  • Teachers' presuppositions of nature of science, scientific causality, and nature are unconsciously constructed through interactions with his or her physical and social environment everyday and it began even before they were in any formal education. It directly influences their teaching later. Thus, this study examined what comprehensive presuppositions in nature of science, scientific causality, and nature are held by in-service secondary science teachers. For the study, Q-methodology was used. Q-sorting was done on 81 statements from three instruments: Nature statements, the Test of Preferred Explanations, and the Nature of Science Scale with twelve in-service science teachers. Teachers sorted the statements along a presented agreement scale of their viewpoint and the collected data was analyzed using recommended procedures for Q-sorts in order to group teachers with similar views. As a result, ten participants were placed in five factors based on their presuppositions of science, scientific causality, and nature and distinctive features of each factor were discovered. In addition, the study confirmed that presuppositions of science, scientific causality, and nature are interrelated. This study method will be helpful to discover more relationships regarding teachers' various viewpoints further.

  • Objectives : This study is designed to evaluate the psychological characteristics of Sasang Constitution(Origin and Nature & Emotion Group) by MBTI. Methods : 200 people were tested by QSCCII(Origin and Nature & Emotion Group) and MBTI. It is analyzed by ANOVA, Frequency, Crosstabulation, Duncan & Scheffe Post Hoc Tests. Results : 1. The number of Soyangin was 73, Soeumin was 49, Taeumin was 50, Not classified was 28 in Origin group and Soyangin was 114, Soeumin was 28, Taeumin was. 26 in Nature & Emotion group. When we evaluate QSCCII with 38 Nature & Emotion questionaires, the number of Soyangin are incresed compare to Origin Group. 2. The most three MBTI Types are Soyangin ISTJ, ISTP, ESTJ, Soeumin IJST, ISTP, INTJ, Taeumin ISTJ, ESTP, ESTJ, in Origin Group and Soyangin ISTJ, ESTJ, ISTP, Soeumin ISTJ, ISTP, INTJ, Taeumin ISTJ, ESTP, ISFP in Nature & Emotion Group. There is no significant difference between Origin and Nature & Emotion Group in ststistics. 3. Soeumin & Taeumin tended to be introverted, judging types in Origin and Nature & Emotion Group. Soeumin tended to be intuition type in Nature & Emotion Group. Conclusion : We have not significant differences on peculiarity of sasang constitution compared to MBTI between Origin and Nature & Emotion Group in ststistics.

  • The main aim of this research is centered on the relation between nature and humans, and is to study the ecological characteristics appearing both in Landscape Architecture, one of the currents of ecological architecture as the architectural solution on the relation between humans and nature, and in our traditional architecture. Through this study, we were able to see that our traditional architecture was influenced by our ancestor's view of nature, and that the foremost feature of our ancestor's view of nature on our traditional architecture is not conflicting with nature, but, instead it is complying with it through seeking harmony with nature. Also we could see that our ancestor's view of nature is similar to Landscape Architecture having come to the fore toward the tendency of modern ecological paradigm in that it is the representation seeking the organic view of nature pursuing the oneness among artificial structure, humans, and nature. That is, we could figure out that various ecological features appearing in modem Landscape Architecture had been represented for a long long time, in a natural fashion, In the manner of space makeup in our traditional architecture. This is the characteristic of our ecological thinking system understanding nature and humans at the same context, and it has come down not only to our everyday living but to the manner of architectural solutions as well. Through this research, we could reconsider the modern value of ecological architecture inherent in our traditional architecture.

The nature of science is concerned with aims of scientific work, the status and nature of scientific knowledge, and science as societal institution. This is a review on how to investigate the pupils' ideas about the nature of science, which was suggested by Driver et al. in their book 'Young people's images of science (1996)'. The purpose of this review is to consider the methodological problems of investigating the pupils' ideas about the nature of science, and to get the implications of developing the instruments about it. The instruments, developed by Driver et al., are described as a model and their suggestions are surveyed. Several hints are given this article to develop the similar instruments.

  • This research tried to find out the influence of organization nature on management outcome in security companies. First, in the relation between organization nature and management outcome (inside viewpoint) in security companies, factors of organization culture (t=2.534, p<.05) and job nature (t=6.425, p<.001), in organization nature, were shown to give statistically meaningful positive (+) influence on inside viewpoint, and the relative influence of independent variables measured in terms of beta coefficient was ${\beta}$=.226 for organization culture and ${\beta}$=.576 for job nature. Second, in the relation between organization nature and management outcome (study growth viewpoint) in security companies, factors of organization culture (t=2.070, p<.05) and job nature (t=10.507, p<.001), in organization nature, were shown to give statistically meaningful positive (+) influence on study growth viewpoint, and the relative influence of independent variables measured in terms of beta coefficient was ${\beta}$=.145 for organization culture and ${\beta}$=.741 for job nature. It may be concluded that the nature of security service organization affects organization culture relatively, with the implication that systematic educational practice system and organizational study should be accompanied for achievement of ultimate purpose of the organization. It is also implied that field support will be needed considering the job nature, because organization nature has a causal relationship with the specialty of security service job.

  • This study aimed to investigate a perception of teachers engaged in special education for scientifically gifted regarding nature of science and identify attitudes toward teaching nature of science. The sample of this study consists of 122 science teachers who are teaching or taught students attending gifted classes of any primary school in Korea and any gifted education center of every District Office of Education. We made a partial amendment of a VOSE that was developed by Chen(2006) and then used. We tested their perception and attitudes in regard to nature of science. In terms of nature of science, we devide it into 7 sub-areas to analyse. For attitudes toward teaching nature of science, we investigate and analyse following 5 sub-areas; tentativeness of scientific knowledge, nature of observation, scientific methods, theories and laws and subjectivity and objectivity. The result showed that the generally teachers have a desirable recognitions about a nature of science. For attitudes toward teaching nature of science, the teachers showed that they have positive attitudes. However between degrees of teachers' recognition about a nature of science and attitudes toward teaching nature of science showed a low correlation. To increase their understanding of nature of science and develop attitudes toward teaching nature of science, there should be more training time for the teachers and training contents also should be changed. In addition, we hope that this study contribute to develop contents and direction of training for the teachers as a basic reference.
