=.008), religion (F=7.160, p=.000), current health status F=3.375, p=.035), health education (t=2.476, p=.014). 3) Health promoting lifestyles were significantly correlated with such life style pattern variables as milk drinking (F=3.767, p=0.035), hobbies (t=3.072, p=0.002), exercise (t=7.186, p=0.000). 4) There is a high level of need for the need assesment of the health promotion program for the elderly in the rural area. Conclusion: With the above findings. I propose that it is necessary to understand a health promoting lifestyle and need assessment for a health promotion program, and to develop a health promotion program considering regional and environmental elements.
The purpose of this study is to find out the high school student's need for the program. The data was collected from 1125 high school students and their parents. The results of this study are like the following. 1 High school students and their parents all showed more than 3 points on the need for the program. 2. They revealed the highest need for programs on school as well as peer-related tasks and self-related tasks, respectively. On the other hand, parents were found to have the need for programs than student do. 3. Significant differences were found among students in their major, class type, and also among parents in gender of their children, class type, residential area, education status, and monthly average income. 4. Highschool-students and their parents all showed the highest points and displayed interest in selecting academic course suitable for their aptitude.
Purpose: This study explored the impact of using a music and horticultural therapy program on depression among rural seniors living in Yeongam-gun and conducted a comparative analysis before and after the program to present basic data helpful for an integrated mental health promotion program tailored to rural areas. Research methodology: The analysis subjects of this study were users of the rural residential program of 'Our Village Day Care Center' in Yeongam-gun in 2023, with a total of 20 people, 10 seniors for each program. The research analysis used SPSS to determine the effect on participation and depression before and after the program was implemented. Results: As a result of the analysis, depression levels decreased after completion of the horticultural therapy program and music therapy program, and this was statistically significant. Conclusion: Three implications are presented based on the following research results. First, the need for programs that can improve not only the physical health but also the mental health of elderly people living in rural areas is suggested. Second, the need for programs that link cultural programs such as music and gardening activities with welfare programs is suggested. Third, the need for follow-up management and verification of periodic mental health checkups for rural elderly is suggested.
The purpose of this study is to identify stepfamily adolescents' emotions related with parental remarriage and the need for education program for them. Forty three stepfamily adolescents in middle and high schools in Seoul were surveyed. As a main result, the most of stepfamily adolescents felt a difficulty in adjustment to stepparent even through more than half of the adolescents perceived the advantage of parental remarriage. The greatest number of stepfamily adolescents wanted an understanding of themselves from parents and agreed the necessity of the educational program for them. 'The understanding of stepfamily', 'The resolution of conflict with stepparent' and 'Stress management' were the popular topics which were demanded as program contents by stepfamily adolescents. Several discussions and conclusions on the main result were suggested.
