This paper presents a fast-simplified successive cancellation (SC) flipping (Fast-SSC-Flip) decoding algorithm for polar code. Firstly, by researching the probability distribution of the number of error bits in a node caused by channel noise in simplified-SC (SSC) decoder, a measurement criterion of node reliability is proposed. Under the guidance of the criterion, the most unreliable nodes are firstly located, then the unreliable bits are selected for flipping, so as to realize Fast-SSC-Flip decoding algorithm based on node reliability (NR-Fast-SSC-Flip). Secondly, we extended the proposed NR-Fast-SSC-Flip to multiple node (NR-Fast-SSC-Flip-ω) by considering dynamic update to measure node reliability, where ω is the order of flip-nodes set. The extended algorithm can correct the error bits in multiple nodes, and get good performance at medium and high signal-to-noise (SNR) region. Simulation results show that the proposed NR-Fast-SSC-Flip decoder can obtain 0.27dB and 0.17dB gains, respectively, compared with the traditional Fast-SSC-Flip [14] and the newly proposed two-bit-flipping Fast-SSC (Fast-SSC-2Flip-E2) [18] under the same conditions. Compared with the newly proposed partitioned Fast-SSC-Flip (PA-Fast-SSC-Flip) (s=4) [18], the proposed NR-Fast-SSC-Flip-ω (ω=2) decoder can obtain about 0.21dB gain, and the FER performance exceeds the cyclic-redundancy-check (CRC) aided SC-list (CRC-SCL) decoder (L=4).

Background : Plants belonging to 5 species of the genus Eleutherococcus are currently distributed in the Korean peninsula. The traditional medicine 'Ogapi', derived from Eleutherococcus sessiliflorus and other related species, and 'Gasiogapi', derived from Eleutherococcus senticosus, are frequently mixed up and marketed. Therefore, accurated identification of their origins in urgently required. Methods and Results : Candidate genes from nuclear ribosomal DNA (nrDNA) and chloroplast DNA (cpDNA) of Eleutherococcus plants were analyzed. Whereas the nrDNA-internal transcribed spacer (ITS) regions were useful in elucidating the phylogenetic relationships among the plants, the cpDNA regions were not as effective. Therefore, a combined analysis with nrDNA-ITS was performed. Various combinations of nrDNA and matK were effective for discriminating among the plants. However, the matK and rpoC1 combination was ineffective for discriminating among some species. Based on these results, it was found that OG1, OG4, OG5, OG7, GS1, GS2, and GS3 were derived from E. sessiliflorus. In particular, it was confirmed that GS1, GS2, and GS3 were not derived from E. senticosus. However, more samples need to be analyzed because identification of the origins of OG2, OG3, OG6 and GS4 was not possible. Conclusion : The ITS2, ITS5a, and matK combination was the most effective in identifying the phylogenetic relationship among Eleutherococcus plants and traditional medicines based on Eleutherococcus.

In this study, the effect of petroleum resin on the mechanical strength, morphology, and vibration damping characteristics of natural rubber (NR) composites was observed. The NR composites plasticized by adding petroleum resin showed decreased hardness and mechanical properties. A morphology analysis indicated that as the amount of petroleum resin increased, carbon black aggregates (or agglomerates) observed at the fracture surface decreased, resulting in an improvement in the dispersibility. In addition, as 20 phr of petroleum resin was added, the effective damping temperature range increased by approximately 11.4%, the hysteresis loss rate increased by 15.2%, and the resilience decreased by 36.6%. Therefore, it was confirmed that the vibration damping characteristics improved with the addition of petroleum resin. This was because the rubber-filler interaction between the NR molecular chain of the NR composite and the carbon black particles improved by the addition of petroleum resin.
5G service uses mid-band (n78) than existing mobile communication frequencies, so it is necessary to improve 5G coverage by utilizing low-band frequencies below 2 GHz. To this end, the application of Dynamic Spectrum Sharing technology of LTE and 5G-NR system using most of the low-band frequencies is required. In this paper, signaling overhead factors for DSS application and RF issues for terminal implementation are derived, and signaling overhead ratios from the respective perspectives of 5G-NR and LTE for the 1.8GHz band (50MHz width) that can utilize wide-bandwidth among low-band frequencies are estimated. Also handset RF issues were analyzed. Based on the analysis results, if DSS technology using low band is applied, it is expected that excellent 5G service quality can be provided due to 5G coverage improvement when LTE traffic quickly migrates to 5G-NR.

Electrochemical double-layer capacitors (EDLCs) based on solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs) have gained an immense recognition in the present world due to their unique properties. This study is about preparing and characterizing EDLCs using a natural rubber (NR) based SPE with natural graphite (NG) electrodes. NR electrolyte was consisted with 49% methyl grafted natural rubber (MG49) and zinc trifluoromethanesulfonate ((Zn(CF3SO3)2-ZnTF). It was characterized using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) test, dc polarization test and linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) test. NG electrodes were made using a slurry of NG and acetone. EIS test, cyclic voltammetry (CV) test and galvanostatic charge discharge (GCD) test have been done to characterize the EDLC. Optimized electrolyte composition with NR: 0.6 ZnTF (weight basis) exhibited a conductivity of 0.6 x 10-4 Scm-1 at room temperature. Conductivity was predominantly due to ions. The electrochemical stability window was found to be from 0.25 V to 2.500 V. Electrolyte was sandwiched between two identical NG electrodes to fabricate an EDLC. Single electrode specific capacitance was about 2.26 Fg-1 whereas the single electrode discharge capacitance was about 1.17 Fg-1. The EDLC with this novel NR-ZnTF based SPE evidences its suitability to be used for different applications with further improvement.
Objective : The role of high frequency 120 Hz electroacupuncture(EA) in carrageenan-induced pain was studied by examining the alnalgesic effects, and prostaglandin $E_2(PGE_2)$ levels measurement and spinal N-methyl-D-aspartate(NMDA) receptor expression. Inflammation was induced by an intraplantar injection of 1% carrageenan into the right hind paw. Method : Bilateral EA stimulation with 120 Hz were delivered at those acupoints corresponding to Zusanli and Sanyinjiao in man via the needles for a total of 30 min duration in carrageenan-injected rats. Results : EA stimulation showed significant analgesic effects as measured by analgesy-meter at all time points tested compared with controls. Three hours after carrageenan injection, PGE2 levels were measured by commercial kit. EA significantly inhibited PGE2 production in the right paw. The number of NR1 and NR2A, NMDA receptor, immunoreactive neurons was significantly increased in the superficial dorsal horn(laminae I-II) and nucleus proprius(laminae III-IV) of ipsilateral spinal cord at L4-5. But the number of carrageenan-induced NR1 and NR2A immunoreactive neuron, especially NR1 immunoreaction in the superficial dorsal horn, was reduced by 120 Hz EA stimulation. Conclusions : These results indicate that NMDA receptors may mediate transmission of nociceptive information originating in tissue inflammation of hind paw and high frequency 120 Hz EA stimulation have an alleviating action against local inflammatory pain.
Zoysiagrasses are important turf plants used for school playgrounds, parks, golf courses, and sports fields. The two most popular zoysiagrass species are Zoysia japonica and Zoysia sinica. These are widely distributed across different growing zones and are morphologically distinguishable from each other; however, it is phenotypically difficult to differentiate those that grow along the coastal line from those in beach area habitats. A combination of morphological and molecular approaches is desirable to efficiently identify these two plant cultivars. In this study, we used a rapid identification system based on DNA barcoding of the nrDNA-internal transcribed spacer (ITS) regions. The nrDNA-ITS regions of ITS1, 5.8S nrDNA, and ITS2 from Z. japonica, Z. sinica, Agrostis stolonifera, and Poa pratensis were DNA barcoded to classify these grasses according to their molecular identities. The nrDNA-ITS sequences of these species were found at 686 bp, 687 bp, 683 bp, and 681 bp, respectively. The size of ITS1 ranged from 248 to 249 bp, while ITS2 ranged from 270 to 274 bp. The 5.8S coding region ranged from 163 - 164bp. Between Z. japonica and Z. sinica, nineteen (2.8%) nucleotide sites were variable, and the G+C content of the ITS region ranged from 55.4 to 63.3%. Substitutions and insert/deletion (indel) sites in the nrDNA-ITS sequence of Z. japonica and Z. sinica were converted to cleaved amplified polymorphic sequence (CAPS) markers, and applied to the Zoysia grasses sampled to verify the presence of these markers. Among the 62 control and collected grass samples, we classified three groups: 36 Z. japonica, 22 Z. sinica, and 4 Z. japonica/Z. sinica hybrids. Morphological classification revealed only two groups; Z. japonica and Z. sinica. Our results suggest that used of the nrDNA-ITS barcode region and CAPS markers can be used to distinguish between Z. japonica and Z. sinica at the species level.

Rape plants, especially forage type, are known as one of high S-demanding plants. Their productivity and quality have often limited under S-deficient condition. To investigate the effect of S-deficiency on N uptake and its assimilation, $NO_3^-$ absorption, nitrate reducatse (NR) and glutamine synthetase (GS) activity in leaf and root tissues as affected by different S-supplied level was determined. $NO_3^-$ uptake was not significant between control and S-deficient treated plants, while significantly depressed in S-deprived plants for the early 8 h. NR activity decreased as S-availability decreased, especially in young and middle leaves, representing more than 35% of decrease in S-deficient and 70% in S-deprived plants when compared with control. In roots, a significant decrease (-29%) in NR was observed only in S-deprived plants. Relatively higher GS activity was found in young leaves for three all treatments. As a whole leaf tissue, S-limited conditions resulted in a reduction of GS activity. In root which showed the lowest activity, a significant decrease (-30%) was observed only in S-deprived plants.
To evaluate the effect of Baepungtang(BPT) water extract on cultured mouse spinal sensory neuron which was inhibited by xanthine oxidase(XO) and hypoxanthine(HX)-induced oxigen radicals, MTT assay, NR assay, Neurofilament enzymeimmuno assay and LDH activity assay were carried out after the cultured mouse spinal sensory neuron were preincubated with various concentrations of BPT water extract for 3 hours prior to exposure of XO/HX. The results obtained were as follows: 1. XO/HX, a oxigen radical, decreased the survival rate of the cultured mouse spinal sensory neuron cell on NR assay and MTT assay. 2. $MTT_{50}$ value and $NR_{50}$ value of XO/HX were 30 mU/ml XO/O.2 mM HX. 3. BPT water extract have efficacy of increasing neurofilament. 4. BPT water extract have efficacy of increasing LDH activity. From above the results, It is concluded that BPT has marked efficacy as a treatment for the damages caused in the XO/HX-mediated oxidative process.

Chronotype is an important moderator of psychiatric illnesses, which seems to be controlled in some part by genetic factors. Clock genes are the most relevant genes for chronotype. In addition to the roles of individual genes, gene-gene interactions of clock genes substantially contribute to chronotype. We investigated genetic associations and gene-gene interactions of the clock genes BHLHB2, CLOCK, CSNK1E, NR1D1, PER1, PER2, PER3, and TIMELESS for chronotype in 1,293 healthy Korean individuals. Regression analysis was conducted to find associations between single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) and chronotype. For gene-gene interaction analyses, the quantitative multifactor dimensionality reduction (QMDR) method, a nonparametric model-free method for quantitative phenotypes, were performed. No individual SNP or haplotype showed a significant association with chronotype by both regression analysis and single-locus model of QMDR. QMDR analysis identified NR1D1 rs2314339 and TIMELESS rs4630333 as the best SNP pairs among two-locus interaction models associated with chronotype (cross-validation consistency [CVC] = 8/10, p = 0.041). For the three-locus interaction model, the SNP combination of NR1D1 rs2314339, TIMELESS rs4630333, and PER3 rs228669 showed the best results (CVC = 4/10, p < 0.001). However, because the mean differences between genotype combinations were minor, the clinical roles of clock gene interactions are unlikely to be critical.
