Magnetic and Magneto-optical characteristics of NdTbFeCo alloy films and NdTbFeCo/TbFeCo double-layered films have been investigated. It was observed that the Kerr rotation(${\theta}_{k}$) in the short wavelength region increased and the coercivity decreased as the substitutional amount of Nd for Tb in NdTbFeCo film at the constant FeCo content. In spite of the increased ${\theta}_{k}$, a small coercivity of NdTbFeCo film made this medium unsuitable for magneto-optical recording medium at short wavelength. An effort was made to improve coercivity by exchange coupling with TbFeCo film of high coercivity. In the exchange-coupled $Nd_{16.9}Tb_{15.2}Fe_{50.4}Co_{17.5}(150\;{\AA})/Tb_{21.1}Fe_{65.0}Co_{13.9}(300\;{\AA})$ double-layered film, the magnetization reversal switching field and the Kerr rotation angle were increased to about 6.0 KOe and $0.32^{\circ}$ at 500 nm, respectively. This result indicates that exchange-coupled NdTbFeCo/TbFeCo film can be a promising candidate for agneta-optical rerding medium short wavelenhth.
Neodymium-iron-boron (Nd-Fe-B) sintered magnets have excellent magnetic properties such as the remanence, coercive force, and the maximum energy product compared to other hard magnetic materials. The coercive force of Nd-Fe-B sintered magnets is improved by the addition of heavy rare earth elements such as dysprosium and terbium instead of neodymium. Then, the magnetocrystalline anisotropy of Nd-Fe-B sintered magnets increases. However, additional elements have increased the production cost of Nd-Fe-B sintered magnets. Hence, a study on the control of the microstructure of Nd-Fe-B magnets is being conducted. As the coercive force of magnets improves, the grain size of the $Nd_2Fe_{14}B$ grain is close to 300 nm because they are nucleation-type magnets. In this study, fine particles of Nd-Fe-B are prepared with various grinding energies in the pulverization process used for preparing sintered magnets, and the microstructure and magnetic properties of the magnets are investigated.

6LoWPAN based on IEEE 802.15.4 is a realistic standard platform for various Internet of Things (IoT) applications. To bootstrap the LoWPAN (Low-power Wireless Personal Area Network), each device must perform 6LoWPAN-ND address registration to assign a unique IPv6 address. Without adequate security mechanisms, 6LoWPAN-ND is vulnerable to a variety of security attacks including corrupted node attacks. Several security mechanisms have been proposed as a supplement to the vulnerability, but the vulnerability exists because it relies solely on IEEE 802.15.4 hop-by-hop security. In this paper, we propose and analyze a vulnerability of 6LoWPAN-ND address registration and a new security mechanism suitable for preventing the attack of damaged node. It also shows that the proposed security mechanism is compatible with the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) standard and is more efficient than the mechanism proposed in the IETF 6 lo WG.
The change of phosphorescent property with chemical modification and co-doping of Nd as an auxiliary activator in CaAl$_2$$O_4$: Eu\ulcorner, Nd\ulcorner phosphor, employing Nd\ulcornerion(0.6%) and an co-activator maintained its afterglow for 4.5 hours. And also the initial persistent brightness and phosphorescent property were further improved both by substituting Al by B atoms and incorporation of Nd\ulcorner ion. It was found that the persistent time was 30 hours for&Ca(Al_{0.97}\;B_{0.03})$_2$$O_4$:EU\ulcorner(0.3%), Nd\ulcorner(0.6%) phosphor.

The crack behavior in the ceramic Nd:YAG at a laser-diode end-pumped Nd:YAG ceramic laser was investigated. The fracture critical temperature difference of the ceramic Nd:YAG is about $355^{\circ}C$. The fracture of the 2 at% and the 4 at.% ceramic Nd:YAG occurred more than 14.9 W and 6.9 W pump powers, respectively, under lasing conditions.
Precisely refined Mossbauer study and nano structure observation revealed that intergranular phase formed between a-Fe and Nd₂Fe14B phase in NdFeNbB alloys plays a significant role on the magnetic properties. The intergranular interaction was characterized in term of Henkel Plot (δM plot), and hyperfine field, quardrupole splitting and isomer shift were refined to predict the presence and role of the intergranular phase. By the addition of Nb into Nd8Fe86B6 composition, coercivity was found to increase by 25% due to the refinement of average grain size of both the soft and hard magnetic phases which was decreased from 50 nm of virgin Nd/sub 8/Fe/sub 86/B/sub 6/ to 25 nm in Nd8Fe 85Nb₁B6 alloys. The role of Nb addition was confirmed to stabilize the Nd₂Fe14B lattice preventing from thermal vibration of the corresponding sites substituted Fe by Nb atoms in all sites in the Nd₂Fe14B lattice. The enhanced coercivity was originated from the exchange hardening of soft and amorphous phases surrounding the hard magnetic Nd₂Fe14B crystal.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the changes in infant-mother interactions and to measure infant-mother interaction, mutuality, and reciprocity at the 2nd and 6th postnatal monthperiods. Infant-mother interaction was assessed in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings in the 2nd and 6th postnatal months, by filming unstructured free play in the home and analyzing 28 of these infant-mother film recordingsusing two trained observers. This study can be summarized in five points. First, the separate frequency distribution of each category in MIIBR's maternal behavior was as follows: the frequencies of vocalization category, the kinesthetic exercise & physical contact category, the physical caregiving category, and theuse of play tool category. These all showed changes in the 6th postnatal month compared to the 2nd postnatal month. Second, the separate frequency distribution of each category in MIIBR's infant behavior was as follows: the frequencies of physical behavior category, the vocalization category, and the play behavior category. These also all showed changes in the 6th postnatal month compared to the 2nd postnatal month. Third, the mutuality and reciprocity of mother interaction decreased in the 2nd postnatal month compared to the 6th postnatal month. Fourth, mutuality and reciprocity in the infant interaction increased in 2nd postnatal month compared to the 6th postnatal month. Fifth, mutuality and reciprocity in the infant-mother interaction increased in 2nd postnatal month compared to the 6th postnatal month. In conclusion, it is evident that infant-mother interactions change over time. This study bears particular significance in setting a foundation for the theoretical basis of the interaction between infant and mother by observation.
The spectrophotometric methods for the determination of Nd, Pr, Sm, Eu, Ho, Er were developed, using the multicomponent method of absorption spectra cointerference. The absorption spectra of individual Nd, Pr, Sm, Eu, Ho, Er, mixture of Sm, Eu, Ho, Er in hydrochloric acid solutions were investigated, and also a band register which includes the molar absorptions for all trivalent Nd, Pr, Sm, Eu, Ho and Er absorption band maxima were measured. The spectrophotometric determination of Nd, Pr, Sm, Eu, Ho and Er were investigated using the analytically significant absorption bands at 444.2, 575.1, 401.7, 394.2, 416.6, and 379.7 nm, respectively.
The effects of Nb and Cu additives as will as substitutional Co into $Nd_{4}Fe_{85.5}B_{10.5}$ melt-spun alloy were studied aiming for finding a $\alpha$-Fe based Nd-Fe-B composite alloys with high energy product. The addition of Nb and Cu to $Nd_{4}Fe_{85.5}B_{10.5}$ decreased the average grain size and increased the coercivity up to 207kA/m(2.6kOe), Further-more, the substitution of Co for Fe in $Nd_{4}Fe_{82}B_{10}Nb_{3}Cu_{1}$ alloy resulted in the decrease of the average grain size (<20nm) and improved the hard magnetic properties. The remanence, coercivity and energy product of optimally annealed $Nd_{4}Fe_{74}Co_{8}B_{10}Nb_{3}Cu_{1}$ alloy were 1.345, 219kA/m(2.75kOe) and $95.5kJ/m^{3}$(12MGOe), respectively.
The chemical compositions and possible structure for the complex of B15C5 with Nd(Ⅲ) have been determined by NMR spectrophotometry in acetone-d6. On the stepwise additions of Nd(Ⅲ) to B15C5 solution of constant concentration, all the resonances shifted to downfield and the mole ratio of B15C5 to Nd(Ⅲ) was found to be 1 : 1. From the line broadening of proton peaks of NMR spectra, it was found that oxygen atoms in B15C5 interact with Nd(Ⅲ) ion. And in IR spectra of Nd(Ⅲ)-B15C5 complex, the band of asymmetric C-C-O stretching vibration shifted to a lower frequency region upon complexation. We have proposed the possible structure of the Nd(Ⅲ)-B15C5 coordinated with the five ether oxygen atoms and with the three bidentate nitrato groups.
