This study is to explain why internet users are unconcerned with their privacy information. For this purpose, this study focuses on the Nate.com case. Nate.com recently suffered from external intrusion. They announced this fact to their users. However, users did not leave the Nate.com. To explain the reason, this study used a combination of qualitative and quantitative techniques. The grounded theory approach was used to analyze responses to open-ended questions answered by 240 Nate.com users. Using these responses, a survey instrument was developed. Survey results were analyzed using structural equation modeling. The conclusions and implications are discussed.

Nate-on is one of the most widely used messenger system in Korea. A recent research, however, shows that Nate-on messenger has some security vulnerabilities in its mechanism for user authentication. From the present paper found on which the certify method of nate-on messenger program and its weakness. This paper aims to propose new certified protocol and find a solution to the problems that it has by reviewing the way to authenticate the nate-on messenger program and its weak points. In this work, we present a new authentication protocol designed to resolve the security problem with the Nate-on system.

SK Communications entered Korean instant messenger market as a late-mover in 2001 and its instant messenger service "NateOn" was placed in competition with Microsoft's "MSN Messenger", the leading service provider at the time. NateOn studied the nature of users accurately and gradually increased its market share through various services, and in September 2005, it succeeded in overtaking MSN as No.1 in the market. The success of NateOn is a case where a late-mover overcame the buddy-list network, a powerful competitive advantage, of the incumbent. By studying the changes in the instant messenger market of Korea, we try to examine the causes of NateOn's victory and MSN's loss. Through this, we wish to give implications for managers who endeavor to discover the internal and external strategies the leading business has to implement to remain ahead, and how a late-mover can overcome the lack of resources and capacity to leave a mark in the market.

The object of study is to verify the distributions of response packets of 3 portal sites such as Naver, Daum, Nate. The period of experiments is from May 19th 2010 to November 7th 2012 and the number of experiments is 4,642. The distributions of Naver, Nate are biomodals. The distribution of Daum has long right tails. 3 distributions are different under 1% significance level using chi-square test and two sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. From proportions and percentiles, Naver has a distribution with the largest values. Nate is the second place, and Daum has a distribution with the smallest values. We must make portal pages light to increase response speed including other technologies. We expect our results to activate competition among portal sites.

The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the response time of three mobile portal sites in Korea using distributions. The research subjects are the mobile portal site of Naver, Daum, and Nate. The experiment period is six years from April 18, 2012 when mobile portals started to activate, to April 17, 2018. The number of experiments is 4,060. Histograms and percentages were used for the distribution comparisons. For the theoretical comparison, Chi-Square test is adopted as a parametric method, and Kolmogorov-Smirnov test is as a nonparametric method. Naver was the fastest of all four methods, the next was Nate, the next was the slowest. The same result was obtained in terms of average response speed. These results are in contradiction to the results of the wired portal. Naver is a strategy to increase the response speed in accordance with the characteristics of media. Daum is a strategy to increase the contents at the cost of response speed. As for classification, we divide the response time into "Comfortable", "Tolerable", "Feedback", "Leave" according to response time. The ratio of more than 7 seconds that users leave called as "Leave" is 1.18% for Naver, 11.70% for Daum, and 1.5% for Nate. As Daum is overwhelmingly high, the response time is very much in need of improvement. In addition, we show the response time of three mobile portals needs to be reduced We hope that the results of this paper will facilitate technology competition to increase the response speed of mobile portals.

Internet messenger applications are utilized not only by individuals but also in corporate environments since it provides many convenient functions such as email, chatting and SMS services. However convenient they may be, current messenger applications have revealed a great deal of security problems. For instance, the existing Nate-on messenger is exposed to internal threats since it stores sensitive information in the database of its server and transmits communication data through the network without any safety measures intact. In order to solve such problematic issues of existing messenger applications, we propose the following protocol.

본 논문에서는 텍스트 마이닝 기법을 이용하여 MZ 세대를 이해하는 키워드를 도출하고자 한다. MZ 세대의 비중이 높아지면서, MZ 세대를 분석하려고 하는 많은 연구들이 수행되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 MZ 세대를 이해하기 위하여 네이트 판의 연령별 게시판 크롤링을 통해 빅데이터를 수집하였다. 그리고 텍스트 마이닝 기법을 활용하여 10대, 20대, 30대의 각각의 키워드를 도출할 수 있었다. 본 논문에서 도출된 키워드는 이는 MZ 세대를 이해하는데 중요한 키워드로 볼 수 있을 것이다. 향후 연구로는 MZ 세대와 기성 세대를 비교하기 위하여 추가 크롤링을 통해 세대 간 비교 연구를 수행하고자 한다.

This study aims to perform an evaluation of multimedia search services provided by major Korean search portals: Naver, Nate, Daum, Yahoo-Korea, Paran, and Google-Korea. These multimedia search services are evaluated in terms of the metadata of search results, search functionalities, searching methods, other functionalities, and display options. Every search portal offers image and video searching, whereas only Naver, Nate, and Daum offer music searching. Advanced searching methods and functions are mostly developed and supported in image and video searching rath than music searching. Naver, Nate, and Daum support various searching functions which search portals abroad have not developed. Google-Korea supports advanced searching functions. Search portals provide a limited number of metadata in search results. This study could contribute to the development and improvement of portal's multimedia search services.
