승용 디젤차량에서 Urea-SCR 시스템의 NOX 저감 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Characteristics of NOX Reduction with Urea-Selective Catalytic Reduction System in Diesel Passenger Vehicle)

  • LNT(Lean $NO_X$ Trap), LNC(Lean $NO_X$ Catalyst), SCR(Selective Catalytic Reduction)과 같은 $NO_X$ 저감기술은 상용차뿐만이 아닌 승용차량 성능향상을 위해 지속적으로 개발이 진행되고 있다. 특히 Urea-SCR 시스템은 연료손실 없이 이론상 100%에 가깝게 $NO_X$를 저감하는 가장 효과적인 기술로 환원반응으로 배기가스를 $N_2$$H_2O$로 배출하기 위해 환원제인 요소수를 분사해야한다. 하지만 엔진에서와는 달리 실제차량에서의 적용은 SCR 효율이 떨어지게 된다. 따라서 실제차량에서의 SCR 효율을 극대화하는 기술 개발이 요구되고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는, Post EURO-6 배기가스 규제에 대응하기 위한 디젤승용차량에서의 Urea-SCR의 $NO_X$ 저감 성능에 의한 저감효율의 극대화를 목적으로 실차용 Urea-SCR 시스템 위한 기초자료로 제시하고자 한다.

분말형 MnOx와 V2O2/TiO2 촉매를 이용한 저온영역의 백필터 공정에서 질소산화물 제거 특성 (Characterization of NOx Reduction on Filter Bag Support System at Low Temperature using Powder Type MnOx and V2O2/TiO2 Catalysts)

  • In this study, the selective catalytic reduction of $NO_x$ with ammonia was carried out in a filter bag support reactor. The experiments were performed by powder type $MnO_x$ and $V_2O_5$/$TiO_2$ catalyst at low temperature between 130 and $250^{\circ}C$. Also, the effect of $SO_2$ and $H_2O$ on the NO conversion was investigated under our test conditions. The powder type catalysts were analyzed by X-ray photoelectron spectrum (XPS), X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA). It was observed that NO removal efficiency of the powder type $V_2O_5$/$TiO_2$ catalyst was 85% at low temperature($200^{\circ}C$) under presence of oxygen and that of $MnO_x$ was 50% at the same condition. The powder type $V_2O_5$/$TiO_2$ catalyst, in conclusion, was found to be available for SCR reaction in a filter bag support system.

PEMS를 이용한 소형 경유차의 실주행 NOx 배출특성 평가 (Estimation of Real-Driving NOx Emission Characteristics from Light-Duty Diesel Vehicles with PEMS)

  • $NO_x$ emissions from diesel vehicles have been regarded as a main cause of high $NO_2$ concentration in metropolitan area. Recent studies have shown that the on-road $NO_x$ emissions of diesel vehicles are quite higher than the emission limits specified with the pre-defined test method for emission certification. To reduce air pollutants effectively, the discrepancy of emissions in certification and real-driving conditions should be tackled. In this study, the real-driving emissions have been estimated with portable emission measurement system (PEMS). The results of this study have shown that the on-road $NO_x$ emissions from diesel vehicles have been decreased as the introduction of stricter emission regulation, EURO-6, but additional reduction should be still required and robust technologies should be applied to control $NO_x$ in real-driving conditions. RDE-LDV (Real Driving Emission - Light Duty Vehicles) test method being developed in the European Union can represent excessive on-road $NO_x$ emissions of diesel vehicles as applied emission technologies and can be a solution to remove discrepant $NO_x$ emissions between certification and Korean real-driving conditions. Among the $NO_x$ reduction technologies for EURO-6 diesel vehicles, selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system has shown the better performance than lean $NO_x$ trap (LNT) system to control on-road $NO_x$ emissions. Implementing RDE-LDV will require vehicle manufacturers to adopt the more effective $NO_x$ reduction technology in real driving conditions.

SOx 함유 HC-SCR에서 산처리 Ag/Al2O3 촉매의 반응 특성 (Effect of SOx on HC-SCR Kinetics over Ag/Al2O3 Catalyst)

  • Ethanol was used as reducing agent to remove $NO_x$ exhaust from the stationary source. Pre-treatment with sulfuric acid over $Ag/Al_2O_3$ catalyst was dedicated to overcome the $SO_2$ poisoning effect. The $NO_x$ reduction experiment was performed under the simulated condition of power plant The increased surface area with higher CPSI devoted to increase de-$NO_x$ yield. De-$NO_x$ yield of the $NO_x$ exhaust containing 20 ppm of $SO_2$ increased after acid treatment with 0.7% $H_2SO_4$ over 4.0% $Ag/Al_2O_3$, where the increased dispersion of Ag found from the results of XRD and XPS was the dominant factor for the increased de-$NO_x$ yield. However, the reason for the decreased de-$NO_x$ yield with the acid treatment of higher concentration (1.0% and 2.0%) of $H_2SO_4$ was found to be due to the formation of $Ag_2SO_4$ crystallites found from XRD result. Acid-treated $Ag/Al_2O_3$ catalyst showed maximum de-$NO_x$ yield at higher temperature than non-treated $Ag/Al_2O_3$ catalyst did.

광촉매를 코팅한 모르타르의 미세먼지 저감 성능 연구 (A Study on The Air Pollution Reduction Performance of Mortar Coated with Photocatalyst)

  • 본 연구에서는 광촉매를 비표면적이 큰 구조물에 적용 가능성을 확보하기 위하여 광촉매 용액을 모르타르 표면에 코팅을 통한 미세먼지 저감성능을 분석하였다. 코팅 용액의 광촉매 농도는 1.5 %와 3.0 %로 설정하였으며, 바인더의 종류는 초고성능 콘크리트(UHPC), 보통포틀랜드시멘트(OPC), 고로슬래그(blast furnace slag)를 실험변수로 고려하였다. 전체 모르타르가 공통적으로 광촉매 농도가 증가할수록 NOx 농도 저감률이 증가하였으며, 이는 광촉매 농도가 증가할수록 미세먼지 저감 성능이 증가하는 것을 나타낸다. 또한, 미세먼지 저감 성능 결과 NOx 농도 저감률이 UHPC가 가장 크게 나타났으며, 고로슬래그로 치환할수록 미세먼지 저감 성능이 크게 나타났다. 이는 바인더의 입자의 차이로 인해 내부조직의 치밀함에 따라 표면에 남아있는 TiO2 성분량 차이로 인해 미세먼지 저감 성능에 영향을 미쳤다고 판단된다.

무촉매 환원법이 적용된 응용 재연소 방법에 의한 NOx와 CO의 저감 효과 (The Effects of Advanced Reburning with SNCR on NOx and CO Reduction)

  • From the view of the environmental protection against the use of fossil fuels, the great of efforts have been exerted to find an effective method which is not only pollutant reduction but also high thermal efficiency. Reburning is a useful technology in reducing nitric oxide through injection of a secondary hydrocarbon fuel. In this paper, an experimental study has been conducted to evaluate the hybrid effects of reburning and selective non-catalytic reaction (SNCR) on $NO_x/CO$ reduction from oxygen-enriched LPG flame. Experiments were performed in flames stabilized by a co-flow swirl burner, which was mounted at the bottom of the furnace. Tests were conducted using LPG gas as main fuel and also as reburn fuel. The paper reported data on flue gas emissions, temperature distribution in furnace and various heat fluxes at the wall for a wide range of experimental conditions. Overall temperature in the furnace, heat fluxes to the wall and $NO_x$ generation were observed to increase by oxygen-enriched combustion, but due to its hybrid effects of reburning and SNCR, $NOx/CO$ concentration in the downstream has considerably decreased.

메탄에 의한 Ag/Al2O3 촉매의 선택적 탈질 환원촉매반응에서 탈질전환율에 미치는 황화물 형성의 영향과 Mg첨가 효과 (The Effects of Sulfate Formation and Mg Addition on the Selective Catalytic Reduction of NOx with CH4 on Ag/Al2O3 Catalysts)

  • The influence of sulfate on the selective catalytic reduction of $NO_x$ on the Ag/$Al_2O_3$ catalyst was studied when $CH_4$ was used as a reducing agent. Various preparation methods influenced differently on the $deNO_x$ activity. Among the methods, cogelation precipitation gave best activity. When sulfates were formed on the surfaces of samples prepared by impregnated and deposition precipitation, $deNO_x$ activity was enhanced as long as suitable forming condition is satisfied. The major sulfate formed in Ag/$Al_2O_3$ catalyst was the aluminum sulfate and it seems that this sulfate acted as a promoter. When Mg was added to the Ag/$Al_2O_3$ catalyst it promoted $deNO_x$ activity at high temperature. Intentionally added sulfate also enhanced $deNO_x$ activity, when their amount was confined less than 3 wt%.

Mn-V2O5/TiO2 촉매의 NH3에 의한 NO의 저온 선택적 촉매환원 (Low-Temperature Selective Catalytic Reduction of No with NH3 over Mn-V2O5/TiO2)

  • A (5 wt.%)Mn-(1 wt.%)$V_{2}O_{5}/TiO_{2}$ catalyst were prepared by co-precipitation method and used for low-temperature selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of $NO_x$ with ammonia in the presence of oxygen. The properties of the catalysts were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), temperature programmed reduction (TPR) and scanning electron microscope-energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM-EDS). The experimental results showed that (5 wt.%)Mn-(1 wt.%)$V_{2}O_{5}/TiO_{2}$ catalyst yielded 81% NO conversion at temperature as low as $150^{\circ}C$ and a space velocity of $2,400\;h^{-1}$. Crystalline phase of $Mn_{2}O_3$ was present at ${\ge}\;15%$ Mn on $V_{2}O_{5}/TiO_{2}$. XRD confirmed the presence of manganese oxide ($Mn_{2}O_{3}$) at $2{\theta}=32.978^{\circ}(222)$. The XRD patterns presented of (5 wt.%)Mn-(1 wt.%)$V_{2}O_{5}/TiO_{2}$ did not show intense or sharp peaks for manganese oxides and vanadia oxides. The TPR profiles of (5 wt.%)Mn-(1 wt.%)$V_{2}O_{5}/TiO_{2}$ catalyst showed main reduction peat of a maximum at $595^{\circ}C$.

NO REDUCTION PROPERTY OF Pt-V2O5-WO3/TiO2 CATALYST SUPPORTED ON PRD-66 CERAMIC FILTER

  • The effect of Pt addition over $V_2O_5-WO_3/TiO_2$ catalyst supported on PRO-66 was investigated for NO reduction in order to develop the catalytic filter working at low temperature. Catalytic filters, $Pt-V_2O_5-WO_3/TiO_2/PRD$, were prepared by co-impregnation of Pt, V, and W precursors on $TiO_2$-coated ceramic filter named PRD (PRD-66). Titania was coated onto the pore surface of the ceramic filter using a vacuum aided-dip coating method. The Pt-loaded catalytic filter shifted the optimum working temperature from $260-320^{\circ}C$(for the catalytic filter without Pt addition) to $190-240^{\circ}C$, reducing 700 ppm NO to achieve the $N_x$ slip concentration($N_x\;=\;NO+N_2O+NO_2+NH_3$) less than 20 ppm at the face velocity of 2 cm/s. $Pt-V_2O_5-WO_3/TiO_2$ supported on PRD showed the similar catalytic activity for NO reduction with that supported on SiC filter as reported in a previous study, which implies the ceramic filter itself has no considerable interaction for the catalytic activity.

Ag/γ-Al2O3 촉매상에서 탄화수소-SCR(Selective Catalytic Reduction) 연구 (A study of hydrocarbon SCR(selective catalytic reduction) on Ag/γ-Al2O3 catalyst)

  • 본 연구에서는 자동차의 배출가스중에 포함된 NO를 비선택적 촉매환원법으로 환원시켜 제거하기 위하여 Ag의 함량을 여러 가지로 달리하여 ${\gamma}-Al_2O_3$에 담지한 촉매를 제조하였고, 제조한 촉매에 대하여 온도, 산소농도, 아황산가스농도의 변화에 따른 $NO_x$의 전환율에 대하여 연구하였다. 또한 제조한 촉매의 물성분석을 통하여 촉매의 상태와 $NO_x$의 전환율과의 관계를 알아보았다. 제조한 각각의 촉매에 대하여 반응조건을 여러 가지로 달리하여 반응실험을 한 결과 $Ag/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ 촉매는 Ag의 함량이 2 wt%일 때, 그리고 반응온도가 약 $450^{\circ}C$일 때 가장 높은 $NO_x$ 전환율을 나타냈다. 반응실험 전 후의 촉매에 대하여 X-ray Diffraction (XRD), X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), Temperature Programmed Reduction (TPR), Ultraviolet-Visible Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy (UV-Vis DRS)등의 분석 결과와 반응실험 결과를 비교하여 볼 때 Ag의 산화상태가 잘 유지되지 못하여 고온에서는 $NO_x$ 전환율이 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다.
