The purpose of this study was to develop an integrated music activity model based on musical concepts for 2-year-old children in order to include music in whole personality education in a rapidly changing society with increasing need for toddler care. Research methods were review of literature and survey. Subjects were 185 teachers in B city. They were asked to record their thoughts and needs during the process of musical activities with toddlers. Research concluded that an integrated music activity model for toddlers requires statement of purpose, contents based on musical concepts, and appropriate teaching methods which can be extended to arts education in general. Discussion further suggested diverse expression through singing, listening, body movement and combining with other arts.

뮤지컬은 제작부터 연출, 작가, 작곡가, 작사가를 비롯하여 안무가, 음악감독, 배우 등 많은 전문가들을 통해 이루어진다. 이처럼 하나의 뮤지컬이 성공하기 위해서는 그 모든 분야의 사람들이 다 함께 창의력을 발휘해야 한다. 라이센스 뮤지컬이 아닌 이상 먼저 작가, 작곡가, 작사가를 통해 한 작품의 기초 틀이 만들어진다. 이들을 크리에이티브 팀(Creative Team)이라 하고 연출가, 안무가, 배우, 스텝 등을 프로덕션 팀(Production Team)이라고 한다. 그리고 이 두 팀을 합쳐서 크리에이티브 스텝(Creative Staff)이라고 한다. 이후 제작 규모에 따라 2차 크리에이티브 스텝들이 참여하게 되고 실제 연습에 들어가게 되는데 음악감독, 무대 디자이너, 음향 디자이너 등 각 팀의 세부 구성을 이루게 된다. 뮤지컬 크리에이티브 팀에서의 음악 관련 스텝들은 사실 작품의 음악적 색깔과 장르를 결정하는 음악 슈퍼바이저로부터 시작되어 세분화되고 분업화 된다. 하지만 국내에서는 작곡가 또는 음악감독이 그 역할을 모두 담당하고 있다. 본 연구는 해외 뮤지컬 제작 과정 시스템의 사례를 분석하여 작업 공정의 세분화에 따른 보컬 코치의 역할과 개념을 정립하고, 국내 뮤지컬산업에서 보컬 코치의 역할과 필요성을 고찰해 보고자 한다. 일반적인 보이스 티쳐들과 뮤지컬 보컬 코치의 역할과 기능의 공통점과 차이점을 살펴보고, 인터뷰를 통한 국내 뮤지컬 보컬코치 사례를 함께 알아보았다. 그와 더불어 국내 뮤지컬 음악 크리에이티브팀 시스템에 관해 고찰해 보았다.

영화음악은 영화 속 등장인물의 심리상태를 나타내거나 암시하는 역할을 한다. 따라서 본 연구는 스티븐 달드리(Stephen Daldry)감독의 영화 "디 아워스"에 나오는 등장인물의 심리변화에 따라 음악이 변화하는 과정을 제시한다. 이것에 입각하여 심리상태에 따른 음악적 요소는 각각의 인물에게 나타나는 우울증상이 음악적 요소의 상징적 방법으로 구성 가능하다는 것을 입증한다.

본 연구는 공연예술통합전산망(KOPIS)을 통하여 2017년부터 2019년까지 3년간 공연 예매 정보를 바탕으로 뮤지컬 작품들을 분석하여 한국뮤지컬의 시사점을 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이에 공연예술통합전산망자료와 선행연구, 인터넷, 신문기사, 전문잡지를 토대로 공연작품을 분석하고 공연예술통합전산망이전의 자료와 브로드웨이 리그의 자료를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 한국형 중극장 뮤지컬에 집중해야 한다. 둘째, 제작사들은 작품에 투자한 제작비를 투명하게 공개해야 한다. 셋째, 오프브로드웨이 시스템을 한국의 현실에 맞게 수정하여 도입해야 한다. 넷째, 장기공연을 할 수 있는 작품을 생산하여 상업적으로도 성공 할 수 있는 구조를 만들어야 한다. 다섯째, 작품을 위한 극장으로의 변화와 시도가 필요하다.

Music functions as a catalyst for various emotional experiences. Among the numerous genres of music, film music has been reported to induce strong emotional responses. However, the effectiveness of film music in evoking different types of emotions and its relationship in terms of which musical elements contribute to listeners' perception of intended emotion have been rarely investigated. The purpose of this study was to examine the congruence between the intended emotion and the perceived emotion of listeners in film music listening and to identify musical characteristics of film music that correspond with specific types of emotion. Additionally, the study aimed to investigate possible relationships between participants' identification responses and personal musical experience. A total of 147 college students listened to twelve 15-second music excerpts and identified the perceived emotion during music listening. The results showed a high degree of congruence between the intended emotion in film music and the participants' perceived emotion. Existence of tonality and modality were found to play an important role in listeners' perception of intended emotion. The findings suggest that identification of perceived emotion in film music excerpts was congruent regardless of individual differences. Specific music components that led to high congruence are further discussed.

Although extensively developed, optical music recognition systems have mostly focused on musical symbols (notes, rests, etc.), while disregarding the chord symbols. The process becomes difficult when the images are distorted or slurred, although this can be resolved using optical character recognition systems. Moreover, the appearance of outliers (lyrics, dynamics, etc.) increases the complexity of the chord recognition. Therefore, we propose a new approach addressing these issues. After binarization, un-distortion, and stave and lyric removal of a musical image, a rule-based method is applied to detect the potential regions of chord symbols. Next, a lexicon-driven approach is used to optimally and simultaneously separate and recognize characters. The score that is returned from the recognition process is used to detect the outliers. The effectiveness of our system is demonstrated through impressive accuracy of experimental results on two datasets having a variety of resolutions.

최근 예술가의 노동자로서의 지위 보장과 근로환경개선, 복지제도 마련에 관한 논의가 우리 사회에 일고 있다. 이 연구는 미국뮤지컬산업에서 중요한 역할을 하고 있는 다양한 예술가조합의 성립과 변천과정의 핵심적인 내용을 검토함으로써 예술가들 간의 이해관계를 조율해 온 내용을 살펴본다. 미국 공연예술분야는 오래 전부터 배우조합, 제작자조합, 극작가조합, 무대기술인조합, 연출자 안무가조합 등의 활동이 활발하여 회원을 모아 결집하여 파업을 하거나 소송을 제기하면서까지 예술가들의 처우개선과 창작에 대한 보호를 확장시켜왔다. 이들 예술가 조합의 형성과정과 그 속에 나타난 예술가들의 권익신장에 관한 여러 쟁점들은 우리나라 뮤지컬산업에서의 개별 공연계약에 많은 참고가 될 것이다.

Lots of audience turn their eyes upon musical to satisfy various cultural desire. It is popular culture that was watched in culture contents industry. The stage costume which turn audience's eyes in musical the most is the sight art of stage to express visually actor(actress)'s personality, mental state, administrative position, age and the distinction of sex. This study researches designed stage costume which was based on time backgrounds and historical facts of reinvented clothes and its ornaments in Egypt by 'Sonia Rykiel' through musical, 'ten commandments' with special times. We collected home and abroad documentary records, Internet data. Moreover we viewed performance to analyze stage costume and brochure photograph data to study. In consequence the stage costume of musical 'ten commandments' found its way out of traditional clothes and its ornaments largely. We can recognize the stage costume as the most important part in drama by explaining the content on drama as costume through reinvented shape with modern sense and by taking charge of the principal part to lead atmosphere. In addition, thanks to the creative work of designer for stage costume, we can realize important intermediation to make higher artistic value of musical.

한국의 뮤지컬 산업은 'K-Musical'이라는 새로운 명칭으로 브랜드화 되어 급성장하고 있다. K-Musical의 성장은 단기간에 이루어진 것이 아니라 한류 문화 콘텐츠가 성장됨에 따라 자연스럽게 형성되었다. 그 영향으로 한류의 바람이 한국의 뮤지컬에 불고 있으며 새로운 문화의 거점을 이루고 있다. 큰 성장세를 보였던 2012년 상반기에는 공연시장 상승규모 중 뮤지컬이 24% 상승되었고, 하반기에도 최소 20% 성장하여 2013년 3000억 원대에 진입하였다. 이는 신설된 뮤지컬 전용 공연장에서 좋은 성과를 이루었고 창작 뮤지컬의 성공에서 기인한 것으로 국내 뮤지컬 작품을 해외에 수출하는 기반이 되었다. 나아가 2018년 집계된 국내 뮤지컬 판매액은 2571억 원을 기록하여 전년에 비해 29%로 대폭 상승한 것을 알 수 있다. 한국의 뮤지컬 시장을 아시아로 확대하고 아시아 뮤지컬 산업의 중심이 될 수 있는 전략적 접근이 필요한 중요한 시기라고 할 수 있다. 이에 K-Musical 산업의 지속적인 성장을 위해 일본과 중국의 현황을 파악 하고 대비하는 것도 중요하다. 본 연구를 통해 아시아의 중심으로써 한국의 뮤지컬 산업이 지속적으로 뮤지컬 산업을 이끌어나갈 수 있는 전략과 방안을 제시해 보고자 하였다. 이를 통해 한국의 뮤지컬 콘텐츠 산업이 아시아 뮤지컬 산업과 함께 공존하고 발전하여 한시적이 아닌 지속적인 산업이 될 수 있기를 기대한다.

'브로드웨이 42번가'를 통해 극장과 공연 그리고 뮤지컬의 이면을 조망함으로 실상에 다가서고자 하였다. 관객과 일반인들이 상상할 수 있는 언론이나, 홍보물 또는 무대 위에 나타나는 범위의 피사체의 모습이 아닌 무대 뒤 편(Back Stage)의 모든 것들을 함께 공연하는 배우의 입장으로 접근하여 공연의 무대 세트, 분장실, 스토리의 한 사람의 눈으로 그 무대 뒤 삶의 공간의 모습들을 연출된 모습이 아닌, 사실 그대로의 모습을 기록했다. 본 연구의 공연장 백스테이지의 일상에 대한 다큐멘터리적 접근은 자료에 담긴 현재 이름 없는 뮤지컬 배우나 스태프들이 미래에 대중의 사랑과 관심을 받는 뮤지컬, 방송, 영화의 주인공 또는 스타나 주요 스태프로 성장하게 되면, 한 인물의 역사적인 자료로 많은 대중들에게 관심을 받을 수 있는 귀중한 자료가 될 수 있을 것이다. 뮤지컬 산업의 자료 측면에 있어서도 지금까지 홍보물이나 공연사진 등 최종 연출된 산출물로만 남겨지던 다큐멘터리 자료 수집유형에서 벗어나, 보다 사실적인 산업 자료로도 사용 될 수 있을 것이다.
