With proliferation of diverse network access technologies, users demands are also increasing and service providers are offering a Quality of Service (QoS) to satisfy their customers. In roaming, a mobile node (MN) traverses number of available networks in the heterogeneous wireless networks environment and a single operator is not capable to fulfill the demands of user. It is crucial task for MN for selecting a best network from the list of networks at any time anywhere. A MN undergoes a network selection situation frequently when it is becoming away from the home network. Multiple Attribute Group Decision (MAGD) method will be one of the best ways for selecting target network in heterogeneous wireless networks (4G). MAGD network selection process is predominantly dependent on two steps, i.e., attribute weight, decision maker's (DM's) weight and aggregation of opinion of DMs. This paper proposes Multi-Attribute Intuitionistic Fuzzy Group Decision Method (MAIFGDM) using TOPSIS for the selection of the suitable candidate network. It is scalable and is able to handle any number of networks with large set of attributes. This is a method of lower complexity and is useful for real time applications. It gives more accurate result because it uses Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets (IFS) with an additional parameter intuitionistic fuzzy index or hesitant degree. MAIFGDM is simulated in MATLAB for its evaluation. A comparative study of MAIFDGM is also made with TOPSIS and Fuzzy-TOPSIS in respect to decision delay. It is observed that MAIFDGM have low values of decision time in comparison to TOPSIS and Fuzzy-TOPSIS methods.
The objectives of the study were to evaluate the aquatic environment of an urban stream using various ecological parameters of biological biomarkers, physical habitat quality and chemical water quality and to develop a "Multimetric Eco-Model" ($M_m$-E Model) for the ecosystem evaluations. For the applications of the $M_m$-E model, three zones including the control zone ($C_Z$) of headwaters, transition zone ($T_Z$) of mid-stream and the impacted zone ($I_Z$) of downstream were designated and analyzed the seasonal variations of the model values. The biomarkers of DNA, based on the comet assay approach of single-cell gel electrophoresis (SCGE), were analyzed using the blood samples of Zacco platypus as a target species, and the parameters were used tail moment, tail DNA(%) and tail length (${\mu}m$) in the bioassay. The damages of DNA were evident in the impacted zone, but not in the control zone. The condition factor ($C_F$) as key indicators of the population evaluation indicator was analyzed along with the weight-length relation and individual abnormality. The four metrics of Qualitative Habitat Evaluation Index (QHEI) were added for the evaluations of physical habitat. In addition, the parameters of chemical water quality were used as eutrophic indicators of nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P), chemical oxygen demand (COD) and conductivity. Overall, our results suggested that attributes of biomarkers and bioindicators in the impacted zone ($I_Z$) had sensitive response largely to the chemical stress (eutrophic indicators) and also partially to physical habitat quality, compared to the those in the control zone.
This study was carried out to evaluate urban environmental structure in Taegu metropolitan region(TMR) with factor analysis, fuzzy set theory, geostatistic and geographic information system(GIS). The factor analysis could choose the representative one out of multiple variables and simplify the evaluation of the urban environmental structure. The fuzzy approach is an attempt to model an aspect of human thinking previously neglected; it starts from the premise that humans don't represent classes of objects as fully disjoint but rather as sets where transitions from membership to non-membership is gradual. The Geographic Information System(GIS) could connect attributes of factor scores derived from factor analysis to digital map by a method so called 'Spatial join'. The results obtained were as follows: Urbanization appearance was concentrated in the large cities, and this appearance was partial extremely, therefore, there has been a structural gap between urban area and agricultural area which was unified into the urban area. All inclinations didn't become worse after sudden urbanization. For example, suburban agriculture was developed as a large scale in the region near the large cities. Then it encouraged farmers in changing their old cultivating methods to the latest ones. But many districts in urban fringe had symptom of urbanization, the districts which were located between large cities have been developed gradually because of urban sprawl, and played a role in connecting each city. Therefore, due to the urbanization, forestry area and agricultural land, well conserved in the agricultural town, could be easily destroyed. In a different way with the urbanization of the Seoul metropolitan region, that of TMR was centralized upon the center of each city, and it was also very partial. But, because so many regions have the potentiality of urbanization, hereafter, the urbanization process in each region is likely to be different multifariously according to the urban management methods.
$Kochujang$ is a fermented paste originated from in and $Kochujang$ sauce is a nutritionally and functionally improved version of $Kochujang$ with additions of beef and tonic herbal extracts. The optimization of the ingredient ratios in the manufacturing of $Kochujang$ sauce was investigated using central composite design and response surface methodology. The amount of beef ($X_1$) and the amount of tonic herbal extract ($X_2$) were chosen as the independent variables. The dependent variables consisted of the properties and sensory evaluation scores The examined physicochemical properties included water activity, pH, color, viscosity, and soluble solids. The sensory evaluation attributes were color, flavor, taste, texture, and overall acceptability. Among them, the selected dependent variables were the sauce viscosity ($Y_1$) and the overall acceptability ($Y_2$) of the sauce. The optimal conditions for the independent variables were $X_1$= 9.7% and $X_2$= 14.1%. In addition, the predicted values of the multiple response optimal conditions were $Y_1$= 331000 (cP) and $Y_2$= 7.1 (points), and the actual experimental values were $Y_1$= 3316667 (cP) and $Y_2$= 7 (points).

With the widespread use of the Internet, services for providing large-capacity multimedia data such as video-on-demand (VOD) services and video uploading sites have greatly increased. VOD service providers want to be able to provide users with high-quality keyframes of high quality videos within a few minutes after the broadcast ends. However, existing keyframe extraction tends to select keyframes whose quality as a keyframe is insufficiently considered, and it takes a long computation time because it does not consider an HD class image. In this paper, we propose a keyframe selection method that flexibly applies multiple keyframe quality metrics and improves the computation time. The main procedure is as follows. After shot boundary detection is performed, the first frames are extracted as initial keyframes. The user sets evaluation metrics and priorities by considering the genre and attributes of the video. According to the evaluation metrics and the priority, the low-quality keyframe is selected as a replacement target. The replacement target keyframe is replaced with a high-quality frame in the shot. The proposed method was subjectively evaluated by 23 votes. Approximately 45% of the replaced keyframes were improved and about 18% of the replaced keyframes were adversely affected. Also, it took about 10 minutes to complete the summary of one hour video, which resulted in a reduction of more than 44.5% of the execution time.
New design method has been required for web designers to grasp the proper emotion, impression, and feeling of a web site and reflect these elements in web design. It is certain that such a new methodology can be a useful design tool, although web designers have only relied on their intuition and experience to induce users to perceive specific emotion of web sites. In this study, Kansei Engineering Type Ⅰ (Nagamachi, 2002 and Park, 2000) method was applied to develop the methodology. One hundred thirty six web sites believed to convey emotions effectively were first selected by recommendation of professional web designers and twenty two web sites were finally chosen and evaluated using questionnaire. The web sites were then objectively and quantitatively assessed by measuring the degree of utilization of the design elements, balance, overall density, and homogeneity. We examined the cause-and-effect between the results of emotional and quantitative analysis by multiple regression and introduced the design methodology based on the examination. The research method and procedures applied to this study would be applicable to design studies related to the emotional inducement.
Previous researches have proven that corporate social responsibility(adhere CSR) is positively related to corporate performance. But Most of CSR related researches have several limitations. One of limitations is that those researches treated CSR as unidimensional construct. Almost researchers in the area of CSR concepts insisted that CSR is consist of multi dimensions. Carroll's four dimensions of CSR have been utilized by numerous academicians. Carroll asserted that CSR is composed of four dimensions: economic, legal, ethical, and philanthropic responsibility. But Carroll's dimensions were revised as three dimensions by Schwartz and Carroll, because ethical and philanthropic responsibility are not mutually exclusive. If CSR construct is composed of multiple dimensions, a message related to one of dimensions changes beliefs or evaluations about other dimensions that are not mentioned in the message. This phenomenon is called as "spillover effect". According to Ahluwalia, Unnava, and Burnkrant, negative information spills over to attributes that are associated with the target attributes but not mentioned in the message. Like this, this preponderant effect of negative information over positive information has been termed the "negativity effect". In this paper, authors try to prove the spillover effect and negativity effect among Schwartz and Carroll's three dimensions(economic, legal, and ethical responsibility) of CSR. The results of this study show that messages related to legal and ethical responsibility cause spillover effect and influence consumers' evaluation to other dimensions. Moreover, when negativity effect is added on spillover effect, spillover effect is more increased. It means that negative messages related to legal and ethical responsibility is more harmful to corporate image than negative message related to economic responsibility. The results of this study will help companies to manage corporate image using CSR messages as marketing communication tools. Companies should manage messages related to legal and ethical responsibility for more efficiently managing corporate image. Specially, because negative messages related to legal and ethical responsibility are more harmful to corporate image, companies must take care not to spread out negative message related to legal and ethical responsibility. Finally, we discuss the implications of the findings and limitations.
A data stream is a massive unbounded sequence of data elements continuously generated at a rapid rate. Due to the characteristics of a data stream, it is impossible to save all the data elements of a data stream. Therefore it is necessary to define a new synopsis structure to store the summary information of a data stream. For this purpose, this paper proposes a cuboid prefix tree that can be effectively employed in evaluating an iceberg query over data streams. A cuboid prefix tree only stores those itemsets that consist of grouping attributes used in GROUP BY query. In addition, a cuboid prefix tree can compute multiple iceberg queries simultaneously by sharing their common sub-expressions. A cuboid prefix tree evaluates an iceberg query over an infinitely generated data stream while efficiently reducing memory usage and processing time, which is verified by a series of experiments.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to propose the product quality satisfaction index based on multiple linear regression using customer reviews. Methods: The proposed framework is composed of four steps. First, we collect online reviews and divide it into insight phrases. The insight phrases are classified using product attribute dictionary and sentiment analysis is conducted. Second, the importance of attributes is calculated in consideration of both regression coefficient and frequency. Third, the positive rate is calculated concerning sentiment analysis result. Therefore, the quality satisfaction index is measured by the weighted sum of importance and positive rate in the last step. Results: We conduct a case study using 2-years(2020, 2021) of Samsung TV reviews to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed methodology. As a result, we found that Picture quality is the most crucial attribute in TV evaluation. The importance of Gaming and content has grown up as the positive rate has also increased. Therefore, the overall satisfaction of TV has increased in 2021 compared to 2020. Conclusion: The result of this study shows that the proposed index reveals the customer's mind efficiently and can be explained by the importance and positive rate of each attribute. By using the proposed index, companies are able to improve and the priority of improvement can be determined.

The development of construction industry has led to the increase in the number of criteria imposed by project clients for selecting contractors. For example, clients often request tenderers to satisfy various conditions such as tight programme, financial strength, managerial ability, relevant work experiences, technical strength, high workmanship standard, safety requirement, quality specification, and yet others. This trend has attracted research interests of devising various methods for helping project clients to assess contractors' bids. For example, in recent development, the Works Bureau of the Hong Kong Government has introduced two mechanisms in tender evaluation for various public work contracts, namely, the Marking Scheme effective from June 2002 and the Formula Approach effective from November 2002 [1], [2]. These approaches evaluate a contractor's tender by considering collectively its tender price and performance attributes, the latter including contractor experience, past performance, technical resources and technical content of his proposal. The tender with the highest combined price and performance score (CPPS) will be normally recommended for acceptance. It appears, however, that there is little existing research in helping contractors to identify a competition strategy that enables the contractor to offer his most competitive bid collectively taking into account his resource capacities and project client's multiple performance criteria. This paper examines the factors affecting contractor's competition strategy to compete for works in Hong Kong. The understanding about the factors will contribute to identifying effective competition strategy. The data used for the analysis were collected from Hong Kong construction industry. The research findings may provide valuable references for investigating effective competition strategies in other construction industries outside the region.
