Electrochemical Fabrication of CdS/CO Nanowrite Arrays in Porous Aluminum Oxide Templates

  • A procedure for preparing semiconductor/metal nanowire arrays is described, based on a template method which entails electrochemical deposition into nanometer-wide parallel pores of anodic aluminum oxide films on aluminum. Aligned CdS/Co heterostructured nanowires have been prepared by ac electrodeposition in the anodic aluminum oxide templates. By varying the preparation conditions, a variety of CdS/Co nanowire arrays were fabricated, whose dimensional properties could be adjusted.

  • During the cleanup of US Department of energy facilities, contaminated materials, toxic and hazardous radionuclides (e.g., Th, Cs, and U) and heavy metals (e.g., Cr, Hg, Pb, and Ni)-laden ultrafine particles are generated. The size of the particles is up to about 200 nm. Understanding of the production of these nanometer size particles is critical in determining the surface cleaning efficiently. (omitted)

  • Nanocomposites are composite materials consisting of polymer matrix and layered silicate that are interacted in nanometer scale. Layered silicate based polymer nanocomposites have attracted considerable attention because of their excellent properties. High-Gain Double-Bulk Mixer in 65 nm CMOS with 830 ${\mu}W$ Power Consumption

  • A low-power down-sampling mixer in a low-power digital 65 nm CMOS technology is presented. The mixer consumes only 830 ${\mu}W$ at 1.2 V supply voltage by combining an NMOS and a PMOS mixer with cascade transistors at the output. The measured gain is (19 ${\pm}$1 dB) at frequencies between 100 MHz and 3 GHz. An IIP3 of -5.9 dBm is achieved.

  • Granular feromagnets는 non-magnetic maxtrix 안에 nanometer-sized의 ferromagnetic grain들 구성된다. Co-Cu,Co-Ag, Fe-Ag, NiFe-Ag $^1$을 포함하는 이미 알려진 다른 Granular 금속 합금들의 giant magnetoresistance 에 관계하여 Granular feromagnets 에 대해 조사하였다. Bulk상태의 NiFe와 Mn 혼화되기 쉽다.$^2$ 그리고 Mn은 열처리된 다층박막의 NiFe의 lattice에 쉽게 수용되어진다.$^3$ 이번 실험에서는 metastable한 fcc solid solution NiFe-Mn 박막이 열처리 하에서 NiFe과 Mn으로 분리되었다. (중략)

  • The crystal structure and optical properties of copper nanoparticles, prepared in fused silica by ion-implantation and subsequent heat-treatment, were characterized by X-ray, TEM, linear absorption, and degenerate four-wave mixing (DFWM) technique. The X-ray data show fcc lattice structure of the nanocrystals and their size was measured as 8-20 nanometer by high resolution TEM. Using DFWM, the third-order nonlinear optical coefficient of the Cu-SiO2 thin films was measured as 0.4-1.1×10-8 esu in the surface plasmon resonance absorption region (540-570 nm).
