This paper focuses on the likelihood based confidence intervals for two inverse gaussian distributions when the parameter of interest is common scale parameter. Confidence intervals based on signed loglikelihood ratio statistic and modified signed loglikelihood ratio statistics will be compared in small sample through an illustrative simulation study.

In this paper, we derive the Hall-Wellner band and the equal precistion band for survival function based on Hjort when the data are randomly right censored. The bands ate illustrated and compared by applying them to data from a preoperative radiation therapy.

Using Fisher's method of combining two independent test statistics, we suggest a test for comparing two exponential populations with location and scale parameters and prove that it is asymptotically optimal in the sense of Bahadur efficiency.

최근 스마트폰을 중심으로 한 모바일 기기의 보급 및 활용이 급격하게 증가하고 있다. 이러한 환경 변환에 맞춰 많은 서비스들이 모바일 기기를 위한 형태, 즉 앱으로 개발되고 있다. 이 논문에서는 이러한 패러다임의 이동을 고려하여, 현재의 통계지리정보서비스에 대하여 고찰하고 이를 통해 모바일 기기를 위한 적합한 앱 형태 및 고려사항에 대하여 기술한다. 통계정보는 다양한 형태로 제공될 수 있으며, 특히 지리정보시스템과의 연계를 통한 서비스 활용성과 이해력을 돕기 위한 통계지리정보서비스에 대한 연구가 진행되어 왔다. 그러나 변화하는 패러다임을 고려한 앱 개발에 관한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 사용자의 통계정보의 활용성 향상시킬 수 있는 통계지리정보 앱 개발 시 고려사항 및 기능에 대하여 기술한다. 이 논문의 결과는 스마트폰과 같은 모바일 기기를 위한 앱 개발을 위한 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있다.

Statistics was not recognized until the early 20th century as an independent science, and statistical education research came to an international milestone in the late 1940s. The purpose of this study is to investigate the historical development of statistics education research, focusing on the activities of the International Statistical Institute (ISI) and the International Association for Statistical Education (IASE). Statistics education in Korea is considered with regard to the history of international research on statistics education in this study. It implies for the direction of statistical education research to domestic mathematics education researchers and statistical researchers related to statistical education research.

We introduce the statistical system of the Commonwelth Independence State(CIS) countries located in the Central Asia. At present, the level of the national statistics production system of Korean National Statistical Office(NSO) is very high and locate on just behind Japan among all asian countries, and they are also trying to reach the statistics quality level upto the advanced developed countries in the world. To have the optimal Statistics production processing, we must understand the methodologies parts as well as the aspect of the macro statistics that can be applied to the country#s economic plan. Like the history is repeated, it is valuable to look at the development history of statistical system of other countries one century ago. We study the relationship among CIS countries along with the history of Russian statistics development. It will be helpful to look and understand the statistical system of CIS countries including Russia to use their statistics for international comparison study.

Using computer simulated irregular waves, variations of ocean wave statistics according to sea state are analyzed, and the reasonable conditions that transform the energy spectrum to individual wave statistics are discussed. Ocean wave statistics varying with sea state are found to respond linearly to the spectral peakedness parameter $Q_p$ and spectrum moments $m_n$ (n = 0, 1, 2${\cdots}{\cdots}\;\infty$ ). It is clarified that the 2nd-order spectrum moment is a reasonable parameter which represents the wave statistics including wave periods, and that the spectrum analysis should be carried out under the conditions of minimum data length of 10 times of peak period $T_p$ with time lag of $7T_p$ to satisfy the stable condition of wave statistics.

통계학을 좀 더 쉽게 이해하며 흥미를 가지고 접근할 수 있도록 하기 위해 다양한 통계교육 방법의 연구가 계속되어지고 있다. 그러나 동계교육에 있어서 항상 겪는 어려운 점 중의 하나는 학생들이 쉽게 받아들일 수 있는 실제 자료가 많지 않다는 것이다. 이는 학생들에게 통계학을 현실과 전혀 관계없는 학문으로 인식시키며 학습 의욕을 저하시키고 통계학을 재미없는 학문으로 인식하게 되는 부정적 결과를 낳게 하였다. 본 연구에서는 웹과 데이터베이스를 활용한 자료 수집 및 공유 프로그램을 활용하여 수업에서 현실감 있고 학생들과 관련이 높은 자료를 활용할 수 있도록 하고 엑셀을 활용하여 학생들이 통계학의 개념과 응용에 더 집중할 수 있는 통계교육 수업방안을 제안한다.

In the field of food and drug, the role of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety is becoming more important for national and public safety as well as national development and improvement of public welfare. Food and drug statistics are being used to determine the priorities and directions of policy for the promotion of public health and the development of the health industry. This study focuses on statistics from the MFDS. Through the analysis of the MFDS's statistics, the current status of the MFDS's production statistics was identified, and the survey of utilization and satisfaction of the MFDS's statistics was conducted on food and drug experts who actually use the statistics of the MFDS. In order to identify problems of the MFDS statistics, environmental factors affecting the MFDS statistics were derived, and the priorities of improvement tasks for its statistics were identified using AHP and IPA. In addition, the current situation of the statistical system, which serve as the basic coordinate for the establishment and execution of domestic food and drug policies, was identified and implications were provided.
