새로운 N-Methacryloyl-N'-ethyl-N'-propyl Piperazinium Bromide 단량체를 사용한 습도센서 및 그들의 특성 조사 (Resistive Humidity Sensor Using New N-Methacryloyl-N'-ethyl-N'-propyl Piperazinium Bromide Monomer and Their Properties)

  • 새로운 감습성 단량체인 N-methacryloyl-N'-ethyl-N'-propyl piperazinium bromide(MANEPPB)를 N-methacryloyl-N'-ethyl piperazine(MANEP)와 1-bromopropane의 4차염화 반응에 의하여 합성하였다. MANEPPB/MMA/AA=60/35/5, 70/25/5, 80/15/5, 90/5/5 및 95/0/5 조성의 전해질 공중합체를 감습막으로 사용하기 위하여 제조하였다. 상기 감습액에 아지리딘 가교제인 trimethylolpropane tris(2-methyl-1-aziridinopropionate)(TTAP)를 혼합하여 금 전극 위에 침적법에 의하여 도포하고 가교반응을 진행하여 습도센서를 제조 하였다. 상대습도에 대한 습도센서의 저항을 측정하였을 때, $20{\sim}90%RH$ 상대습도 영역에서 $10^3$의 저항 값이 변화하였으며, 이것은 상용 습도센서로서 대기의 습도를 측정하는데 요구되는 특성을 보여주었다. 그 밖에 온도 의존성, 주파수 의존성, 히스테리시스, 응답 및 회복 속도 그리고 내수성을 측정하여 습도센서로서 특성을 평가하였다.

통영 미륵도 주변 화산암류의 SHRIMP U-Pb 연대측정과 시간층서 (SHRIMP U-Pb Dating and Chronostratigraphy of the Volcanic Rocks around the Mireukdo Island, Tongyeong, Korea)

  • 통영 미륵도 주변의 유천층군 화산암류는 하부 안산암질암류(주사산아층군), 하부 유문암질암류(운문사아층군), 상부 안산암질암류(욕지아층군)와 상부 유문암질암류(사량아층군)로 구분된다. 우리는 각 아층군의 주요 층서단위에 대해 SHRIMP U-Pb 연대측정을 실시하여 이들의 분출시기와 층서관계를 명확하게 하였다. SHRIMP U-Pb 측정에 의하면, 하부 유문암질암류의 풍화리응회암에서 $88.95{\pm}0.44Ma$(n=11)와 추도응회암에서 $82.56{\pm}0.95Ma$(n=10)의 일치곡선 연대를 얻었으며, 상부 안산암질암류의 달아안산암에서 $73.01{\pm}0.75Ma$(n=11)의 일치곡선 연대를 얻었다. 그리고 상부 유문암질암류의 남산유문암맥에서 $71.74{\pm}0.47Ma$(n=14)에 집중되는 일치곡선 연대를 보여주며, 화강섬록암맥에서 $70.7{\pm}3.5Ma$의 겉보기 연대를 보여준다. 이들 자료는 미륵도 주변에서 일어났던 각 층서단위의 분출 혹은 주입시기를 확실케 하며 주사산아층군, 운문사아층군, 욕지아층군과 사량아층군의 시간층서로 구분짓게 한다. 더불어 이 층서는 경상분지에서 백악기 후기 유천층군의 다른 화산단위와 시간층서적 대비를 할 수 있는 실마리를 제공한다.

EFFECT OF SUPPLEMENTARY UREA, GLUCOSE AND MINERALS ON THE IN VITRO DEGRADATION OF LOW QUALITY FEEDS

  • Increasing levels of ammonia-N in the rumen fluid used for in vitro incubation were achieved by supplementation of the ration of the donor cows with urea and by addition of urea either with or without glucose to the rumen fluid after collection. The ration of the donor animals consisted of wheat straw (80%) and maize silage (20%). During the second half of the experiment the basal ration was supplemented with a mineral mixture. Wheat straw, Guinea grass and two rice straw varieties were incubated with the various kinds of rumen fluid. Parameters studied were: solubility, apparent organic matter disappearance after 48 hours of incubation ($OMD_{48}$), rate of organic matter degradation from 0 to 24 hours of incubation ($k_1$) and from 24 to 95 hours ($k_2$). The concentration of ammonia-N in the rumen fluid at which 95% of the maximal $OMD_{48}$ and k1 were reached (88.2 and 100.0 mg/l) were independent of the feed. With regard to the $k_2$ the required ammonia-N concentration to reach 95% of the maximal $k_2$ differed per feed. Mineral supplementation increased the OMD48 and $k_1$, but not the solubility and $k_2$. Glucose addition in combination with urea had no beneficial effect compared to urea supplementation alone.

보건의료종사자의 안면부여과식 마스크의 사용과 밀착도검사의 중요성 (Usage of Filtering-facepiece Masks for Healthcare Workers and Importance of Fit Testing)

  • Objectives: One aim of the study is to compare filtering facepiece masks for healthcare workers between Korea and other countries. The other is to emphasize the importance of fit testing for these masks using an analysis of previous research. Materials: An extensive literature review was performed by searching a number of websites and existing studies. Results: KF94 and KF99 masks certified by the Korean CDC are suitable for healthcare workers as filtering facepiece masks. The standards for these respirators are similar to FFP2 and FFP3 of EN 143 and 149. The performance, such as filtering efficiency, is almost the same between KP94 and N95. It was found that fit testing of respirators for healthcare workers was important to reduce infection risk. Conclusions: KF94 should be emphasized as filtering facepiece masks for healthcare workers rather than N95. Even though Korea has no fit testing regulations, implementing fit testing in healthcare settings is strongly recommended to decrease infection risk.

외부 반송이 있는 생물활성탄담체(BACC) 공정에 의한 오수 중 질소${\cdot}$인의 동시 제거

  • 기존의 BACC process의 가장 큰 단점은 탈질이 잘 이루어지지 않는다는 점인데 이것을 보완한 modified BACC process의 경우 실제오수를 사용하여 외부 반송비 따른 질소 및 인의 제거율을 살펴보면 외부 반송비가 200%일 때 $CODC_{Cr}$의 제거율은 평균 $96.3{\sim}95.7%$ 기존의 BACC process와 비슷하나 T-N 제거율은 $88.3{\sim}95.7%$로 월등히 우수한 결과를 보여주고 있다. 충진율 실험에서는 Table 2에서 보는 바와 같이 큰 차이는 없었다.

One-year Survival Rate of Patients with Primary Malignant Central Nervous System Tumors after Surgery in Kazakhstan

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the one-year survival rate of patients with primary malignant central nervous system (CNS) tumors after surgical treatment in Kazakhstan. Retrospective data of patients undergoing operations in the Department of Central Nervous System Pathology in the JSC National Centre for Neurosurgery in the period from 2009 to 2011 were used as the research material. Kaplan-Meier survival analysis was performed with the following information: gender, date of birth, place of residence, diagnosis according to ICD-10, the date of the operation, the morphological type of tumor, clinical stage, state at the end of the first year of observation, and the date of death. The study was approved by the ethical committee of the JSC National Centre for Neurosurgery. The overall one-year overall survival rate (n=152) was 56.5% (95% confidence interval (CI): 50.2-62.7), and 79.5% (95% CI 72.2-86.8) and 33.1% (95% CI: 21.0-42.3) for Grades I-II (n=76) and Grades III-IV (n=76), respectively. Significant prognostic factors which affected the survival rate were age and higher tumor grade (Grades III-IV), corresponding with results described elsewhere in the world.

일부 의료기관 종사자가 사용한 마스크의 미생물 오염 사례 (Microbial Contamination of Masks Worn by Healthcare Professionals)

  • Objectives: Microbial contamination of face masks used by healthcare professionals can vary depending on the degree of exposure to bioaerosols in various healthcare environments. However, research on this topic is limited. Therefore, we analyzed microbial contamination of N95 respirators used in hospital offices, wards, and outpatient settings. Methods: Samples isolated from N95 respirators worn for 2, 4, and 6 hours were incubated at a temperature of 35-37℃ or 25-28℃ for 24 hours or for 3-7 days, and colony-forming units were counted in chocolate agar, tryptic soy agar, and Sabouraud dextrose agar plates. Total indoor airborne bacteria were also measured in the healthcare environments. Finally, microbial species were identified using Gram staining with a microscopic speculum. Results: The three types of environments did not deviate from the maintenance of standard indoor air quality. There was no difference between the microbial species identified in the healthcare environment and mask contamination. However, the number of bacteria in the masks worn in each environment differed, and the degree of contamination increased with mask-wearing time (p<0.05). Conclusions: Therefore, care must be taken to avoid recontamination of masks due to improper use and exposure to biological hazards in healthcare environments. In conclusion, scientific evidence is necessary for safe mask-wearing times. Based on the results of this study, we hope to conduct further research to establish guidelines for the safe use of face masks during respiratory disease epidemics.

W/InGaN Ohmic 접촉의 전기적 구조적 특성연구 (Electrical and structure properties of W ohmic contacts to InGaN)

  • Low resistance ohmic contacts to the Si-doped InGaN(~$\times$10$^{19}$ ㎤) were obtained using the W metallization schemes. Specific contact resistance decreased with increasing annealing temperature. The lowest resistance is obtained after a nitrogen ambient annealing at 95$0^{\circ}C$ for 90s, which results in a specific contact resistance of 2.75$\times$10$^{-8}$$\textrm{cm}^2$. Interfacial reactions and surface are analyzed using x-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The X-ray diffraction results show that the reactions between the W film and the InGaN produce a $\beta$-W$_2$N phase at the interface. TEM results also show that the $\beta$-W$_2$N has a rough interface, which increase contact area. It shows that the morphology of the contacts is stable up to a temperature as high as 95$0^{\circ}C$. Possible mechanisms are proposed to describe the annealing temperature dependence of the specific contact resistance.

  • 정방정계의 단결정인 PbMo $O_{4}$의 탄성늑성을 조사하기 위하여 브릴루앙 산란 실험을 수행하였으며 모든 탄성계수 뿐만 아니라 복굴절 값도 결정할 수 있었다. 그 결과 c$_{11}$=111.4.+-.4.4, c$_{12}$=64.7.+-.3.4, c$_{4+}$=27.0.+-.0.8, c$_{13}$=51.9.+-.2.5, c$_{33}$=95.5.+-.1.9, c$_{66}$=34.5.+-.4.6 그리고 c$_{16}$=15.8.+-.1.2(*$10^{9}$N/m$^{2}$)이었으며 n$_{o}$ -n$_{e}$=0.151.+-.0.018 이었다.다.
