게임 테크놀로지의 발전은 플레이어로 하여금 시각적 만족을 향유할 기회를 제공한다. 반면 게임 미디어가 재현해내는 서사적 향유와 만족감은 퇴보시키는 결과를 야기한다. 이야기 예술의 진화라는 관점에서 독창적 게임 스토리텔링의 소멸과 부재는 게임을 향한 플레이어들의 비판적 견해로 이어진다. 특히 게임 스토리텔링을 플레이어 층위에서 실제 작동하게 하는 퀘스트는 반복적이고 전형적인 내용으로 명령형의 과제만을 플레이어에게 제공하는 한계점에 와 있다. 이른바 퀘스트를 통한 의미 있는 플레이와 스토리텔링의 효과가 간과되고 있는 것이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 퀘스트의 대표적인 기능이라고 할 수 있는 수행성과 행동규정성을 넘어, 플레이어가 디자인된 퀘스트 규칙을 수정, 개편하는 편집가능성을 개념화하고, 그 특성을 운용하는 플레이어의 특성을 4가지로 유형화해보았다. 이를 통해 퀘스트의 편집가능성이 플레이어 스스로 게임성을 강화하고 게임 플레이에 몰입할 수 있는 기회를 제공함을 확인할 수 있었다.

This paper examines William and Ellen Craft's Running a Thousand Miles for Freedom (1860)-a narrative of the enslaved couple's escape from Macon to Philadelphia in the guise of a white male master and a colored slave. Expanding Judith Adler's notion of "travel as performed art," my reading of Running focuses on the Crafts' stratagems of transvestism-crossing boundaries not only of gender, but also of race, class, and disability. If travel can be understood as a form of performed art, then why not address a traveler as a performance artist? I present William and Ellen's role-playing in Running as performers of crossing borders and categories, or, as "fugitive performers," since the couple's story never reaches its final arrival but narrates an eternal run-away, far more than "a thousand miles to freedom." Using social stereotypes of race and gender to disguise, William and Ellen plot, write, choreograph, play, and recite on the moving stages and manipulate the others-especially white American audiences-who accompany the couple's run-away and those who were responsible for the cultural drama-a tragedy of American slavery. Becoming "fugitive performers," William and Ellen de-essentialize and debunk the nineteenth-century America's firm belief in distinct color line between black and white, and in the high yet unstable bars between male / female, abled / disabled, master / slave, and freedom / slavery. The Crafts alert their contemporaries and readers by presenting the complex and permeable boundaries of race, gender, class, social and cultural ability.

The direction of recent education literature points to the importance of creativity and creative practices, which also plays an important role in character education and has been recognized as being invaluable for the educational goals of the 21st century. As such, the goal of mathematics educators and researchers has also been on emphasizing the importance of building character and promoting creative practices. In this research, we study the pedagogical measures that can be easily implemented in classrooms to foster creative mathematical thinking and practices in students. In particular, the mathematical topic of interest is three-dimensional geometry, and especially polygons, and processes in which mathematical knowledge and creative practices play out in classrooms. For example, we explore how these creative lessons can be organized as the target internalization lessons, concepts definition lessons, regularity and relationship lessons, question posing lessons, and narrative story lessons. All of these lessons share three commonalities: 1) they require specific planning and execution challenges in order to achieve creative tasks, 2) they take advantage of open-ended problems, and 3) they are activity-oriented. Through this study, we hope to further our understanding on successful creative mathematical educational practices in the field of mathematics education, and help establish model lessons and materials for teachers and educators to use towards such goals.

This paper examines 'an active nihilism' in Suk-je Sung's novels in detail. The focus of this study is formed from the critical mind in a critical perspective that in Korean novels before and after 2000s, characters who embody 'problematic individuals' of $Luk{\acute{a}}cs$ have disappeared and those close to 'active nihilists' has become the mainstream. The most representative example of this phenomenon is Suk-je Sung's novels. 'Active nihilists' in his novels are described as 'ascetics' who mastered various spheres such as 'billiard', 'baduk gambling', 'alcohol', 'dance', and 'book collecting', and so on. In the sense that they reject the transcendental conditions of the modern world and live in the space and time of play in which they can display their passion and potentiality to the maximum, they beings jumping over the 'reality principle'. Also, what they want to repeat is not the endless exchange of labor and capital according to the capitalist system of exchange but rather the repeated existence of their power and passion. This 'anthropology of power and passion' is 'active nihilism' which could be expressed as the 'subject of creating new value' and 'Dionysian affirmation' by Nietzsche. Suk-je Sung's novels sharply prove the stylistic essence of 'a novel' which has to create its own form every time, constantly renewing the narrative style of the past ideal model. In this respect, they are very problematic and his innovation of a form draws the attention. Further, this will certainly be the important object of research in the diachronic dimension of contemporary Korean novel.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the expression types and aesthetic meanings of fashion photographs adopting parody storytelling. The expressions of parody storytelling in advertising into the following five 5 types: parody of literature, movies, TV programs, art, and social issues. Therefore, in this study, we analyzed fashion photographs adopting parody storytelling from literature, movies, TV programs, art, and social issues, in fashion magazines. The meanings of fashion photographs adopting parody storytelling are as follows: First, the photographs adopting parody storytelling create new meanings with respect to a changeable narrative by transforming the original. Second, the humor of deviation comes from fun and interest generated the play of intent transformation and reconstruction of the original. Third, the photographs adopting parody storytelling of social issues suggest current messages. There is a growing tendency toward the value and the meanings of storytelling, and the various contents that have become the motive of the parody have important meanings. In particular, the analysis of expression methods and meanings of storytelling will contribute to raising the brand image through an effective fashion photographs project strategy. A story can be used as a source of inspiration and can contribute various ideas for a fashion photo-shoot and for fashion marketing.

The purpose of this paper is to scrutinize how Parks recalling, deconstructing and reconstructing African-American memories of the absences in American history through a black Lincoln impersonator named, The Foundling Father or The Lesser Known. Parks unearths and reconstitutes a significance for the historical event of Lincoln's assassination by repetitive mimicry and verbal puns. As a pun of the Founding Father, the Foundling Father reminds us of Abraham Lincoln, one of the most venerated figures in American history. In the first act, the black Foundling Father performs as The Great Man. This inverted minstrel show of the black Foundling Father performing a white Lincoln exposes the desire of the Foundling Father to insert his narrative within the history of America. With a series of assassinations, the African-American performers figuratively murder the power and control of the American myth. In the second act, his wife Lucy and his son Brazil dig relics from the past out of 'The great hole of history' instead of the Foundling Father. Digging and burial for African-Americans are their livelihood and their calling as well. As Parks pointed out, they should locate the ancestral buried ground, dig for bones and find bones because so much of African-American history has been unrecorded, dismembered and washed out. Parks leaves the possibilities of digging and burying on the black history through Lucy and Brazil.

Fashion brands have traditionally conveyed emotions through brand image and images such as fashion photos; however, fashion films play an important role in conveying emotion to consumers due to changes that have resulted from the development of digital technology. This study investigates haptic perceptions in fashion films based on Laura Marks' theory. The study concurrently conducted literature and case studies. Haptic and is a condition of touching an object without actually touching it. Marks describes haptic theory as an embodied perception of physical effects that occur as images affect the body. Haptic perceptions that cause a sense of touching when looking at a fashion film can be understood as a formality embodied in the body of the object and spectator created by the object and spectator's clothing experience. Our bodies and apparel can be seen as being perceived and imprinted in our bodies by constantly experiencing and maintaining relationships in an inseparable relationship. Thus, when we look at fashion films, the haptic image invites feeling embodied in our body and provide a haptic perception. As a result, factors for the haptic perception in fashion film are ambiguity of images, fetish image, and non-narrative. Fashion companies are expected to make active use of haptic elements as an era of artificial intelligence arrives and the size of the e-commerce market grows.

A number of recent Victorian studies have participated in a renewed focus on form. E. Warwick Slinn and Monique R. Morgan, for instance, have contributed to enhancing our understanding of the Victorian dramatic monologue. This paper aims to expand what they have addressed by revisiting the mechanics of the dramatic form as a form, in particular addressing two types of dramatic monologue represented with supreme adroitness by Robert Browning and Alfred, Lord Tennyson, both of whom successfully attempted to widen our epistemology through a large act of the poetic imagination and great intellectual power. To this end, this paper lays particular attention to the role of the reader who is regarded as a key element of the dramatic aspect of the genre. In the dramatic monologue proper, real readers are actively brought into dialogic relation with the speaker or the poet, or both, whereby it seeks to represent an act of play among the poet, the speaker, and the reader. What the genre achieves in this fashion is twofold. For one thing, it pushes itself sufficiently to the very centre of the complex of apparently various narrative motives that animate the genre; for another, it honours the world of multiple viewpoints more than any other previous form of literature, all the more so as readers' views vary across their own time, space, and socio-cultural contexts. Incidentally, in one way and another, the dramatic monologue is of kinship with a Jamesian type of fiction, which is noted for its exterior impersonality. So this paper concludes by suggesting some theoretical implications that the dramatic genre assumes for, not only the naturalist novel, but also the (post-)modernist one.

Today's universities have a keen interest in educational reform. The issue of population decline in college-age due to population decline is not new. Universities have been developing quantitatively for a long time and are now considering ways to survive rather than qualitative growth. Since the sharp decline in the school-age population due to the population decline has no clear solution immediately, universities are overcoming this crisis by creating many alternatives. Attracting international students is one of them. In this study, the effectiveness of photovoice was examined through the analysis of the case of the Korean-Japanese convergence cartoon class. The photo-voice method has sufficient potential as a teaching method for foreign convergence classes and can be expected to play a role as a teaching method suitable for students participating in convergence classes with different social, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds. In particular, in the convergence class, since participating students generate research materials through photo production, it can be a tool for inner exploration necessary for webtoon production and a tool for narrative inquiry for storytelling. It is expected that expanding the understanding and use of photo voice will have the methodological value of convergence classes. In addition, the teaching method using photo voice produced in the composition of photos and stories is likely to be used as an appropriate tool for convergence classes for students with different social, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds.

'Instagrammable' is a new term which means a photo or a series of pictures are worth posting on Instagram. Since Instagram is an image-oriented social media platform, it is important to give users proper awareness through images in order to be an instagrammable post. In this study, we explored the proper delivery method of messages within instagrammable posts through the use of hashtags(#). Specifically, we paid attention to the use of 'Card News', which involves a series of images that form a short narrative. Hashtags play an important role that they often describe sharing intention of the post, and we found analyzing the use of hashtags in Card News posts is a good indicator of users' Instagram activities. Currently, there are more than 580k posts are found with the search keyword Card News, and the number is increasing. In this study, we collected and analyzed more than 50k hashtags on Instagram to explore how news stories are posted from both the general users and news media accounts. Furthermore, we conducted interviews with journalists to analyze how news media are making use of Instagram as a legitimate place to share news stories with impact.
