We compared and analyzed the effects of establishing multilateral FTA and bilateral FTA on the R&D investment of exporting firms when they compete in Cournot fashion and when the government of the importing country acts strategically. In the short run, we found that the importing country prefers to enter into a bilateral FTA with each exporting country separately for maximizing its welfare. However, we also found that, in the long run, it is more welfare-enhancing policy for importing country that entering into a multilateral FTA with all of the exporting countries simultaneously because it helps facilitate the R&D investment of exporting firms. But once entering into a multilateral FTA, the exporting firms would be faced with more intensive R&D investment competition and hence they would suffer severe welfare loss.

Recently, it's a trend that the third party outsourcing logistics will be increased a logistics flow from law material to final products. The government also works on promoting logistics company as securing the expertise for strengthen logistics industry and secure competitiveness. Nevertheless, logistics market have been divided by polarization between small logistics company and major company. Also a labor who work for logistics is being caused by worsened working conditions. That is one of results of the survey. Almost 50% of response are they have not been aware of FTA and have not known to need the FTA. Many respondents said that entering the overseas logistics or a new way like FTA will be difficult to take part in. Therefore I suggest several examples in this paper to encourage a vitalization of small logistics company through the multilateral FTA. Now our country needs to make an effort to maximize connections between multilateral FTA and policy effect by signing FTA with many countries and extending Economic territory. This effect can completely cope with the improvement of economic interests, establishing regional integration strategy and change of global supply chain. Therefore, a small business logistics have to make their competitiveness & a new dealing market in the future.

The world trading system has been under many changes in recent years. One notably important development is that much attention away from the multilateralism-oriented World Trade Organization towards FTA(Free Trade Agreement). The Free Trade Agreement signed between korea and chile formally have been come effective for free trade in goods and services as from April 1, 2004. During Free Trade Agreement negotiations between both countries. This study aims at presenting the suggestion for the Korea to make the WTO rules and FTA by analyzing The interpretation of FTA under WTO System. It was founded by the investigation of WTO rules, most of the provisions are similar with other FTA, but a little provisions different from other FTA's. It is an appearance from the contracting party's peculiar circumstances such as state of industrial development or future prospect, conditions around international trade. The whole world has entered the new stage of bilateral and multilateral FTA. The essential or new generation or bilateral and multilateral FTA is creating more trade opportunities, promoting all factors, commodity, service, capital, technology and talent freely flow through canceling the trade barriers between FTA, in order to develop together within the regions. It shows that the cooperations transfer form the whole region into FTA. FTA makes not only the free trade smooth ,but also takes place the trade distortion effect. especially as the agriculture has a speciality each country, should it is ignored in negotiation, many reactions will be occurred in the process of fta Therefore Korea needs to deliver the message that Korea's hub is an essential ingredient for an efficient FTA and WTO system in a bilateral and multilateral win-win framework. Consequently Korea should have criterions about the rules of FTA and WTO system for peculiar circumstances of Korean economy and international trade.

As the development of information and globalization of world economy enters new condition, the stake of every nation's makes more complwx, and multilateral negotiation lead by WTO is seriously delayed. But the number of agreement about FTA increase exponentially. In this study we aim to consider whether Korean FTA affects the relation of the trade of Korea and Japan or not, especially Automobile industry. The composition of this paper is as follows. Chap. 1 is Introduction. In Chap. 2, we consider the change of the Trade Policy of Korea focusing in FTA. In Chap. 3, we consider how Korean FTA affect the structure of Japan's Trade, especially the automobile industry of Korea and Japan. In Chap. 4, we have conclusion. As the conclusion, the impact to the automobile industry of Korea and Japan is that Korean FTA works to Korean automobile industry advantageously in micro level, but in macro level, the competition of world automobile industry move into a next generation technology market.

This study aims to quantify the value of origin among CPTPP and Korea, under the assumption that the 'cumulation' clause has large economic effects in multilateral FTAs and increase the possibility of improving FTA utilization. Analysing the relationship between value-added exports and FTA utilization rate, there is a positive correlation between the two variables, and the cumulation of multilateral production of CPTPP is expected to increase Korea's value-added exports. In the GTAP-VA model, the target of cumulation is calculated as 'Domestic Value Added', and all value-added of CPTPP are cumulated in the form of value added exports of exporting country. When Korea participates in CPTPP, it is possible to cumulate additional 6.3~9.6% value added, and the agreements with low FTA export utilization rates such as New Zealand, ASEAN would have greater economic effects of cumulation. For the successful implementation of CPTPP in Korea, it is necessary to develop a new origin verification system that enables multilateral value-added cumulation. It is time to seek cooperation with countries currently participating in CPTPP to prove the value added inherent in CPTPP-originating products.

Korea-China FTA and Korea-U.S. FTA are the most significant FTA in volume and economic effect for Korea's perspective. Developed countries have dealt with environmental issues one of the main issues in FTA negotiation, while developing countries have been reluctant to it. Both Korea-China FTA and Korea-U.S. FTA have separate environment chapter respectively. A separate environment chapter was firstly introduced in Korea-U.S. for Korea's perspective. Both environment chapters provide high level of environment protection, recognition of multilateral environmental agreements, enforcement of environmental laws, and environmental cooperation. Both environment chapters require that each party make effort to improve environmental laws and measures. Korea-China FTA provides establishment a "Committee on Environment and Trade", and Korea-U.S. FTA provides establishment a "Environment Council" to oversee the implementation of environment clauses. Korea-China FTA and Korea-U.S. FTA have very similar provisions on environment and trade, and are expected to contribute to enhancing environment protection. However, a lot of provisions are somewhat declaratory rather than mandatory. Therefore, further environmental cooperation is encouraged to achieve the goals and objectives of the environment clauses and FTA.

Trade between South Korea and Malaysia has been steadily increasing since the conclusion of the multilateral Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and South Korea. Bilateral FTAs such as Singapore-South Korea, Vietnam-South Korea, and Indonesia-South Korea came into effect to enhance the economic cooperation between South Korea and major ASEAN countries. However, the bilateral FTA between South Korea and Malaysia, known as Republic of Korea-Malaysia FTA, is still under negotiation. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the economic impact of a possible FTA between these two countries. To examine the economic effects of bilateral FTAs, this study analyzes the trade structure and change in the value of trade between Malaysia and South Korea using panel data analysis. Two significant findings were identified by the analysis. First, the Republic of Korea-Malaysia FTA is expected to promote trade and have a positive effect on the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of South Korea. Second, the result of the calculated price elasticity based on substituting figures such as tariff, demand elasticity, and export value is that the value of manufacturing exports is expected to considerably get an increase. Therefore, an early FTA between South Korea and Malaysia would be beneficial for both national economies.

다자간 무역기구인 WTO는 전통적 교역 분야 이외에 회원국의 국내 정책까지 관여하여 지역 정부의 역할과 자주성을 위협함에 따라 최근에는 양자간 FTA 체결이 증가하고 있다. 이와 같은 통상 환경 변화를 활용하기 위하여 한국과 중국은 FTA 체결을 위한 실질적인 합의에 도달하였다. 일반적으로 자동차 분야는 우리나라가 국제 경쟁력을 지닌 주력 산업으로 분류되어 한 중 FTA의 수혜 업종으로 기대되었으며, 실제로 분석 결과 한국의 자동차 산업이 중국에 비해 세계 시장에서 비교우위를 지닌 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 한 중 FTA 관세 철폐 계획에서 자동차는 양허 대상 품목에서 제외되어 우리가 기대했던 관세 철폐를 통한 한국산 자동차의 가격 경쟁력을 누릴 수 없게 되었다. 이에 따라 우리 자동차 업계는 중국의 비관세 장벽 철폐 등 투자 환경 개선을 통해 효율적인 대중국 투자 환경을 조성해야 하고 한 중 FTA상 자동차의 양허 편입에 대비하여 중국 내 세계 유수 자동차 업체의 대한국 수출 확대 가능성 방지를 위한 엄격한 원산지 규정안을 마련해야 한다. 또한 중국 내 브랜드 전략을 더욱 강화하며 친환경 차량 개발 지원을 통해 중국의 환경 정책에 부응하면서 관련 시장을 창출 확대해야 한다.

The purpose of this study is to verify the economic effects of the on going Korea-EU FTA negotiations upon the regional economy and to present some strategic economic countermeasures to deal with the forthcoming changes on the economic environments. In comparing with the industrial structure between Korea and EU, due to the different specific part of their industrial competitiveness both parts would have complementary cooperative transactions and trade as well. And also Korea and EU would have the similar understanding of the importance of the field of agriculture and service in accordance with the economic standpoint respectively. The level of degree and magnitude of the effect of Korea-EU FTA upon the regional economy would be decided in accordance with the industrial structure and the level of income of the regional economy. We are not to confirm and specify the economic influences of Korea-EU FTA negotiations on the economic conditions of Gangwon province but to prepare rational economic countermeasures fit to its structural character. One of the political strategies that might be feasible is the inflow of foreign direct investment from the developed European countries to the regional economy. This developing model would mean a new experiment to activate any regional economy and a new formation of the policy of economic growth.

냉전시대부터 존재해 온 국제 협정과 기구는 이와 비슷한 목표와 역할을 가지고 탈냉전시대에 탄생한 수많은 새로운 국제 협정과 기구들로부터 어떠한 영향을 받는가? 이 질문에 대해 일부 학자들은 부정적 영향을 받을 수 있다고 주장하고 있다. 이 연구는 냉전시대에 기원을 두고 있는 국제기구 중 하나인 WTO의 경우에는 어떠한지를 검토하는데 그 목표가 있다. 즉 WTO의 분쟁해결절차의 이용 혹은 제소 건수가 이 기구의 회원국들이 참여한 다자적, 혹은 양자적 FTA의 경험과 국제기구 경험으로부터 긍정적 영향을 받는지, 혹은 부정적 영향을 받는지를 분석하고 있다. 이 분석은, 일부 학자들의 주장과는 달리, WTO가 출범한 1995년부터 2016년까지 모든 회원국들을 분석 대상으로 할 때 그들의 FTA 경험이 WTO 제소 건수를 증가시키는 경향이 있고, 또 유럽연합의 개별 회원국들을 제외한 모든 WTO 회원국들을 분석대상으로 할 때 그들의 국제기구 경험도 WTO 제소 건수를 증가시키는 경향이 있다는 결과를 나타내고 있다.
