다직종 암환자 교육·상담에 대한 설문 개발과 환자 만족도 조사 (The Development of Multidisciplinary Cancer Patient Education·Counseling Questionnaire and Satisfaction Survey)

  • Background: Presently, a multidisciplinary team of doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and dietitians provides patient education to impart information on chemotherapy. However, studies on multidisciplinary education satisfaction are inadequate. In this study, we aimed to contribute to the improvement of quality of multidisciplinary education counseling for patients with cancer by developing a satisfaction questionnaire and analyzing the satisfaction survey. Methods: A questionnaire was developed by an expert group, and the responses were recorded using the 5-point Likert scale. After conducting a pre-test, factor analysis was performed to evaluate validity. The reliability of the questionnaire was measured by Cronbach's alpha coefficient. A satisfaction survey was conducted by self-administration method. Results: Based on the results of factor analysis, factors can be divided into two parts: "overall education" and "each team member's education" (total 14 questions). The construct validity and reliability of the questionnaire are sufficiently high. Fifty-one patients took the survey between January 2, 2018 and January 20, 2018. Twenty-six (51%) patients responded that they were "very satisfied" and 22 (43.1%) patients responded that they were "satisfied". Conclusion: By developing a questionnaire on multidisciplinary education counseling for patients with cancer, it is possible to perform evaluation and research of cancer patient education. This study will contribute to the management and improvement of quality of multidisciplinary education.

  • 본 논문에서는 회전익 비행체 개발과정에서 사용되는 다양한 해석데이터를 관리하기 위한 KHP - SDM 시스템 개발 및 회전익 비행체 개념설계를 위한 다분야통합 최적설계 프레임워크 개발에 관해 기술하였다. KHP-SDM 시스템 상에 개발된 다분야 해석 모듈을 통합하고 KHP-SDM의 최적화 모듈을 적용하여 KHP-SDM RMDO 프레임워크를 구축하였다. KHP-SDM RMDO 프레임워크를 이용한 회전익 비행체 개념설계 결과 프레임워크가 성공적으로 구성되었음을 보여주었다.

융합 학문으로서의 산업공학 : 학술지 인용 네트워크 분석을 활용한 산업공학의 학문적 융합 구조 탐색 (Industrial Engineering as a Multidisciplinary Field : Exploring the Structure of Academic Convergence in Industrial Engineering by Journal Citation Network Analysis)

  • One of the distinctive characteristics of industrial engineering (IE) is its multidisciplinarity. This paper explores the multidisciplinary nature of IE using journal citation network analysis. Using the relatedness indexes of IE journals obtained from journal citation report (JCR), we firstly construct the IE network only composed of 26 IE journals. The resulting IE network is partitioned into three sub-networks: management engineering, manufacturing/quality, and ergonomics. We then propose the IE convergence network which includes 81 related journals in other disciplines as well as 26 IE journals. Scrutinizing the IE convergence network reveals that IE has a high degree of interactions with seven disciplines : Operations Research and Management Science, Statistics and Probability, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Design, Business Management, Human Factors and Ergonomics. We investigate the contributions of the related disciplines to IE as well as contributions of IE to the related disciplines. The role of IE journals in exchanging knowledge with related disciplines is also identified by brokerage analysis. It is shown that visualizing and analyzing the IE convergence network can provide an excellent overview of the multidisciplinary structure of IE, which can help IE researchers easily grasp the state-of-the art of IE research.

Role of Artificial Neural Networks in Multidisciplinary Optimization and Axiomatic Design

  • Artificial neural network (ANN) has been extensively used in areas of nonlinear system modeling, analysis and design applications. Basically, ANN has its distinct capabilities of implementing system identification and/or function approximation using a number of input/output patterns that can be obtained via numerical and/or experimental manners. The paper describes a role of ANN, especially a back-propagation neural network (BPN) in the context of engineering analysis, design and optimization. Fundamental mechanism of BPN is briefly summarized in terms of training procedure and function approximation. The BPN based causality analysis (CA) is further discussed to realize the problem decomposition in the context of multidisciplinary design optimization. Such CA is also applied to quantitatively evaluate the uncoupled or decoupled design matrix in the context of axiomatic design with the independence axiom.

비행체 공력-구조-RF 스텔스 통합해석 시스템에 관한 연구 (An Integrated System for Aerodynamic, Structural, and RF Stealth Analysis of Flying Vehicles)

  • 최근 항공기 예비설계 단계에서 여러 분야의 설계요소를 동시에 고려하는 다분야 통합설계(Multidisciplinary Design) 기법이 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 CATIA를 기반으로 항공기 형상에 대한 공력, 구조, RF 스텔스의 성능 분석을 위한 통합시스템을 구축하였다. CATIA를 이용하여 공력, 구조, RF 스텔스 해석을 위한 동일 사각격자를 생성한 후 생성된 격자를 이용하여 공력특성과 구조변위를 계산하였다. 레이더 포착면적 (RCS) 계산은 사각격자로부터 삼각형 격자를 추가로 생성하여 수행하였다. 이 과정 중 각 해석분야의 입력 파일을 생성할 수 있는 변환코드를 개발하였다. 세부분야 해석기법으로 패널 코드 PANAIR, 전산구조해석 코드 NASTRAN, PO 기법에 기초한 RCS 해석코드를 사용하였다.

VSV-G Viral Envelope Glycoprotein Prepared from Pichia pastoris Enhances Transfection of DNA into Animal Cells

  • Vesicular stomatitis virus G glycoprotein (VSV-G) has been widely used for pseudotyping retroviral, lentiviral, and artificial viral vectors. The objective of this study was to establish a potential approach for large-scale production of VSV-G. To this end, VSV-G was cloned with an N-terminal His-tag into Pichia pastoris expression vector pPIC3.5K. Three clones ($Mut^s$) containing the VSV-G expression cassette were identified by PCR. All clones proliferated normally in expansion medium, whereas the proliferation was reduced significantly under induction conditions. VSV-G protein was detected in cell lysates by western blot analysis, and the highest expression level was observed at 96 h post induction. VSV-G could also be obtained from the condition medium of yeast protoplasts. Furthermore, VSV-G could be incorporated into Ad293 cells and was able to induce cell fusion, leading to the transfer of cytoplasmic protein. Finally, VSV-G-mediated DNA transfection was assayed by flow cytometry and luciferase measurement. Incubation of VSV-G lysate with the pGL3-control DNA complex increased the luciferase activity in Ad293 and HeLa cells by about 3-fold. Likewise, incubation of VSV-G lysate with the pCMV-DsRed DNA complex improved the transfection efficiency into Ad293 by 10% and into HeLa cells by about 1-fold. In conclusion, these results demonstrate that VSV-G could be produced from P. pastoris with biofunctionalities, demonstrating that large-scale production of the viral glycoprotein is feasible.

  • Multidisciplinary design optimization technique is applied to drum type washer in order to minimize the vibration of the cabinet. Dynamic analysis and structural analysis are carried out by using commercial programs to obtain the reliable responses. Analysis models are compared to the experimental responses and finally validated for further design. Two commercial programs are integrated by the design framework EMDIOS that provides interfaces to conveniently link between analyzers and performs design optimization. In this research we could obtain an optimum design that reduces the magnitude of amplitude by about 33% compared with the original design.

  • 본 연구에서는, 다분야 통합 해석을 이용한 순항미사일 형상 최적설계를 수행하였다. FORTRAN을 이용하여 개발한 공력, 중량, 성능 및 임무 해석 모듈을 프레임워크를 통하여 통합하였으며 최적화를 위하여 전역최적화 도구인 다윈 알고리즘을 사용하였다. 최적설계 결과, 다른 설계 구속조건을 만족시키면서 17% 가량 전체 무게를 줄일 수 있었다.

자동차 충돌문제에 MDO를 적용하기 위한 시스템 해석 방법 개발 (Development of System Analysis for the Application of MDO to Crashworthiness)

  • MDO (multidisciplinary design optimization) technology has been proposed and applied to solve large and complex optimization problems where multiple disciplinaries are involved. In this research. an MDO problem is defined for automobile design which has crashworthiness analyses. Crash model which are consisted of airbag, belt integrated seat (BIS), energy absorbing steering system .and safety belt is selected as a practical example for MDO application to vehicle system. Through disciplinary analysis, vehicle system is decomposed into structure subspace and occupant subspace, and coupling variables are identified. Before subspace optimization, values of coupling variables at given design point must be determined with system analysis. The system analysis in MDO is very important in that the coupling between disciplines can be temporary disconnected through the system analysis. As a result of system analysis, subspace optimizations are independently conducted. However, in vehicle crash, system analysis methods such as Newton method and fixed-point iteration can not be applied to one. Therefore, new system analysis algorithm is developed to apply to crashworthiness. It is conducted for system analysis to determine values of coupling variables. MDO algorithm which is applied to vehicle crash is MDOIS (Multidisciplinary Design Optimization Based on Independent Subspaces). Then, structure and occupant subspaces are independently optimized by using MDOIS.

A modified multidisciplinary feasible formulation for MDO using integrated coupled approximate models

  • This paper is concerned with the modification of multidisciplinary feasible formulation for MDO problems using the integrated coupled approximate models. A drawback of conventional MDFs is the numerical difficulty in decomposing the design variables and deriving the coupled equations of state. To overcome such a drawback of conventional methods, the coupling in analysis and design is resolved by approximating the state variables in each discipline by the response surface method and by modifying the optimization formulation using the corresponding integrated coupled approximate models. The validity, reliability and effectiveness of the proposed method are illustrated and verified through two optimization problems, a mathematical MDF problem and the multidisciplinary optimum design of suspension unit of wheeled armored vehicle.
