대학생의 자기애 성향이 정신병질에 미치는 영향: 공격성의 매개효과를 중심으로 (The relation between narcissistic personality and psychopathy: The mediating effects of aggression)

  • 본 연구에서는 남녀 대학생들의 자기애 성향, 공격성과 정신병질 간의 관계를 알아보고 자기애 성향이 공격성을 매개로 정신병질에 영향을 미치는지 밝히고자 하였다. 이를 위해 경기도 지역의 대학생 남자 451명과 여자 413명(총 864명)을 대상으로 자기애 성격 척도, 정신병질 척도와 공격성 척도를 실시하고 변인들 간의 관계를 분석하였다. 척도별 평균 비교와 상관분석 결과, 대학생들의 자기애 성격척도의 하위요인과 정신병질, 공격성 점수와 변인들간의 관계가 성차에 따라 다른 양상을 보였다. 자기애 성향의 하위요인들과 정신병질과의 관계에서 공격성이 가지는 매개효과를 분석한 결과, 남녀 집단 모두에서 자기애 성향의 하위요인인 과시욕과 특권의식이 정신병질 성향에 미치는 영향을 공격성이 부분 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 공격성의 매개효과가 자기애 하위요인들 중에서 과시욕, 특권의식 요인과 정신병질 경향의 관계에서 유의하였다는 결과를 성차와 연관 지어 논의하고 추후 연구 방향에 대해 제언하였다.

Suggestion of a Strategy for Fashion Customization Services -An Integrated Perspective of Narcissism and Brand Prestige-

  • Many fashion brands provide sophisticated customization services with advanced technology. Previous studies have revealed that a high level of customization aided by technology positively influences purchase intention. However, since fashion products are society-approved symbols, brand prestige and consumer propensity are expected to affect purchase behavior of customized products. This study aims to identify the purchase decision mechanism of customized products by identifying the relationships among self-expression, brand prestige, narcissistic disposition, and purchase intention. An online survey was conducted on 220 Korean women in their 20s and 30s with customization experience. The results of the data analysis showed that the affluent customization area and narcissistic disposition positively affected purchase intention. Surprisingly, when brand prestige was high and narcissistic disposition was low, the more affluent the customization area, the higher the purchase intention. However, for higher narcissistic disposition, no significant relationship was found between the customization area and purchase intention. This study provides insights into discriminatory customization strategies based on consumer propensity and the brand prestige level when providing customization services in fashion brands.

여대생의 자기애적 성격과 자아존중감이 외모 관리 행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Narcissistic Personality and Self-Esteem on the Appearance Management Behaviors of Female College Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of narcissistic personality and self-esteem on the appearance management behaviors(weight, skin care, makeup, hair care, clothing selection) of female college students. The questionnaires were administrated to 362 female college students living in Gwang-ju city, Korea. For analysis of data, descriptive statistics, factor analysis, Cronbach'$\alpha$, regression analysis were applied. The results were summarized as follows. First. the female college students' narcissistic personality was categorized into four factors, need for administration, leadership/self-confidence, need for power/entitlement, and superiority. Second, narcissistic personality significantly influenced appearance management behaviors. The further examination of the effects showed that need for administration appeared to affect clothing selection, hair care, skin care, makeup, and weight. Third, self-esteem turned out to have positive effects on overall appearance management behaviors. The further examination of the effects showed that self-esteem appeared to affect clothing selection, skin care, hair care, makeup, and weight. The results indicated that female college students' narcissistic personality and self-esteem were important factors to their appearance management behaviors and marketing programs for fashion industries.

무용전공고등학생의 자기애와 자기관리 및 섭식장애의 관계 (The Relationship among Dance-majoring High School Students Narcissism, Self-management and Eating Disorder)

  • 이 연구는 섭식장애와 관련된 변인들을 탐색하고 이들과의 관계를 규명하는데 목적을 두었다. 예술고등학교에서 무용을 전공하고 있는 200명을 대상으로 설문을 통해 자료를 수집 하였으며, t-test, 일원변량분석, 중다회귀분석을 사용하여 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 성별에 따라 섭식장애는 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 학년에 따른 자기관리가 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 무용경력에 따라 자기애성향, 자기관리는 유의미한 차이가 있었으며, 가정형편에 따라서는 자기애성향이 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 자기주도적 자기애 성향은 자기관리의 모든 하위요인에 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤으며 타인의존적 자기애 성향은 훈련 관리에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 타인 의존적 자기애성향은 폭식증에도 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 타인의존적 자기애 성향은 대인관계를 높이고 이에 따라 폭식증을 높이는 것으로 나타나 인과관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

대학생의 자기애, 우울과 정신병질 성향과의 관계: 성차를 중심으로 (The relation among narcissistic personality, depression, and psychopathy: Focus on gender differences)

  • 본 연구는 남녀 대학생들의 자기애 성향이 우울이나 정신병질 성향에 어떠한 관계가 있는지 알아보고자 실시되었다. 자기애, 우울, 정신병질의 각 변인들을 남녀 별로 비교하고, 부적응적 자기애 수준에 따라서 우울, 정신병질과 외현적 자기애 성향이 달라지는지 살펴봄으로써 부적응적 자기애가 다양한 변인들과 가지는 관계를 알아보았다. 자기애와 정신병질 측정을 위한 다양한 척도를 사용하여, 동일변인을 측정하는 두 척도들 간에 차이가 있는지 살펴 보았다. 이를 위해 경기도 지역의 대학생 여자 502명과 남자 501명(총 1003명)을 대상으로 자기애 성격 척도인 NPI와 NPDS, 우울척도인 BDI과 정신병질 척도인 PPI-R과 SRPS를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 척도별 평균비교에서 대학생들은 외현적 자기애(NPI), 우울(BDI)과 정신병질 척도인 PPI-R에서 남녀에 따라 유의하게 차이나는 양상을 보였다. 그리고 부적응적 자기애 수준이 높은 집단이 낮은 집단에 비해 우울, 정신병질 성향과 외현적 자기애 성향이 높게 나타났다. 이러한 결과들을 성차와 자기애 수준과 연관 지어 논의하고 추후 연구 방향에 대해 제언하였다.

  • Diagnosing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is challenging for several reasons: a lack of training in trauma assessment for most clinicians, underreporting and avoidance by patients, the overlapping of symptoms, and a high comorbidity with other mental disorders. Thus, a careful evaluation and differential diagnosis are essential for the treatment and management of this population. A concept of posttraumatic reaction in people with narcissistic vulnerability, called Trauma-Associated Narcissistic Symptoms (TANS) had appeared in the literature; this has not been, however, systemically investigated. This study examines three cases of TANS that developed after traumatic events such as traffic accidents and physical assault. TANS may mimic PTSD and can show similar features; however, a careful attention to the context and meaning of symptoms can help the clinicians in differentiating TANS from PTSD. Clinicians working with trauma and compensation evaluators should be on alert for this easily overlooked condition.

  • Narcissism is a pathological phenomenon and narcissistic subject always needs to put itself on the top and has interest in nothing but its own determination. The protagonist of Adversary by ?mmanuel Carr?re does pay careful attention to what others are thinking of him while he does not distinguish difference between object of love and himself. So he can be allegedly narcissistic subject. And it can be said that the behaviors of Mary in the movie Under the sand by Ozon are included in narcissism in that narcissistic subject has the characteristics that idealizes the object of libido. However, in this study, the heroine is examined based on such a point that the object of love and extreme idealization incline toward others. We call this case reverse-narcissism. In Part 2, it is investigated what relation narcissism as an unconscious psychological tool has with Oedipus complex, which plays an important role in forming human psyche. For instance, disappointment caused by prohibition at the oedipal stage is too severe, which creates superego and its idealization to protect in such a way that narcissistic regression can not be done. Cases of extremely big gap between ego and ideal type are perversion, impostor, mania, paranoia, etc, where narcissistic and oedipal elements are combined to affect.

자기애적 성격성향과 소외감과의 관계 (The Relation between Narcissism and Alienations)

  • The psychiatry features of narcissism are molded by the outcome of a mismatch or lack of tension between the realistic self and the ideal self, and it is related to the problems of alienation. That is, the problems of alienation lead to the outcome of a mismatch between the realistic self and the ideal self by the unindividuality which lose a senses of the reality in all every things, and it make man to even more to give up the realistic self and to be alive powerlessness living. In this views, this study examined the relationship between narcissism and alienations or subfactors, and the concrete subscale of the Narcissistic Personality Scale which had a influence on the alienations to experientially investigate the relation between narcissism and alienations. Juveniles were administered both the Narcissistic Personality Scale and the Alienations Scale. The results showed a positive relationship between narcissism and alienations, and the alienations was influenced of the self-centeredness and the exploitation/Privilege subscale of the Narcissistic Personality Scale. Therefore, narcissists feel alienations too much, and the more a person has self-centeredness and exploitation/Privilege of narcissistic traits, the higher alienations is.

소비자의 자기애(自己愛) 성향과 화장품 쇼핑성향과의 관계 (The Relation between Narcissistic and Cosmetics Shopping Orientation of Consumers)

  • The primary purpose of this study was to investigate the relation between narcissistic and cosmetics shopping orientation of female consumers. The data were collected in Busan, Daegu and Ulsan, and 301 data were used for analysis. The aforementioned were analyzed utilizing frequency, factor and multiple regression analysis using SPSS Win 12.0. The results showed as follows. First, the factors related to narcissistic orientation were entitlement, leadership/superiority, self-reliance, self-intoxication, achievable desire and self-absorption. Second, the factors related to cosmetics shopping orientation were impulsive, economic, self-confidence, exploratory, brand/store loyal, shopping convenience, traffic convenience, prudence, pleasure, famous brand inclination and independent. Third, narcissistic orientation and cosmetics shopping orientation were significantly differences impulsive, economic, self-confidence, exploratory, shopping convenience, pleasure and famous brand inclination orientation.

나르시시즘성향에 따른 소비자유형과 의류제품 및 화장품 소비가치 (Consumers' Type According to Narcissistic Orientation and Consumption Value of Apparel Products and Cosmetics)

  • The primary purposes of this study were to classify consumer's type according to narcissistic orientation of consumer and then to reveal consumer's perception differences on consumption value of apparel products and cosmetics subject to the types. Data were collected from 194 female college students in Ulsan. It was analyzed by frequency analysis, factor analysis, cluster analysis and MANOVA, ANOVA using SPSS Win 12.0. The results were as follows: First, consumer's types classified according to narcissistic orientation were non-narcissist, high-narcissist, leadership and self-absorption. Second, in the consumption value of apparel products case, there were significant differences in effective value, symbolic value and sensitive value among the types. Third, in the consumption value of cosmetics case, there were significant differences in sensitive value and effective value among the types.
