Improving ncRNA Prediction using RNA common-structural Desciptor (RCSD) Committee Machine (RNA 공통 구조 기술자 Committee Machine을 이용한 ncRNA 예측 성능 향상 기법)

  • 최근 포유동물의 유전체에는 알려진 것보다 훨씬 많은 RNA 전사체가 발현되고 있음이 밝혀지고 있으며, 그 중에 많은 부분이 non-coding RNA로 알려지고 있다. 세포 내에서 non-coding RNA의 기능이 훨씬 다양해지고, 중요해지고 있는 상황에서 새로운 non-coding RNA를 정의하고, 탐색하는 것은 가장 시급한 과제이다. 본 연구에서는 이전 연구에서 RNA 공통 구조 학습을 위해 제안되었던, esRCSG (evolutionary search for RNA common-structural grammar) 알고리즘의 성능 향상을 위해, committee machine을 도입한다. Committee machine은 마지막 세대에서 최적화된 RNA 공통 구조 기술자 (RCSD)와 차상위로 최적화된 기술자들 중 양성데이터와 음성데이터의 치역을 합쳤을 때 특이도는 거의 변화가 없으면서 민감도의 증가가 가장 큰 기술자들의 집합이다. Committee machine은 특히 family type의 서열의 가진 특정 ncRNA에서 좋은 성능 향상을 보인다. microRNA를 이용한 성능평가에서 특이도의 변화가 거의 없이 민감도의 성능이 약 1.5배 향상되는 결과를 보였다. 이러한 특이도와 민감도가 높은 기술자를 이용함으로써 새로운 non-coding RNA를 예측하는 것을 약속할 수 있을 것이다.

Development of NC controller using personal computer (PC를 이용한 NC제어장치의 개발)

  • We developed a model of NC controller with IBM-PC as a host cpu and integlligent NC servo controller for 2 axes that can be expaned to 4 axes. Basic conceptions, including hardware structure design, servo controller design, communication protocol, and interpolation hardware design was already publicated on '87 KIEE conference. Following this, we focussed on the emulation of tyhe controller with X-Y table as complete NC machine experimenting some drawings made by NC code program that can be edited and executed in automatic on single step mode. In addition we designed the M.S.T functions with PLC and tested for M-function timing. Finally, we designed NC interface to fit with M-function output and we contructed total system of NC controller with IBM PC host with the result of successful development of new NC model.

  • This paper presents the study on the development of a DNC, system IPIS(Interactive Plant Information System)/DNC, which can manage NC machines and robots as a distributed control method in the machine. processing factory. The IPIS/DNC system is composed of a host computer, satellites and NC machines. A set of software modules are developed on the host computer and the satellites separately. By modularizing each functions of the IPIS/DNC system and using multi-taking method, the functions such as NC program management, NC program distribution, and shop monitoring can be performed on the host computer, and the functions such as NC program transfer to the NC machines, and NC program editing can be performed on the satellites. A Relational database which is linked with job scheduling system is used for IPIS/DNC system.

  • It is important to measure the rotational accuracy of NC lathe spindle as it affects to the qualities of all machines machined by the NC lathe using in industries. The bad rotational accuracy of NC lathe spindle are caused mainly by wearness of the spindle in using and quality of spindle when machining and using low level bearings. It occurs especially in case of NC lathes because the cutting force acting to work-piece act on one side to the spindle not to both sides symmetrically. Therefore in this study, constructing experimental appratus for measuring of rotational accuracy by using eddy current type gap sensors, converters, screw terminal, data acquisition board inserted in computer and software f3r data acquisition, DT VEE ver. 5.0 and then error data acquired in the rotational accuracy test of NC lathe spindle are analysed in plots and statistical treatments.

  • Interactive measuring Part Program Generating Tools (IMPPGT) realized on the FANUC 15MA using touch trigger probes and interactive macro functions of the CNC were developed for intelligent measuring and inspection systems on the machine tools. Machine tools. Menu driven measuring and inspection functions of the IMPPGT were studied and implemented on the CNC through the macro executor and ROM writer. In order to automate measurement and inspection procedures in machine shops, measuring G Code system was also proposed. Using the developed measuring G Code system on the machine tool, untended measurement and inspection operation was able to be realized in FMS lines.

  • Miniaturized machine tool can be used to produce 3D features based on CNC and PC-NC technology in the micro/meso scale. Wide applications of CNC technology are developed and there are lots of know-hows in the cutting process and their CNC application. It helps micro/meso scale structure to machine components, which can be used directly for practical applications. In the present research, as the machine tool is miniaturized, the manufacturing machine tools costs less when compared to the equipment used in other micromachining technologies. Moreover, with advancement of micro tool technology, the cutting process can be used to produce micro/meso scale parts. In conclusion, the proposed system can reduce the cost by utilizing the current machining technology, and as a result, complex micro/meso parts can be produced efficiently with high productivity.

  • Developed in this reseach is a CAM system for 5-axis NC Machining of sculpture surfaces. We identify problems in generating 5-axis NC data and propose methods of overcoming them. Issues discussed in this report are; kinematic modelling of NC machines; Determination of cutter position(location and orientation); check of machine work-range; linear trajectory planning; calculation of feedrate number. The proposed system has been implemented in FORTRAN77 on the Personal IRIS EWS, and it also consitutes a module of the CAD/CAM system 'CASSETTE' developed in KIST CAD/CAM lab..

  • One of the major limitations of productivity and quality in metal cutting is the machining accuracy of machine tools. The machining accuracy is affected by geometric errors, thermally-induced errors, and the deterioration of the machine tools. Geometric and thermal errors of machine tools should be measured and compensated to manufacture high quality products. In metal cutting, the machining accuracy is more affected by thermal errors than by geometric errors. In this study, the compensation device and temperature-based algorithm have been implemented on the machining center in order to compensate thermal error of machine tools under the real-time. The thermal errors are predicted using the neural network and multi-regression modeling methods. In order to compensate thermal characteristics under several operating conditions, experiments performed with five gap sensors and manufactured compensation device on the horizontal machining center.
