신경회로망을 이용한 가공조건에 따른 원형가공 표면거칠리 평가 (Evaluation of Circle Machining Surface Roughness on the Process Conditions using Neural Network)

  • The purpose of this study was to present the method to choose the optimization machining condition for the wire electric machine. This was completed by examining the ever-changing quality of the material and by improving the function of the wire electric discharge machine. Precision metal mold products and the unmanned wire electric discharge machining system were used and then applied in industrial fields. This experiment uses the wire electric discharge machine with brass wire electrode of 0.25mm. To measure the precision of the machining surface, average values are obtained from 3 samples of measures of center-line average roughness by using a third dimension gauge and a stylus surface roughness gauge. In this experiment, we changed no-node voltage to 7 and 9, pulse-on-time to $6{\mu}s,\;8{\mu}s$ and $10{\mu}s$, pulse-off-time to $8{\mu}s,\;10{\mu}s$ and $13{\mu}s$, and experimented on wire tension at room temperature by 1000gf, 1200gf, and 1400gf, respectively.

  • Multiple ZnO nanorod device detecting $NO_2$ gas was fabricated by sol-gel growth method and gas response characteristics were measured as a chemical gas sensor. The device is mainly composed of sensing electrode and sensing nano material. To acquire high sensitivity of the device for $NO_2$ gas it was heated by a heat chuck up to $400^{\circ}C$ The sensing part was easily made using the CMOS compatible process, for example, the large area and low temperature nano material growth process, etc. The sensors were successfully demonstrated and showed high sensitive response for $NO_2$ gas sensing.

  • GaN-based light-emitting diodes (LEDs) with ZnO nanorod arrays on a planar indium tin oxide (ITO) transparent electrode were demonstrated. ZnO nanorods were grown into aqueous solution at low temperature of $90^{\circ}C$. Under 20 mA current injection, the light output efficiency of the LED with ZnO nanorod arrays on ITO was remarkably increased by about 40 % of magnitude compared to the conventional LED with only planar ITO. The enhancement of light output by the ZnO nanorod arrays is due to the formation of side walls and a rough surface resulting in multiple photon scattering at the LED surface.

  • For the rather complicated and time-consuming three-dimensional electric field calculation in the vicinity of substations, this paper proposes a numerical calculation method based on charge simulation method(CSM). In order to represent non-uniform charge distribution on an electrode better, it is subdivided into small segments with linear charge density. Non-uniform arrangement of subdivided segments makes it possible to obtain high accuracy with a small number of variables. As for the arrangement of subdivided segments, effective formulars were derived from multiple regression analysis of many simulations. These formulars make the arrangement of segments fast and effective. The proposed method is applied to the electric field calculation around the 345kV Sinmasan Substation busbars and the distribution of calculated electric fields is compared with that of the measured electric fields.

Secondary resonances of a microresonator under AC-DC electrostatic and DC piezoelectric actuations

  • This article studies the secondary resonances of a clamped-clamped microresonator under combined electrostatic and piezoelectric actuations. The electrostatic actuation is induced by applying the AC-DC voltage between the microbeam and the electrode plate that lies at the opposite side of the microbeam. The piezoelectric actuation is induced by applying the DC voltage between upper and lower sides of piezoelectric layer. It is assumed that the neutral axis of bending is stretched when the microbeam is deflected. The drift effect of piezoelectric layer (the phenomenon where there is a slow increase of the free strain after the application of a DC field) is neglected. The equations of motion are solved by using the multiple scale perturbation method. The system possesses a subharmonic resonance of order one-half and a superharmonic resonance of order two. It is shown that using the DC piezoelectric actuation, the sensitivity of AC-DC electrostatically actuated microresonator under subharmonic and superharmonic resonances may be tuned. In addition, it is shown that the tuning domain of the microbeam under combined electrostatic and piezoelectric actuations at subharmonic and superharmonic conditions is larger than the tuning domain of microbeam under only the electrostatic actuation.

  • 본 논문은 탄성표면파를 이용한 소형 TV중간주파 필터의 설계 및 제작과정을 보고한다. 초기의 원하는 임펄스응답을 얻기 위해 윈도우잉 (windowing) 방법 및 주파수 샘플링 방법이 제안되어 시간축샘플링 방법과 비교 연구되었으며, 트랩부근에서 원하는 특성을 얻기 위해 회절영향이 보상되었다. 다중 반사를 줄이고 비대칭 특성을 얻기 위해 4f0샘플링 기법을 사용하였으며, 효과적인 사진부식 방법을 사용하여 11.2㎛의 폭을 갖는 양호한 핑거가 얻어겼다. 본 연구는 SAW 필터의 국산화라는 차원에서. 요구하는 사양을 만족시킬 수 있고, 양산성이 있는 크기를 가진 제품을 개발하였음을 보고한다.

Study on High Efficiency EEFL Backlight inverter for 32-inch LCD TV

  • As the screen size of LCD increases, EEFL(External Electrode Fluorescent Lamp) has been suggested to be applicable as backlight source for LCD . Since the electrodes of EEFL are outside of the tube, EEFL enhances the lifetime compared with CCFL(Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp), and a single inverter can drive multiple EEFL tubes of which luminance is uniform Therefore, a compact design can be realized and the cost of EEFL application would be much lower than that of CCFL. Moreover, EEFL inverter has higher efficiency per unit power than CCFL inverter. In this paper, a complementary full-bridge PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) inverter was designed for 32-inch LCD TV backlight which has 20 EEFL tubes and adapted two different driving methods to the EEFL inverter. The validity of this study is confirmed from the experimental results.

ZnO 나노 분말 코팅 기반 건식전사 그래핀 전극 제작 및 유기태양전지 응용 (Partially Dry-Transferred Graphene Electrode with Zinc Oxide Nanopowder and Its Application on Organic Solar Cells)

  • In this study, partially dry transfer is investigated to solve the problem of fully dry transfer. Partially dry transfer is a method in which multiple layers of graphene are dry-transferred over a wet-transferred graphene layer. At a wavelength of 550 nm, the transmittance of the partially dry-transferred graphene is seen to be about 3% higher for each layer than that of the fully dry-transferred graphene. Furthermore, the sheet resistance of the partially dry-transferred graphene is relatively lower than that of the fully dry-transferred graphene, with the minimum sheet resistance being 179 Ω/sq. In addition, the fully dry-transferred graphene is easily damaged during the solution process, so that the performance of the organic photovoltaics (OPV) does not occur. In contrast, the best efficiency achievable for OPV using the partially dry-transferred graphene is 2.37% for 4 layers.

평면형 대기압 유전장벽방전장치의 제작 및 동작특성분석 (Fabrication of Atmospheric Coplanar Dielectric Barrier Discharge and Analysis of its Driving Characteristics)

  • The discharge characteristics of Surface Dielectric Barrier Discharge (SDBD) reactor are investigated to find optimal driving condition with adjusting various parameter. When the high voltage with sine wave form is applied to SDBD source, successive pulsed current waveforms are observed owing to multiple ignitions through the long discharge channel and wall charge accumulation on the dielectric surface. The discharge voltage, total charge between dielectrics, mean energy and power are calculated from measured current and voltage according to electrode gap and dielectric thickness. Discharge mode transition from filamentary to diffusive glow is observed for narrow gap and high applied voltage case. However, when the diffusive discharge is occurred with high applied voltage, the actual firing voltage is always lower than that with low driving voltage. The $Si_3N_4$, $MgF_2$, $Al_2O_3$ and $TiO_2$ are considered for dielectric protection and high secondary electron emission coefficient. SDBD with $MgF_2$ shows the lowest breakdown voltage. $MgF_2$ thin film is proposed as a protection layer for low voltage atmospheric dielectric barrier discharge devices.

Development of Ion-Selective Electrodes for Agriculture

  • There is a growing need to develop ion sensors for agriculture. As a result, several technologies have been developed, such as colorimetry, spectrophotometry, and ion-selective electrode (ISE). Among them, ISE has some advantages compared to others. First, it does not require pre-treatment processes and expensive equipment. Second, it is possible for the portable detection system by introducing small-sized electrodes. Finally, real-time and multiple detections of several ions are pursued. It is well-known that N, P, and K nutrients are critical for crop growth. With the development of agriculture techniques, the importance of soil nutrient analysis has attracted much attention for cost-effective and eco-friendly agriculture. Among several issues, minimizing the use of fertilizers is significant through quantitative analysis of soil nutrients. As a result, it is highly important to analyze certain nutrients, such as N (ammonium ion, nitrate ion, nitrite ion), P (dihydrogen phosphate ion, monohydrogen phosphate ion), and K (potassium ion). Therefore, developing sensors for accurate analysis of soil nutrients is highly desired. n this study, several ISEs have been fabricated to detect N, P, and K. Their performance has been intensively studied, such as sensitivity, selectivity coefficient, and concentration range, and compared with commercialized ISEs. In addition, preliminary tests on the in-situ N, P, and K monitoring have been conducted inside the soil.
