5축가공을 위한 포스트프로세서 기술 (The Postprocessor Technology of for 5-axis Control Machining)

  • In order to develop a practical postprocessor for 5-axis machining, the general equations of numerically controlled (NC) data for 5-axis configurations with not only non-orthogonal rotary axes but also orthogonal rotary axes were exactly expressed by the inverse kinematics, and a Windows-based postprocessor written in Visual Basic was developed according to the proposed algorithm. The developed postprocessor is a general system that suitable for all kinds of 5-axis machine tool with orthogonal and non-orthogonal rotary axes. Through implementation of the developed postprocessor and verification by a cutting simulation and machining experiment, the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is confirmed. Compatibility is improved by allowing exchange of data formats such as rotational tool center position (RTCP) controlled NC data, vector post NC data, and program object file (POF) cutter location (CL)data, and convenience is increased by adding the function of work-piece origin offset. Consequently, the technology of practical post-processor for 5-axis machining is developed.

클라우드컴퓨팅 기반의 NC포스트프로세서 구축을 위한 융합 연구 (Convergence Research for Implementing NC Postprocessor Based Cloud Computing)

  • 본 논문에서는 제조업체의 공장자동화 환경을 클라우드 컴퓨팅의 SaaS 구축기술을 활용하여 전용 NC포스트프로세서를 웹 환경에서 서비스 받을 수 있도록 융합기술을 적용한 사례를 기술하였다. 개발된 WPS시스템은 기존 소프트웨어 개발방법론인 SPLE을 보완한 SCoD 방법론을 활용하여 안정되고 지속적인 시스템 서비스를 제공하도록 구현하였다. WPS는 범용의 NC포스트프로세서를 사용자 인터페이스와 프로세서 엔진으로 분리하여 각각의 사용자 PC와 클라우드 팜에 설치하고, 이 두 모듈을 네트워크로 연결하는 구조로 설계하였다. WPS는 철판절단 및 금형생산 공정 등에 활용할 수 있도록 현업에서 기능상의 테스트를 완료하였고, 사용자의 편의성을 개선하고 과금을 위한 모듈을 추가하는 등의 보완 작업을 거쳐 상용 서비스를 진행 중에 있다.

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of post processor for Numerical control programing which prepare control paper tape of NC machine. The post processor that we developed reflects modular program design methodology to improve flexibility about variety NC machine. Also, the designed post processor is able to link with general NC system as APT(Automatically programing tools) system or general CAD/CAM system.

  • In this paper, NCTOP is an interactive NC auto programming system for two-dimensional machining. NCTOP consists of seven modules, that is pattern form input, free form input, AutoCAD interface, logic processing, postprocessor processing, output, and database upgrade module. The geometry information of a workpiece to be machined is put into NCTOP program. Then it generates NC program which is final output. NCTOP uses the machining dates from the data base.

  • This paper describes the database for wire cutting electrodischarge conditions and variable taper wire-cut Machining. Electodischarge wire-cut machining is applicable to all materials that are fairly good electrical conductors, including metals, alloys, and most carbides. Thus it provides a relatively simple method for making holes of any desired cross section in materials that are too hard or brittle to be machined by most other methods. In conventional wire cutting CAM systems usually generate the NC code omitting electrodischarge conditions, so operator edits the NC code manually. But it is very inefficient. Therefore in this paper we propose a wire cutting CAM system including database for electrodischarge conditions. Proposed system consists of three steps: 1) Development of database for electrodischarge conditions 2) Development of CAM functions, Including 2D CAD modeling tools, file I/O functions, wire path genera tion functions and postprocessor. 3) Development of variable taper wire-cut machining module. The proposed system has been tested in the JinYoung precision Machine Co.,LTD. and found to be working satisfactorily.

  • 최근 들어 공장자동화분야에 동시공학이라는 개념이 활용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 판재를 절단하여 철의장 부품을 생산하는 작업 현장이 회사 내 외의 협업이 요구되는 환경임에도 불구하고, 분산화 된 동시공학적 생산개념이 적용된 사례가 없어 이와 관련된 연구를 수행하였다. 클라이언트/서버 환경의 철의장 부재생산 자동화시스템을 설계하고, 부재 절단에 필요한 NC포스트프로세서 구축기를 설계하였다. 또한 부재생산 전 공정을 동시공학적 분산처리를 수행했을 때 기존의 생산공정에 비해 제품생산에 소요되는 시간이 단축됨을 보였다.

기하학적인 방법을 이용한 3 Rotary 형식 5축 가공기의 후처리 방법 (A Post-processing Method for 3 Rotary Type 5-axis Machines using Geometric Method)

  • This paper presents a post-processing algorithm for 5-axis machines with three rotary axes (3R-2L type). 5-axis machining needs the postprocessor for converting cutter location (CL) data to machine control (NC) data. The existing methods for post-processing use inverse kinematics equations from for-ward kinematics. However in case of 5-axis machines with three rotary axes, the inverse kinematics equations are not induced directly since the forward kinematics equations are non-linear. In order to get the joint values from the forward kinematics equations, previous algorithms use numerical method for the post-processing, which needs searching algorithms with computation time and may result in fail. This paper proposes a geometric method for the post-processing of 3 rotary type 5-axis machines. Our algorithm has three advantages: first, it does not need establishing forward kinematics equations. Second, it is reliable method that eliminates any numerical methods for the inverse kinematics, resulting in the exact solution. Finally, the proposed algorithm can also be applied to 2R-3L type of 5-axis machines.
