  • This paper proposes a method for the immobilization of motorbike brakes in conjunction with near-field communication (NFC) technology in order to meet the increasing demand for security and convenience of motorbike drivers. We thought about the concept of wireless key, NFC security devices and automatic solenoid valve for setting the lock and unlock module. This paper propose the design and development of an innovative anti-theft alarm system for motorcycles using NFC smart devices based on RFID system, the basis of IoT and AES(advanced encryption standard) encryption Algorithm. The design concept is based on NFC communication strategy between the vehicle and owner. To do this concept, we designed motorcycle smart key system with general-purpose NFC system and the automatic solenoid valve for setting the lock and unlock module. First, we designed control unit and NFC card reader for motorcycle smart key system. Then we propose an AES encryption algorithm and prove that the motorcycle key system is controllable by showing the result of implementing and testing, after installing.

  • Since most of recently launched smart devices support NFC(Near Field Communication), RFID applications are tend to be replaced. For instance, previous RFID application areas such as entrance control, mobile e-ticket, electronic payment and et. al are subject to change using NFC. Due to the limitation of passive communication in RFID, it is impossible to cover all security requirements of authentication and authorization mechanism that wide areas of applications demand. Therefore authentication and authorization mechanism based on NFC is very attractive to such applications because active communication methods make it possible to be highly secure in authentication and authorization. In this paper, authors propose a new approach of secure authentication and authorization mechanism using NFC smart devices based on EAP(Extensible Authentication Protocol) and AAA(Authentication, Authorization and Accounting) protocols.

  • NFC (Near Field Communication) is an area of the RFID technology is a kind of short-range wireless communication. NFC technology is to utilize the data transfer, the access control system is usefully employed in many fields, such as mobile payment. Recently smartphone application development using NFC is activated, recognition of the convenience of the current NFC tag is insignificant state. In this paper, it is the content of the Application that was created in order to provide the knowledge of convenience food to the customer to visit the mart. Users with Mart, using smartphones, at a NFC tag that is attached to the food display stand food information, purchasing tips, keeping method, data such efficacy is provided over the screen of the smartphone. If you purchased the food is placed in the refrigerator "moves to the food list of application to click the button, through the food list screen their food list in the refrigerator, and by providing information such as expiration date, the user There is help me to be able to buy the more convenient food.

  • In this paper, we developed the computer room environments and infrastructure management systems to operate various networking devices and the infrastructure in the room, stably. The developed systems are composed of the computer room environment management system and the computing infrastructure management system. The computer room environment management system performs the role which the temperature and humidity detection node periodically detects the temperature and humidity and transmits the information to the remote intelligent server. The computing infrastructure management system enables the computer room's manager to check the information and maintenance history of the computing devices with a smart device supporting NFC(Near Field Communication).

  • We propose an interworking architecture between a smart TV and a smart phone. This architecture provides control mechanism for the newly adopted App on Smart-TV with smart phone. The general method connecting between a smart phone and a mobile AP is very carefully complex and troublesome procedure. The mobile AP transfers data from a smart phone to a smart TV after getting the connection. Connecting procedure between a smart phone and a mobile AP is therefore necessary operation. We worked out the new procedure and control method that acquires some information from Near Field Communication or Quick Reference codes for connecting between a smart TV and a smart phone. Our proposed architecture was confirmed practical possibility as user-oriented automatic connection and simple manipulation for control a kiosk or various display equipment.

  • The EMI shielding effectiveness of shielding layers thickness was analyzed when the low conductivity shielding layers was placed in the near field of the noise source. A spiral antenna with broadband characteristics was used as the noise source, and graphite was selected as the low conductivity shielding material. Two spiral antennas were constructed to analyze the transmission coefficient between two antennas, and the distances between the transmitting and receiving antennas were 5 cm and 10 cm. The thickness of the shielding layers was changed from 1 um to 200 um. The frequency was changed from 100 MHz to 6 GHz to obtain a maximum SE(Shielding Effectiveness) of 70 dB. In this simulation, electronic shielding was used due to the nature of graphite, which is a shielding film material. Based on these results, we will study how to improve the shielding performance by implementing magnetic shielding in the future.

  • NFC(Near Field Communication),the short-distance communication protocol, is a technology with a wide range of application applied to smart phones. In particular, many of the services in NFC environments utilize users' privacy information. Privacy information used in such services leads to new vulnerability due to the very features of NFC technology and of NFC devices represented by smart phones. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to suggest a methodology that analyzes privacy vulnerability resulting from a NFC environments in technological, managerial and institutional aspects and a methodology aimed to establish a countermeasure to augment them. Also, this study will suggest vulnerability and countermeasures accordingly in domestic NFC service drawn out through the above methodologies and a countermeasure to improve the vulnerability. It is expected that various safe countermeasures for privacy protection in NFC environments will be established through the suggested methodologies.

  • In this paper, among short-range wireless communication technologies such as Beacon, Bluetooth, UWB (Ultra-wideband), ZigBee, NFC (Near Field Communication), Z-Wave, 6LoWPAN (IPv6 over Low power WPAN), D2D (Device to Device), etc., proposed an IoT service platform based on a beacon that can provide indoor positioning. And, a beacon-linked web server was designed by blocking indiscriminate beacon spam signals and applying REST web service technology with flexibility and scalability. Data accessibility between different devices was verified by testing the success rate of data transmission, the success rate of blocking beacon push, the success rate of IoT interlocking processing, the accuracy of location positioning, and the success rate of REST web service-based data processing. Through the designed IoT service platform, various proposals and research on short-distance-based business models and service platforms will be conducted in the future.

  • In this paper, we implemented a HF-band magnetic-field communication system consisting of an amplitude shift keying(ASK) transmitter, a pair of loop antennas, and an ASK receiver. Especially, we suggested a new ASK transmitter architecture, where a drain bias of class E amplifier is switched alternatively between two voltage levels with respect to input data. A maximum 5 W class E amplifier was designed using a low cost IRF510 power MOSFET at the frequency of 6.78 MHz. A measured sensitivity of the designed ASK receiver is -78 dBm, which consists of a log amplifier, a filter, and a comparator. Maximum communication range of magnetic-wave communication system with loop antennas was calculated using magnetic field equations in both near-field and far-field ranges. Also, in order to verify the calculated values, an indoor propagation loss was measured using a pair of loop antennas whose dimensions are $30{\times}30cm$. Maximum operating range is estimated about 35 m in case of transmitter's output power of 1 W and receiver sensitivity of -70 dBm, respectively. Finally, the communication field test using the designed ASK transmitter and receiver was successfully done at the distance of 5 m.
