밀링가공의 절삭조건 검증시스템 개발

  • In this paper, the fast algorithm to calculate cutting force of milling and its application to NC verification system have been studied. The fast force algorithm can calculate the maximum cutting force fastly during one revelotion of tool. The NC verification using the fast force algorithm can verify excessive cutting force which is the cause of deflection and breakage of tool, and can so adjust the feed rate as to manufacture with the maximum force criterion or maximum machining error criterion. So, the fast force algorithm has been added to the NC verification system, the NC verification system can verify the physical problems in NC code effectively.

  • This paper presents a geometric machining simulation algorithm to enhance the reliability and user-friendliness of a comprehensive computer aided process planning (CAPP) system by verifying generated NC data. In order to represent the complex machining geometry with high accuracy, the proposed algorithm is developed based on a boundary representative (B-rep) solid modelling kernel. Solid models are used to represent the part geometry. tool swept volume and material removal volume by Boolean unite and subtract operations. By integrating a machining simulation procedure into the CAPP system, the systematic analysis of the tool path can be implemented synthetically. To demonstrate and check the validity of suggested system, a simple example of simulation is represented and the result is discussed.

  • For generating NC machining data automatically, it is important to handle computer models such as geometric shape data including engineering specifications for the mechanical part to be manufactured. We proposed unique CAM system for a personal computer that can define the geometric shape in an ease manner and machine the sculptured surfaces of a mold cavity. In this paper, the theoretical basis of generation of high precision machining data for a mold cavity is obtained. The first is geometric modelling, and the second is high precision machining with an optimized tool path algorithm satisfying given tolerance limits. Especially, the bicubic Bezier basis function is adopted for a geometric modelling.

  • Die Factory follows typical order adaptive manufacturing, and delaying delivery affects directly product development of customer, Manufacturing Management System is tried to comply with the appointed date of delivery. It acquires running signal from NC milling, calculates manufacturing results, and offers the basic data to manage the operation ratio. Thus it offers Production data necessary to accomplish the objective of progress improvement for Unmanned Manufacturing. Manufacturing Management System runs on Web Environment, and is composed of electronic work order, operation ratio data acquisition and totaling module.

아토피성 피부염병변에 치료효과가 있는 천연염료 연구(II) - 솔잎 추출물 - (A Study on Natural Dye Having the Effects on the Atopic Dermatitis (Part II) - Pine Needles Extract -)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate usefulness of the pine needles extract on Atopic Dermatitis(AD)-like skin lesions. To investigate the effect of pine needles extract in vivo, atopic dermatitis (NC/Nga) mice using DNCB (2.4-Dinitrochlorbenzene) was used. NC/Nga mice were challenged with DNCB during 2 weeks to develope AD-like skin lesion. After that, pine needles extract was applied to AD-like skin lesion on the backs of the NC/Nga mice during 3 weeks. The efficacy of pine needles extract in the NC/Nga mice was evaluated by measurement of the skin lesion severity(NC mouse score), the serum IgE level, epidermal thickness changes, and mast cell number. Blood was collected from the retro-orbital area and the level of IgE in the blood was measured. The epidermal thickness and mast cell number were observed by microscopic method after H&E stain. The serum IgE levels were decreased after treatment with pine needles extract. The epidermal thickness and mast cell number were decreased after treatment with pine needles extract. To conclude, the topical application of pine needles extract suppressed the progression of AD-like skin lesion.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the possibility of bamboo extract as natural dye having the effect on atopic dermatitis(AD). To investigate the effect of bamboo extract on AD in vivo, we applied bamboo extract to the AD-like skin lesion the backs of atopic of NC/Nga mice, an animal model of AD. NC/Nga mice were challenged with DNCB(2.4-Dinitrochlorbenzene) to develope AD-like skin lesions. The efficacy of bamboo extract in the NC/Nga mice was evaluated by measurement of the skin lesion severity(NC mouse score), the serum IgE level, epidermal thickness changes, and mast cell number. Bamboo extracts improved skin lesions in NC/Nga mice. The serum IgE levels were decreased after treatment with bamboo extract. Histological examinations revealed a decrease in epidermal thickness and mast cell number after treatment with bamboo extract. To conclude, the topical application of bamboo extract suppressed the progression of AD-like skin lesions.

와이어컷 방전가공기의 정밀제어를 위한 NURBS 보간기에 관한 연구 (A Study on the NURBS Interpolator for the Precision Control of Wire-EDM)

  • This paper deals with the precision NURBS interpolator for wire-EDM. Previous research about OAC (Open Architecture Controller) is mostly aimed at NC cutting machines such as milling or lathes, and hence these results are inadequate to apply to wire-EDM. In contradiction to NC machines, wire-EDM operates relatively slow feed rates and based on a feedback control loop to the machining process. The 2-stage interpolation method which reflects wire-EDM specific characteristics was proposed. The constant interpolation error could be acquired through 1 st stage interpolation. Feed rate regulation was performed through 2nd stage interpolation. The suggested algorithm was implemented to test-bed PC-NC system. Computer simulations and the experimental machining were conducted.

  • This paper describes a processing verification technique for developing about end-milling cutters. Developed software is processing verification module for manufacturing. By using cutting simulation method, we can obtain center points of finding wheel via Boolean operation between a grinding wheel and a cylindrical workpiece. The obtained CL data can be used for calculating NC data. After then, we can simulate by using designed grinding machine and NC data. This research has been implemented on a commercial CAD system by using the API function programming. The operator can evaluate the cutting simulation process and reduce the time of design and manufacturing.

절삭부하 예측을 통한 NC코드 후처리시스템 (NC Code Post-Processor Considering Metal Removal Rate)

  • This paper presents an NC code post-processor that adjusts feedrates to keep the variation of metal removal rate along the tool paths minimum. Metal removal rate is estimated by virtually machining the part, whose surface model is built from a series of NC codes defined in operation plan, with cutting-tool-assembly models, whose geometry are defined in a machining database. The NC code post-processor modifies the feedrates by the adjustment rules, which are based on the machining knowledge for effective machining. This paper illustrates a procedure fur grouping machining conditions and we also show how to determine an adjustment rule for a machining-condition group. An example part was machined and it shows that the variation of cutting force was dramatically reduced after applying the NC code post-processor. The NC code post-processor is expected to increase productivity while maintaining the quality of the machined part.
