In this paper, for a positive integer M and a prime p such that $M|p^n-1$, families of M-ary sequences using the M-ary Sidel'nikov sequences with period $p^n-1$ are constructed. The family has its maximum magnitude of correlation values upper bounded by $3\sqrt{p^{n}}+6$ and the family size is $(M-1)^2(2^{n-1}-1)$+M-1 for p=2 or $(M-1)^2(p^n-3)/2+M(M-1)/2$ for an odd prime p.

Let D be a bounded domain in $\mathbb{C}^n$ with $C^2$ boundary. In this paper, we prove the following inequality $${\parallel}u{\parallel}_{p_2,{\alpha}_2}{\lesssim}{\parallel}u{\parallel}_{p_1,{\alpha}_1}+{\parallel}\bar{\partial}u{\parallel}_{p_1,{\alpha}_1+p_1}/2$$, where $1{\leq}p_1{\leq}p_2<\infty,\;{\alpha}_j>0,(n+{\alpha}_1)/p_1=(n+{\alpha}_1)/p_1=(n+{\alpha}_2)/p_2$, and $1/p_2{\geq}1/p_1-1/2n$.

For an odd prime p, n=4k and $d=((p^2k+1)/2)^2$, there are $(p^{2k}+1)/2$ distinct decimated sequences, s(dt+1), $0{\leq}l<(p^{2k}+1)/2$, of a p-ary m-sequence, s(t) of period $p^n-1$. In this paper, it is shown that the cross-correlation function between s(t) and s(dt+l) takes the values in $\{-1,-1{\pm}\sqrt{p^n},-1+2\sqrt{p^n}\}$ and their, cross-correlation distribution is also derived.

A p-n junction was obtained by the deposition of an n-type ZnO thin film on a p-type Zn-doped InP substrate. The Zn-doped InP substrate has been made by the diffusion of Zn with sealed ampoule technique. The ZnO deposition process was performed by pulsed laser deposition (PLD). The p-n junction was formed and showed typical I-V characteristics. We will also discuss about the realization of an ultraviolet light-emitting diode (LED). The structure of n-ZnO/p-Zn-doped InP could be a good candidate for the realization of an ultraviolet light-emitting diode or an ultraviolet laser diode.

Let P be a finite point set in ℝ² with the set of distance n-chains defined as ∆_n(P) = {(|p₁ - p₂|, |p₂ - p₃|, …, |p_n - p_n+1|) : p_i ∈ P}. We show that for 2 ⩽ n = O_|P|(1) we have ${\mid}{\Delta}_n(P){\mid}{\gtrsim}{\frac{{\mid}P{\mid}^n}{{\log}^{\frac{13}{2}(n-1)}{\mid}P{\mid}}}$. Our argument uses the energy construction of Elekes and a general version of Rudnev's rich-line bound implicit in [28], which allows one to iterate efficiently on intersecting nested subsets of Guth-Katz lines. Let G is a simple connected graph on m = O(1) vertices with m ⩾ 2. Define the graph-distance set ∆_G(P) as ∆_G(P) = {(|p_i - p_j|)_{i,j}∈E(G) : p_i, p_j ∈ P}. Combining with results of Guth and Katz [17] and Rudnev [28] with the above, if G has a Hamiltonian path we have ${\mid}{\Delta}_G(P){\mid}{\gtrsim}{\frac{{\mid}P{\mid}^{m-1}}{\text{polylog}{\mid}P{\mid}}}$.

The boundedness, global attractivity, oscillatory and asymptotic periodicity of the positive solutions of the difference equation of the form $x_{n+l} =\alpha+\frac{x_{n-1}^{p}}{x_{n}^{p}},\;\; n = 0, 1, ...$ is investigated, where all the coefficients are nonnegative real numbers.

In this paper, we show that the system of difference equations $x_n={\frac{ay^p_{n-1}+b(x_{n-2}y_{n-1})^{p-1}}{cy_{n-1}+dx^{p-1}_{n-2}}}$, $y_n={\frac{{\alpha}x^p_{n-1}+{\beta}(y_{n-2}x_{n-1})^{p-1}}{{\gamma}x_{n-1}+{\delta}y^{p-1}_{n-2}}}$, n ∈ ℕ₀ where the parameters a, b, c, d, α, β, γ, δ, p and the initial values x-2, x-1, y-2, y-1 are real numbers, can be solved. Also, by using obtained formulas, we study the asymptotic behaviour of well-defined solutions of aforementioned system and describe the forbidden set of the initial values. Our obtained results significantly extend and develop some recent results in the literature.

The n-dimensional generalized Hartogs triangles ℍⁿ_𝐩 with n ≥ 2 and 𝐩 := (p₁, …, p_n) ∈ (ℝ⁺)ⁿ are the domains defined by ℍⁿ_𝐩 := {z = (z₁, …, z_n) ∈ ℂⁿ : |z₁|^p₁ < ⋯ < |z_n|^p_n < 1}. In this paper, we study the L^p Sobolev mapping properties for the Bergman projections on the n-dimensional generalized Hartogs triangles ℍⁿ_𝐩, which can be viewed as a continuation of the work by S. Zhang in [25] and a higher-dimensional generalization of the work by L. D. Edholm and J. D. McNeal in [16].

The objective of this study was to determine the effects of N:P ratio on primary productivity measured as chlorophyll-a (CHL) using the approach of In Situ Nutrient Enrichment Bioassays (NEBs) in Daechung Reservoir. The effects of NEBs on the N:P mass ratios were compared with the field data obtained from monthly-chemical monitoring during 2009~2012. The short-term NEBs showed that the response of primary productivity in the phosphorus spiked treatments (5, 15, 20 and 30 N:P ratios) were greater than the responses in the control (C) and nitrogen spiked treatment (N:P ratio=150, $T_{VI}$). The response in the nitrogen treatment (N:P ratio=150, $T_{VI}$) was less compared to control and all five treatments ($T_I{\sim}T_{VI}$). The outcomes of the NEBs suggest that phosphorus limited the phytoplankton growth and nitrogen addition inhibited the algal growth. In the analysis of nutrients and CHL from the ambient epilimnetic water in Daechung Reservoir, minimum N:P ratios resulted in maximum concentrations of CHL. Overall, our results suggest that the N:P ratio was the key factor in regulating the phytoplankton growth in NEB experiments.

The content of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium and magnesium of hulled barley grown on farmer's field with various N.P.K rates were investigated at various growth stages. Correlation analyses between N.P.K contents and yield and use efficiency of N.P.K and other results were as follows. 1. According to concentration and its change at various growth stages N is similar to K and P, Ca, Mg are similar each other. 2. Yield showed significant positive correlation in most fields with nitrogen content just after thawing. However P and N content were more significantly correlated with yield just before freezing in Kangwon and Chungnam (northern and central province). At the other growth stages negative correlation trend was shown between yield and P, especially K. 3. N.P.K contents in plant increased with the increase of fertilizer rate clearly in early growth stage, and especially in nitrogen, indicating that N was relatively short than P and K in the later stage. N and K contents at various fertilizer rates also indicated a probable competition between them. 4. Fertilizer recovery (use efficiency) decreased in the order of N (55)>K (27)>P (12%) and that of N tended to increase with yield increase. 5. Most effective growth stage for nutritional diagnosis in relation to yield appears to be just after thawing or just before freezing. Nutritional criteria for N.P.K at various growth stages were proposed.
